I was very much impressed with the care and service that the Doctor and staff provided my dogs today. After driving 2,500 miles from California to South Carolina, my dogs were stressed and got into a 8 minute UFC cage match fight. When I took them in to the clinic for their injuries, the doctor and staff were understanding and great; and the problem is now resolved. They were awesome!! The doctor is a dog whisperer!

Thank you so much to the doctors and staff that took the time and care of our neighborhood cat Bo. It was late on Sunday evening when he showed severe signs of distress. We rushed him to Island Pet Urgent Care. We are very sad to lose such a sweet cat, but we are very grateful for the care that Bo, my husband and myself received.Staff and Doctor sent a lovely card along with his prints and memories of Bo.Thank you again

I can’t say enough great things about this practice! They have saved and truly cared about my two special needs dogs recently. One being extreme hydrocephalus that other vets had just told us to euthanize as a best option . The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and the customer service; next level. On top of that they are very reasonably priced for emergency medicine!! Is there a 6 star option?

The kindness and professionalism I experienced here today completely blew me away. Our neighborhood pond duck was bitten by another animal, likely a snapping turtle. The team got us back immediately and went above and beyond with the care. The doctor was so empathetic - you can tell she 100% loves her patients. I am so grateful for this urgent care & highly, highly recommend!

I highly recommend Island Urgent Care! Our dog ate some elephant ear plant leaf's. I googled it. Very toxic. Immediately brought him to Island Urgent Pet Care. They were awesome! Professional, knew exactly what to do for him and did very fast. I felt extremely confident he was in great hands, and he was. While there the Veterinarian, during her exam of his mouth, noticed a growth on his gum. We never would have seen that. We can now take him to his regular vet for a biopsy of it. Thank you! I’m so glad this is an option! Their team took such good care of my pup this weekend, made sure I was comfortable with his treatment, and even accommodated me being a little cautious and agreeing to give him more care than they recommended, at an extremely reasonable cost (we are talking less than I paid for a routine scheduled visit recently). As they were getting him ready to be discharged I could hear the team saying goodbye, telling them they loved him and would miss him and it just shows how much they truly care about the pets they treat. They even called the next day to check in on him and make sure he was still doing okay, which I’ve never had an emergency vet do. 10/10 recommend.

Our 7 yr old bunny was very sick and suffering so we brought him here for end of life care. It was a very sad time & we have never gone thru this before so did not know what to expect. The entire staff from front desk, to techs, to vet were all super compassionate and caring. I was impressed by them in every way. They made a really difficult time a little easier and we appreciate it!Updated to add that we received a card with very sweet and sympathetic hand written notes from the vet, tech, and receptionist. It also had a little heart (with flower seeds on it) to plant in remembrance of him. This was such an unexpected and sweet surprise in the mail!

Great experience at Island pet urgent care. While on vacation in Charleston our goldendoodle Tinkerbell was experiencing pain issues. We were able to bring her in the middle of the night, she was seen right away, the staff was super friendly, gentle, and thorough. Highly recommend! Little Tink is already feeling so much better 😃

Our cat, George, started urinating out of his litter box and we called our vet to see if we could get him in quickly to make sure he was ok. They unfortunately did not have any availability to treat him until the following week and we didn’t want to wait. That’s when we went to Island Pet Urgent Care and we’re so happy we did.Dr. Maston was thorough and kind walking us through the possible causes, only performing necessary tests, and giving us a treatment plan to get George comfort quickly and hopefully to resolution without surgery.We are grateful to Dr. Maston, and Niko for their care and compassion towards our beloved George and helping us navigate his new diet and treatment plan.

The best vet I have been to. The staff is SO nice. You can tell the doctor really cares about animals. We had to get my dogs tail amputated here, after using my normal vet to try to save it to no avail. My normal vet wanted $3,000 they only charged me $700!! And we’re so much more compassionate. Highly recommend. Thank yall for everything!

This was the best experience! The dog had injured her leg and it was Sunday. I arrived just as they were opening and immediately we were all treated well.I was really impressed by the entire staffs compassion.We got a thorough exam, X-rays and medication all for less than $400, which is much less than we expected for the level of care and service. It really brought the experience over the top.I hope we never have need again but we're glad they're there.

Dr. Laura Maston and her entire staff treated us extremely well. We traveled from Sumter on Friday night because our Min Pin was experiencing difficulty breathing. Everyone was so very friendly and helpful and Dr. Maston was so compassionate and understanding. She made sure that we understood everything that she did and the cost was actually less than what our regular vet was going to charge us. We would recommend her 100% because we came away very satisfied with the experience and felt that we had made friends. We will go to our regular vet for routine stuff like vaccinations and heart worm meds, but when it is something more serious, we will definitely return to Island Pet Urgent Care. It was more than worth the trip. Thank you to everyone there!!!!

I am so thankful for Island Pet Urgent Care! They took incredible care of my dog while he had symptoms of gastroenteritis. Dr. Odle and her staff are the kindest, patient, intelligent, and compassionate veterinarians I have taken Louie to see. They were very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. I never felt like I couldn’t ask or check on him as he stayed in their care all day. My dog is on his way to recovery thanks to their wonderful staff. I highly recommend taking your pet to them!! Being seen by one of the top vets in the Lowcountry in a state of the art and welcoming facility after hours saved a dear pet’s life. The entire team at IPUC provided excellent care from check in to end of life care. They treated Harry with kindness and compassion in his final moments and I will be forever grateful to the team for that. Thank you for creating a safe and calm space for us to say goodbye to our beautiful boy.

Took my black lab here after he reopened a wound he got earlier in the week. They got me in within an hour on a Sunday afternoon. Dr. Odle and Niko took care of us and answered all my questions patiently, gave great advice, and filled me in on what to expect during recovery. They gave me options and the price was reasonable for the care we received. They told me exactly how much it would be before performing the treatment. Would 100% return here if the need arose again!

Just got home from seeing Dr Odle Island Pet Urgent Care I give 5 ⭐️We were seen quickly - the staff and Dr Odle were friendly and attentive and gave a very thorough exam. Willa has had a an upset tummy for a few days that changed this am - will spare the TMIThey gave her a an anti-nausea shot and sent us home with special food, probiotic meds for a few days. They believe she just ate something on one of our walks that she shouldn’t have… Big sis 🐕 Kali taught her that 😝Very grateful to have this option on Johns Island. Especially on a Sunday!#PetCare

Dr. Maston is a literal angel and if you need any urgent care for your pet you need to take them here. My dog became sick while we were vacationing in Folly Beach so my sister found this place to take him to. She was so kind, caring, and compassionate. She helped ease my nerves and comforted me by bringing me a snack and reassuring me that she was keeping my dog well and was constantly checking on him. Dr. Maston is a rare, exceptional human and she is truly the best!!

My gp vet was unwilling to do a procedure without full-on anesthesia, which didn’t make sense to me since it was clearly a superficial derm issue. Dr. Odie offered to do it under local, and I’m just so glad I didn’t give in to the pressure from our gp vet. So wish I had gone to Island Pet before the I wasted the money at the gp vet. Such a super competent staff plus such an amazing environment. No wait at all on a Friday or Saturday. Just triage alone at cvrc was 3 hrs. If your pet is having an urgent issue, take advantage of the great docs at island pet urgent care!
