On the first occasions I visited the meat department, there was the worst ell of rotten or spoiled meat. I was wearing a mask so I picked up one of the chicken and brought it close to face the ell was so strong I had to put it down. I called over a manager who was talking to another employee and told him that this chicken was spoiled. He picked it up and said "yes it". He called someone from the meat department and told him to remove it and a few others. He vehemently apologized and offered a cleanser for my hands. This was about a month ago. Last week I went to that same food lion store. Sure that it was just an oversight, my first experience. But, I saw a package of meat that makes me question if i would ever shop at the meat department again, in this Food Lion.store. This meat in my opinion was not looking right. I showed it to an employee working in that department and he said " this shouldn't be here". He took it to the back and when I looked, he had put the package of meat back among the other meats, very concerning to me.

I shop here often, usually a couple times a week. Always a great experience unless you need something from the deli. There's almost always an issue at the deli. Either it's hard to get someone to "notice" you or they have a bad attitude and act kind you're an inconvenience for them. It's been the same for a long time. I guess good help is hard to find these days...

Be aware overcharge from this place especially we you’re buying multiple items. They don’t have price guarantee policy so even you caught they over charge they only pay back over charge portion. So you still lose time and effort. Broccoli priced $1.29 per pound charged $2.79 per head that is $3.20 over charged. See photos. I was also charged apple price for banana. Wonder if their cashiers bonus is linked to the total charged value during duty hours. Avoid this place if you can and go the place with guaranteed price policy.

I live five mins away from this store. I usually come in right prior to closing since it seems the only time I can catch a break and leave my house. The night manager is always there and he’s so very pleasant and sweet. First to ask how I’m doing and probably one of the reasons I’ll always return. I don’t know much about him but he’s always too kind when I run in just to hurry and run out!

People are paid to work here but yet you can’t get help. Stood at the deli for more than 10 minutes and they look at you like why are you here I’m too busy standing around to help you. I walked out and left my cart with groceries and will drive the extra few miles to Publix.

This is a small grocery store and the displays were poorly laid out, making maneuvering between aisles, checkout, and various sections difficult. It appeared to be relatively clear and well stocked though. As with most Food Lions, they don't carry the largest variety (I shop at my local Food Lion regularly, so this is not typically an issue and I'm well aware). Overall, we found what we were looking for and prices were quite reasonable, as I expected.

Had a great cashier. They have a nice sale going on for the 4th of July. But things are going fast. Only issue I had was the signs for the items down each aisle. Most stores will have canned meat on the sign, for things like tuna and the like. This store didn't. I had to ask someone that worked there.

The deli staff seem to be annoyed by customers approaching. Rather than offer assistance the ones that seem to be managers walk away even when you stand directly in front of them. They seem to need to be reminded they work in customer service. However, a very nice woman there in the evenings sometimes deserves to be commended, I believe her name is Sherry. That woman deserves a raise, she's far more friendly than any other deli staff I have tried to gain the attention of and always asks if she can help me before I have a chance to ask for help.

Wanted some wings around 5PM yesterday. Food bar was a mess with half the items missing. I've been here before & had good experience. Yesterday they must not have had enough staff to monitor it for cleanliness nor stock.

Basic super market, prices are decent selection is OK.The staff.Roll your dice folks. Some of the best and worst people I've encountered all come from this one store. Technically this would still leave them above average.

Used to be great! Super convenient, low cost, and friendly, helpful staff. While the staff is still very friendly, this particular Food Lion Store has been struggling a little more than other area grocery stores.Since the pandemic, they are frequently/always low or out of stock on multiple items, far more so than any other grocery store within 5 miles, in my opinion. I understand that supply chains are a problem nationwide/worldwide. In comparison, the two other nearest Food Lions both seem to keep their shelves mostly full. Perhaps this store just has that much higher turn-over?Bottom line: While they are still super convenient to where I live, over the past 6 months I've had to change my shopping habits and remember to stop elsewhere on my commute home. In the near future, I hope they are able to catch up and keep a robust stock - like their competitors. I'd sure like to be able to count on them to have what I need; like they always did for the past decade+ before the pandemic.

Always able to get whatever I need. Get in & out quickly. The employees are always friendly. I just stopped by there today. I noticed that the employees were definitely sanitizing their stations (or areas) in their down time or after each customer. That's good (I guess) because, even though face masks are recommend in this area, I don't think that they are required here anymore. Unlike some of the other states that I've been through. Besides that, I made sure that I was signed up for the MVP card for Food Lion (which is free). I just wanted to be sure that I save wherever I can. It all matters. It all adds up. Especially if you have multiple people to look after. Good luck out there you guy's! Stay safe & try to have fun!

I love this location! I always come here to get what I need! The workers are always nice and helpful and they give this location a nice mom and pop community atmosphere! They also have a small but nice plant selection here. I just purchased a Yucca plant for a great price! The size of it was really nice and I'm so excited to make it a house plant for my place!

I enjoy this Food Lion in Ladson on college park road. Always clean, well stocked, the lines move fast, and the staff is friendly. I visited today, and still the same great features I’ve mentioned, but with the exception of the cashier this morning. I had my mask 😷 on and she had a mask 😷 on to, but I couldn’t hear her talk and asked her several times if she could speak up just a little so I could interact with her. I wanted to give her my phone number to use for my Food Lion rewards card because my card was not matching my name and I did call the home office last week and straightened this all out. A new card and number will be issued and sent by postal mail. I tried to tell her this but she wouldn’t do it. I asked again and she gave me her card from the register and I didn’t want her card. She eventually took my phone number, and rang my purchases up. She didn’t say thank you or another word to me. I said thank you and left. This must be an isolated incident, but I won’t be visiting her register in the near future. This is a great store to grocery shop in.

Today, May 18, 2023, I bought pickles that expired in January 2023, guacamole that expired 5 days ago, and salsa that tasted like it expired in 2022. WTW food lion, get it together. More like Food Lyin'

Gave 3 stars for reasons: Prices continue to rise and it appears this grocery chain is taking full advantage. Brand name items are a bit pricey. Food Lion has some quality items but sometimes below standards on quality and quantity. Meats are prepackaged and sent to the store from a meat processor. The store has a meat manager, but he only stocks the prepackaged meat he orders from the processor. He does cut meats but very little if any. There are meat clerks, but no meat cutters present. I sure miss the meat cutters from 20 years ago, because you could order special products and cuts directly from these professionals. They no longer are available. Most have retired or have taken up another trade or quit altogether.

My Food Lion is so convenient and they always have good sales. Of course these days with the Covid there are a lot of items not on the shelf. My store is always clean and I have built a nice relationship with all the people that work there!!! They are always friendly and have a smile behind those masks!!

I have never actually been inside this location of Food Lion. Instead, groceries are ordered online and the very friendly staff bring them out and put them in my automobile. Because of the service I never have to leave my vehicle nor enter the store. They are always extremely prompt and complete in their shopping for my orders.

My trip today was a big one. I was supposed to have surgery December 10th, but had a stroke instead. Today was the first grocery trip sense then. The stickers made it hard to shop and were so busy I dare not stop them from their jobs to ask for more diet Sprite and Root Beer. But my checkout lady was nice and so was the supervisor who helped me to my car. Thank you so very much.

I bought four containers of sugar from here. They were a year from expiration, and so hard I couldn’t chisel any from the blocks they sold me. They obviously don’t check much, or need a to invest in a dehumidifier for the sugar isle.

I like shopping this Food Lion early around 8 am they're usually stocked or stocking it's easy to find what you're looking for, the workers are really helpful and there's not a lot of people to maneuver around. Good shopping experience nicely stocked location go see for yourself.

The store is pretty clean, however , when I check out the cashier never greets me. After all my items are scanned, they never say the total or even acknowledge my presence. This is not the first occurrence.
