Ice cream was good and they had a fair amount of selections to choose from. The employees were not very friendly and there wasn't anywhere to sit and eat your ice cream at. I know alot of people get it to go and eat it in the car but if I have time and the kids with me I would prefer not to so they don't get ice cream everywhere in the car. We did take our ice cream outside and take pictures with the animal statues that South of the Border is known for so that was fun.

Visited this ice cream shop in early May, 2019, taking a short stop while driving through. Loved the bright pink shoppe feel inside!So many flavor options, it took a while to make decisions! Hubby settled on a banana split with three different flavor scoops, topped with cherries, whip, and sprinkles for $5.95. I got a cup of three flavors myself - orange sherbet, pineapple sherbet, and rainbow vanilla - for $4.25. All three were delicious, with the citrus strong enough to leave my tongue tingling.We sat at a picnic table on the wrap-around porch outside to eat, enjoying the breeze through South Carolina's early summer heat, staying comfortably cool with the sweet ice cream treat. ☀️🌫️🍦

We did not eat any ice cream however I thought of still reviewing it since I was there at the south of the border place... the whole place is good to stop for kids and have a good time as they will really like it and enjoy compared to most of us...

Great little stop along the road. The whole place is most definitely a tourist trap but the ice cream was cheap, the place was clean and the kids had a good time. Manager Sandra went above and beyond trying to please my picky eaters.

Always a pleasure stopping here with the young one(s) in the car. A little stretching of the legs by shopping the gift stores. A little snack of ice cream. And the usual photo op in alongside the mega dog. Living the Dream, Again.

My son was happy, although ice cream usually is, wife was not due to no milk, I was not due to no coffee. Funny they sold milk across the road, idea send someone to get some...business is happy customers.

I cannot believe that someone could actually screw up ice cream. Three of us bought ice cream cones here and not one of us liked any of it. There was barely any flavor to this ice cream nor was it creamy. The waffle cones were crunchy but flavorless as well. The chocolate, birthday cake, butter pecan and black cherry were horrible. So much so that one cone was completely thrown away. Not worth the calories to finish it. If you want ice cream stay clear of this place. McDonalds has better ice cream and thats ice milk!

So they have coke float as an option but no coke. So I had to get Pepsi. Was still good. I really loved the ice cream but one small scoop and not even half a cup of Pepsi means i can't give it a full 5*. Women working were nice.

Whether you're heading north into North Carolina or just arriving south into South Carolina, Pedro's Ice Cream Fiesta awaits you at South of the Border.Double dip ice cream for my kids - an espresso for me. Ice cream was - according to my kids - great and priced competitively for a tourist trap. Espresso, on the other hand, was pretty watered down. Definitely not the espresso I've grown used to in South Florida.Servers were friendly and polite. Pedro's Ice Cream was clean - almost too clean - with a strong bleach smell. Ice cream was just OK. Customer service was extremely poor. They did have a line but that doesn't excuse ignoring us for 5 minutes after we made it to the front of the line.

Good variety and selections. I love sherbet and was able to get my favorite....Rainbow. Staff is helpful and polite. A nice way to stop, relax and use the rest rooms.

I really didn't want to have to write this, but the staff working was terrible. Me and my wife and my 16 month old son stopped in here on the way back from vermont. We don't usually eat ice cream, or other sugary foods.But, i thought this is the first family road trip over 2000 miles up and down the east coast, we'll go for it. We make our 2 orders, total is around 9.58 cents.I didn't realize that they have a 10$ credit card minimum.So there i am, standing with my card out and i say..Credit she says $10 minimum .I look at her in disbelief that over 40 cents,,, you're going to probably throw away the already made ice cream. Sure enough i wasn't told oh just add this or that, or no problem etc..Anything customer service related that would of made the situation right. I wasn't thinking either or i would of just added something random to get it over, so me and my family could have our ice cream.I just said well i only have the credit card...They reached out grabbed the ice cream and pulled it back.I said ok. And we walked out.. What the heck? I know the credit card minimum is against a lot of credit card agreements.I am going to check out and report them,

There is usually a line this time of the year. They get you in and out pretty quick. Kinda pricey for what you get. The ice cream is good.
