I've seen the sign for this Publix a lot, but had never actually been here. Located at least partly in a historic building, it's nestled back on a side street, and requires some geeing and hawing to find. I think it's actually the closest thing Columbia has to a Zabars from the standpoint of atmosphere. As a life long suburban/rural king of guy, I'm used to expansive grocery stores with wide aisles and big open spaces for produce, baked goods, etc. This one has fairly limited parking, narrow aisles, and a bit of a frenetic feel to it. That said, great grocery store.

Ordered 5 trays from this store for a birthday party. The veggie platter had old veggies. The cauliflower had black on it. The sandwich trays were all bread. The wing tray was cold and mushy. Fruit tray was so so but the best of all the pathetic trays. So disappointing. I will not be ordering from Publix ever again.

He y’all this Publix is not terrible. It is extremely crowded making it difficult to walk around without almost bumping I to people constantly. The parking lot is tight and can be dangerous so definitely be observant. That being said. They have a great selection, their call ahead orders are always ready on time, and everyone I have encounter here is really nice.

We just popped in to check out the seafood thinking in a city we would find more options. They in fact had far fewer options than the location in White Knoll. I can't speak about the rest or the store.

I placed an order on Wednesday 1/17/24 for pickup today 1/19/24. I got there around 2:00 p.m. The girls in the bakery had no type of good customer service. I politely told one girl that I was picking up a cake. I gave her my name because the order will have my name on it. She was acting as if I was dumb and didn’t order a cake. Then she said what’s on the cake and I told her. The other girl walked in the fridge. They exchanged words and I’m pretty sure they were talking me. They both walked out the fridge without a cake. The whole time the cake was on the rack. The girl got the cake in the box for me. I did not like the service today. Both girls or women made me feel unwelcomed. It’s like I was some stranger. I always order cakes from Publix without an issue. I’ll never order a cake from there again!!! Workers if y’all don’t want to work then stay home! Great customer service make a big difference. I was that close to not getting the cake, but I can’t let idiots make my day bad!!!

This Publix is a little different. You would need to go to appreciate the exterior of the establishment. They were very intentional about fitting in. The nice thing is, they didn’t change their service nor their ideals to just fit in. I stop here quite regularly when I need to pick a little something up quick, and I rarely, I don't think I ever have, leave disappointed.

I went in the late evening. I had easy parking. The cashiers are nice. The produce department does not greet customers. I spend a lot of time there because of the produce.

Worst Deli ever. Pre-order subs and they’re never ready even close to time. They never have any prepared foods ready. A busy location but doesn’t have the staff to handle it. Rosewood is a little out the way but worth the trip when dealing with Deli on Gervais

Do not go to the deli for a sub. Worst group of workers I've seen in a while. They were slow as molasses in winter! I waited 20 min for a sub I ordered online.They never made it. I cannot convey how slow they were. Terrible experience, will never be back. Maybe Publix should stay in florida. Pathetic

Of course you know when like public because they have a good deli and meat market this is the tightest little store I have ever been in downtown Columbia I have to go to the bigger one and the parking lot is tight oh my God you have to be extremely careful when you go to the store because it is a small store I love Publix store

Nice variety of interesting items, and the small butter rolls are good.Narrow aisles and not exactly the place I normally frequent other than the pharmacy, which elevates the experience I have to five stars.

Nice publix. I didnt know they had them so far north. Some guy stood behind my wife in line and tried to use an rfid skimmer on her perse in this store. She had her card in her hand so he didnt get to scan anything. When she noticed the guy she just faced him and he walked away quickly. Management needs to be villigent about these skimmer scammers.

The deli is always slow getting food out and others watch one person helping a whole line and they don't help them or greet anyone. With 3 people in front of me it should not take almost 20 mins to even get to place my order.

Clean store and a variety of quality items. They sell Rebel cream milk, which is low carbohydrate. That's a big plus as it's hard to find.

This is a very small version of normal sized Publix Markets. But everything was well stocked and there were lots of employees around for help. The cashier was friendly and fast. I found everything I needed and more.

I would give the store 5 stars but at certain times of the day, good luck finding a parking place in that small lot. I've literally drove around for twenty minutes before going to another location.

OK if you need a grocery store in the area, but otherwise, go somewhere else. It's always very crowded. They really need to offer small carts; the full-sized carts they have are way too large for most customers and just serve to clog the narrow aisles. And the parking lot is an accident waiting to happen.

Placed online deli order, the pickup time was 27 minutes from current time. I waited an additional 10 minutes and it was still not made. I paid for my other items and left.
