Very big inside, several large rooms in fact. Lots of neat touristy and gimmicky items that appear "Mexican" inspired. Pottery, t-shirts, ponchos, keychains, planters, jewelry, blankets, tapestries and a unique Christmas themed room. Most things seem reasonably priced for such a roadside attraction. I thought it was well worth the look. Took over an hour to really see it all.

This place certainly feels like three or four different stores combined into one gigantic building, and my guess is the former t-shirt store got moved in here.This place is BIG, and has everything from giant erasers, clothing, authentic Mexican pottery and crafts, a section filled with Christmas ornaments, coffee cups with your name on them, and even pizza ovens!

Very cool shop. Lots of random things you never knew you need or want. even if you don't buy anything, it's entertaining to walk around. I love statues inside.

Just so you know...there is a west shop and across the street is the east shop. I always stop at the west shop. Yes. South of the Border is still there. The billboards are not as numerous as before. I love this shop. They closed the tee-shirt shop and put them in this store. The ice cream shop is gone. Made a bigger parking lot. I bought jewelry and my favorite hot ginger ale 🍺 Blenheim. The price has gone up, but then again what hasn't. Great place to stretch and browse or buy sumptin, anything. Make sure to put SOB on your must see ot have to stop list. Buy souvenirs .

Prices were high on sumbro we came to get for birthday 35.00 for nice one the cheaper was 25.00 not as nice so we didn't get one they didn't have size of outfit son really wanted Elvis jumpsuit son big guy . So will try amazon

We stopped here on our way back to Florida, from Indiana. They have a lot of cool stuff here. Mostly Mexican stuff. The bathrooms are very clean and the service is friendly

Absolutely love this place. So many cool things. Has been a fsmily tradition to always stop here any time i travel down south. Will continue to stop here in the future as well.

If you're like us and enjoyed the dozens of billboards for Pedro's while driving south on I-95, you'll enjoy spending 15 minutes perusing this variety shop. They've got all sorts of things--the billboards did not lie. Take your picture with some animal statues. Try on some weird hats. If you need a stretch, this is a great place to get it while looking at absurd things.

South of the border is a roadside attraction of years gone by. It is pretty racist, dirty and pretty terrible. I will say I always stop here if driving through, though. Tip = best bathroom is in the fireworks shop!

Cute little stop. It’s definitely a tourist trap but it’s worth the stop. Women’s bathroom was clean, men’s bathroom not so clean.

We saw this place on our way to Carolina Beach and knew we had to stop on our way home. We were so glad we stopped and we encourage anyone who sees this place to do the same. You should read up on its history and it will give you a better appreciation for what it is. We got a huge kick out of how much stuff there was in this particular store and decided the next time we are passing through we will stop and stay the night to get the full experience.

Lots of cool stuff. Lots of cheap stuff though and sales are final, so be warned. Gigantic store though with massive selection. Lots of souvenirs from SC and colorful things. Nice little Christmas decorations. Cool area with decorative frogs and eguanas for indoor-outdoor areas. Hats galore, with small Halloween section.

Oh South Of The Border. Or SOB.How you don’t disappoint by disappointing.My wife had never stopped here. We went in to the Mexico Store. We walked through just so she could get a gist. If you haven’t had the pleasure one should just go through it just to do it.We didn’t go for the putt putt or any of the other things they offer.

My family and I have stopped here several times over the years, and spent more money than I can remember. This was our first time stopping here during the pandemic. The sign on the door says "NOTICE: FACE MASKS REQUIRED". We walk in wearing our masks. The employees were wearing their masks. But about 8 customers were not. Nobody enforces the rules here. We've lost people in the last year to Covid. And now we will never spend another dollar at any of the SotB establishments.
