During the pandemic we were in a situation needing dog care for our Maltipoo. By the grace of God our paths had crossed with Mark & Desiree. They put us at ease by sharing their personal story and Dusty had his first Resort and Spa Spa Stay. Their love and passion for dogs is undeniable which can be portrayed through their selective staff. Over the past 3 years we’ve been completely satisfied with the cleanliness, peaceful atmosphere, pleasant smell, and professional staff along with the all of the upgrades! Scheduling a grooming session during or before pick up is a definite perk that we love!

My 3 huskies experienced their first time away from home at The Woods Canine Resort and Spa. They spent 5 days in the superior indoor/outdoor suite. This was actually a cute and cozy room with a TV and music playing as opposed to a kennel. I liked that the room felt very private and they even had a privacy curtain for the door. The noise level in the facility when I toured the place was a lot quieter than other facilities. It really felt more like a resort than a boarding facility. I also really appreciated all of the daily pictures that they posted on their facebook page to let me know that my babies were ok. The day after their stay, we took them to the dog park and my youngest baby had clearly gained so much confidence around other dogs. She had been a little stand-offish around other dogs but now she runs around freely and at ease.

My husband and I absolutely love taking our half black lab half boxer Chester to The Woods! The staff are incredibly friendly and take such a good care of him! We will always and forever give our business to The Woods! 💙

Mickey is the absolute best groomer in town! She always does a thorough job. Our fur babies, Scout and Peter, love her too. Don’t take my word for it, pictures say 1,000 words. Thank you Mickey!!!! ❤️ We love you! 🐾🐾

We have been customers of The Woods Canine Resort for many years now boarding our dachshund Buster for trips and also bringing him for daycare. We can not say enough about all the staff there! They take such great care of him and all the babies that stay with them. The facility is always clean and smells so fresh you wouldn't even know dogs were there! We love the fact they post pics of him and the other babies during playtime to their Facebook account daily. Such a special touch! I can honestly say that Buster will never go anywhere other than The Woods Resort and Spa!

Martin tips 2.50 delivery who pays for his own gas to drive 7 miles so I hope you don't leave him a good tip for taking care of your dogs and that was an excellent response for someone who feels like it's okay to exploit people every delivery driver for doordash is a 1099 contractor who pays taxes like a "actual" business so it's obvious you don't care about other people's business

We have been a customer of The Woods for almost 3 years. Bulleit has been going there since he was a puppy. He runs to the door every time we drop him off. The staff is amazing, they are very professional, and courteous. Bulleit loves all of them. Their facility is always clean and smells wonderful. We know our baby is in the best hands, and that he will be well treated. WE LOVE THE WOODS!!!!

I went on the tour they offer recently, and the windows of the facilities where they keep the dogs were! Smudged! So much so I could hardly see inside! The staff were nice and kind, but obviously these windows do not get the proper treatment they deserve!

I used to work here, and the bosses are wonderful, and I can assure you they will take excellent care with your fur babies. I recommend it fully, it’s as safe as Fort Knox as well.

The Woods Canine Resort and Spa is simply the best place to watch your pups while you're away. They'll have their own rooms to stay in (not kennels!) and everything was wonderfully clean and peaceful while we were there. The daily Facebook photos made our vacation that much better as we were able to see them while we were away!!!

The Woods Canine Resort was a complete answer to prayer. Our vacation was scheduled months ago before our name came up on the puppy adoption list. We had only had our shaded red long haired Dachshund puppy for a month before our trip, he was 3 months old when we dropped him off. He stayed there with his new big brother, an 8 year old smooth haired Dachshund. It was a perfect fit where the two of them could room together and continue bonding.They were very well taken care of, even above and beyond. The owners were very familiar with Dachshunds, parenting a few of their own. While there the owners noticed our 8 year old having some nerve issues and sent photos and videos of him to help us help him. He was our first Dachshund and we noticed him occasionally going slowly up and down the stairs at home but didn’t realize our fur baby was really struggling.The owners, from their own experiences, diagnosed our fur baby’s issues almost verbatim of what the vet said after his check up. They graciously took him to the vet, picked him back up and gave him his prescribed prescriptions. We are so thankful for these wonderful people who went above and beyond for our fur babies! You LOVE dogs and it shows! Thank you so very much from the bottom of our heart! ❤️The facilities are truly wonderful, created specifically to help your baby feel at home and loved. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to take good care of their fur babies!

I’m a helicopter dog mom through and through... so obviously I did ALOT of research before choosing The Woods for my Maggie. We have boarded her here 3 or 4 times at this point and each time has been stress free for us and Mags. She loves it! The owners are incredibly nice and so are all the girls that work here! Highly recommend this facility for all of your boarding needs in the COLA area!

BEST pet resort EVER!!! This isn't a kennel. Its a pet RESORT. NO cages. They have individual rooms for the doggies. All of the rooms have a TV showing animal planet. The staff is Fantastic! Awesome owners that really care about your pet. No extra charges for walks or medication. They post photos on Facebook of your dog while u are away. This place is so far above the rest!!! If we can't get a reservation here (and we haven't had that happen yet) we would just rearrange our travel plans. We will not leave our pup anywhere else!

The Woods is AMAZING!! I highly recommend boarding your dog here! Ever since we rescued our dog she has been super attached to me. I was so worried to board her anywhere, but then I found The Woods! She stayed there for 5 days. When I picked her up she looked so content and happy. I could tell the staff gave her a lot of attention because she went right up to the girl who was at the desk when she was in the lobby with me. When we were leaving, she hopped in our car and then immediately hopped back out, as if she wanted to stay longer!I love how the staff at The Woods lets your dog out to play in their beautiful fenced in yard every few hours. I was able to enjoy my vacation so much knowing that my dog was in such great hands and was getting so much attention!

I don't usually board my babies. I have a Toy poodle mix that is 15 years old with health issues that I really worry about leaving her with just anyone. The Woods was recommended to me by my Vet so I felt fairly comfortable using them. I can say I was completely, overjoyed with their service. When I dropped my babies off they immediately were on top of things making sure they got all meds instructions correct along with feeding instructions. They took time to make friends with Dottie and Ella Belle. I was taken back to the suite where they would be boarded. It was cozy and sound proof with calming music. Also, pictures were posted on Facebook 2 times a day of Dottie and Ella playing with the other dogs. This is the best boarding place in Lexington. I will always use The Woods. I highly recommend them

This is a great Pet Resort! Our dog Jack, a rambunctious Pit, LOVES to go to The Woods! We always get him the larger suite with attached outdoor run. Jack takes allergy medication and they always do well with keeping him on schedule. The rooms are so clean. The owners and staff are awesome. They post daily pics to Facebook so you can see your happy fur baby. You will love how they take care of your pup. Go by for a tour! You won't be sorry. ;)

My German was small and whiny as I needed to work my shift. I used woods til my puppy was almost 1 and he just adored the care he got. I wish that I still lived near Columbia sc ...it was greatest place for pets.

Our dog loves coming here. Fantastic people that truly care for your pet, I really can’t say enough good things about them. We have used other places in the past and nothing compares to the woods. It is well worth the price to know that your dog is being looked after properly especially while your trying to enjoy vacation.

We took our pack of three to the woods. I was honestly unsure what would happen. My pack is tight and my little dog thinks she is napoleon... my doggies met, greeted, played and had fun for 3 days straight. The pictures on the facebook sight showed me how much fun they were having and how well they were treated. The staff was helpful and friendly. This is the only place I will ever take my doggies to again

I’ve had Gypsy since she was 6 weeks old so she’s quite attached and has separation anxiety I boarded her at the woods twice now and the second time when she saw where we were she was so excited and ready to go she loves it there. I am a very overprotective dog parent but i feel I have no reason to worry when my baby is at the woods they are so nice and you can tell the care for these dogs as their own

Look no further...Simply the best place for dog boarding and grooming! Only place I will board my fur babies. Definitely more of a pet resort, than a boarding facility. Owners are great! They love your fur baby like it’s their own ❤️
