I have come here many time for groceries and have always walked away with the things I need. It is full of everything you could ever need, but does feel a little crowded.The staff is always pretty busy at the registers but they are so kind and friendly!

The only grocery store in Edisto Beach. Considering they have to try and please a lot of different people, who come and go on a daily or weekly vacation basis, they do ok. I would like to see some chicken necks for those of us who go blue crabbing. we had to drive about 10 miles to Piggly Wiggly to get them as they don't carry them at all, according to one employee. All things considered they do have a good variety and managers specials are a good deal.

As the previous reviews have said. Store is busy. But is well stocked and the staff is great. No matter how busy it is. They are quick. Thorough. Friendly and helpful.The prices are not terrible for being the only grocery store on the island.

All the remodeling is over. Shop till you drop. More registers. And if lines develop, I notice folks will open up new lanes.They are getting there. New owners. So they run out of things milk for one. Might not even be food lions fault. Folks are most helpful. Reward you for using your own bags. I think once they work, the bugs out. It will be great. 👍.... update. All is well. More folks working at busy times. Stock is full . Most folks know where things are located.Putting in new check out lanes. New coolers, storage. Moving things around. Kinda hard to do and keep the store open. I think they are doing some of the remodeling at night...

We had reservations and were seated immediately. Everyone was very nice. They were extremely busy due to one of their chefs had a family emergency and had to leave. Because our wait home was so long, we decided to get ours to go. They were very apologetic and we understood.

Very small, very crowded. Cashier had difficulty with English and didn't know the names of the veggies we bought. She tried charging me for 2 five pound bags of potatoes when we bought only 2 single potatoes. She had to call management because she didn't understand what we were saying. Moldy fruits for sale, dusty products. Only option on the island but they could do so much better.

Quaint little grocery store that is still very well packed with all the things that larger stores have. Much narrower aisles than your average grocery store, but still navigable. Glad it was there so a much longer trip want necessary. 😊

Used to live in NC. Vacationed on Edisto and this was the only grocery store. Wasn't a good store when I lived up there and hasn't improved.

Saturday afternoons are busy! Staff are helpful. For a tiny store it is well stocked. But just know it's a tight squeeze. No carts available when we were there.

Good place to get groceries. Future ideas for more grocery stores and employment. Very busy little food lion. Needs remodeling for a little extra room at the registers. They are very friendly staff then most Food lion stores. Might come back here.

Extensive line of products that you would expect from a grocery store. However isles are small and feel cramped due to management's efforts to provide most everything that vacationers could desire. It is the only full line food store on the island and is open early morning until late in the evening to serve all customers coming and going.

For a store on an island, it does have a decent array of items. I was warned it was smaller than the ones I’ve been to off island and would not have the selection I would expect. But I was happily surprised to find appropriate substitutes for my recipe that actually worked out better! So I’ll say it was a win. The staff was incredibly helpful with missing items and item location. Great experience. A few staff were as well versed as to what was available or where it could be located, but by the time I asked the next person - I was guided in the right direction.

We were misled by negative reviews and picked up a couple items at the dollar store that’s 40 minutes out. When we actually went to the Food Lion we were floored by how much stuff they had. They pack a amazing amount of groceries into a store that’s about 35-40 percent the size of a normal Food Lion. Staff was friendly and checkout was rapid during a very busy Sunday. 3/27/22 Update 03/17/23 store is well stocked , has a lot of depth on frozen meals. Staff is friendly and checkout was fast.

We LOVED going to Food Lion. They have some different items that we don't see in other place like apple jelly and apple butter. Their prices were great! We will definitely be going to different Food Lions as we find them during our travels.

I am a regular at Food Lion, because I live at Edisto Beach. The store is sufficient for most of my needs and the employees overall are very helpful and I believe do their best with the limited space and crowds during the busy season. My review is strictly for the already cooked Deli Hot Fried Chicken. DON'T BUY IT. DISCUSSED WITH STORE MANAGER. THE CHICKEN STARTS OUT BREADED FROZEN FRIED SHIPPED TO STORE THAT WAY, THEN REFIRED AGAIN, PLACED UNDER HEAT LAMPS. THE CHICKEN IS ALL CRUST AND WHAT LITTLE MEAT THERE US IS NOT MUCH. TOTALLY OVER COOKED TO EXTREME. THE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN IS GOOD. STAY STAY AWAY FROM THE DELI FRIED CHICKEN. I UNFORTUNATELY HAVE TRIED THE FRIED CHICKEN SEVERAL TIMES- NO MORE EVER. THEY NEED TO DO BETTER.

If you wanna find groceries in town, this is it! Everybody working there was friendly and looked happy! I like when you can tell people have a good work environment ☺️ Found pretty much everything I needed in off season.
