I’ll give 2 stars because the 2 gentlemen working in the store were very friendly & greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. The store itself gets 1 star because it was a mess. There are boxes blocking a lot of the aisles, making it hard/impossible to get to the next aisle. I left because it’s too frustrating trying to browse amid all the clutter.

I love Gabe’s. I first visited and heard about Gabe’s while I was in Tennessee. So I looked to see if there was Gabe’s near my house. I wish there was a Gabe’s closer to where I live in Moncks Corner, SC. Like in Charleston or North Charleston. Columbia is the closest Gabe’s to me. It’s very similar to Ollie’s Bargain outlet or TJmaxx. I love the large selection of clothing they have. They have some really good deals.

Very crowded aisles, hard to move through. Floors had a lot of trash and junk on them. Prices not any better than other regular priced stores.

This store is unreal I was blown away at all the brand name merchandise in this place, especially their shoes, you need some they have plenty.

My second time coming here. First time I bought shoes. This time I got several dresses. My only suggestion is to have the racks more precisely labeled. I almost missed out on the items I ended up with because they were in a vicinity of "Missy/Junior". I know now to peruse a rack no matter where it is.

I have been shopping at Gabes since it was named Rugged Warehouse. The Sumter one. I moved to Columbia so I started going to this one. Never had a problem until today. New employees who don't know the old customers. We came to return a dress with a receipt, just so happens my 71 year old mom did not have the tag, but the receipt. One of the cashiers with sister locs (wasn't acting like a sister) said "It don't look like it come from here"; like we stole it. Just wow!!! They don't know their merchandise. I will wait for the manager to call before I file a complaint with the BBB. Also, I will call the corporate office. I am an Educator and Saturdays are the only time I have off to handle business. We'll keep the dress it is just the principle of the whole situation. Black people have to treat each other better, why was it insinuated we stole it. WOW!!!

I really love this store because I never know what I may find. One shopping trip I found some great outfits, shoes and some cheap cleaning products. I did not spend an arm or a leg so to speak. Not only that, the associates are very friendly and I can use a coupon every now and then. I plan to move out of Columbia in a few weeks but when I do I will still ride to this location. Very impressed!

Carol & Brianna were 100% excellent. They helped and worked so hard with our huge 4 carts full. This us our 4th Gabes in less than a week. So happy to see this store within 4 hours of us. We hit 3 stores in Pennsylvania over the 4th weekend. Great great store.👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 5 thumbs upand 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 stars. We will be back.

Great employees but the clothes on the floor for females are all large . I never can find S’s or M’s . Scrubs especially! I don’t know if they go quick or they were never there .

Shopped here yesterday. Good selection, hood prices. The negative part was the restroom. Bathroom was disgusting! Extremely dirty. Top to bottom. It had toilet paper but no paper towels n no soap. Dispenser appeared broken in the open position. My daughter told an employee the bathroom was nasty n they shrugged n walked off. Toilet had dried up fecal n urine on seat. Inside bowl had dried fecalas well. Sink basin was filthy. Outside sink n toilet was cover in dirt (dust) Floor was very dirty as well.( Walked over to Mc Ds nice clean restrok.) This bathroom was like an old run down nasty old gas station bathroom. Disgusting. Wish I'd taken pics. I'm not even exaggerating. The rest of the store was in good cndtn. I would fail them on that bathroom alone though.

I just saw and learned about Gabes on last Sunday, July 18th 2021, the day before my birthday! My family and I were headed to Golden Corral , one of my favorite restaurants, on Forest Drive. I vowed to shop there on my Birthday, on Monday July 19th I did! I'm very pleased with the prices, and the variety of clothes items and other products. I intend to bring other family members, and perhaps a friend next time. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the public restroom is very filthy. I was hesitant to use the restroom, and wipe! I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad because that's not what authentic Christians do. I'm addicted to clean sanitized places, especially my home! I will still shop at Gabes, I was received with good hospitality!! PEACE!💪🏼🙏🏼

First time visiting. It was a Sunday. Staff was friendly. But the selection was next to nothing for little boys underwear, t-shirts and socks. So I then went to the shoe dept and that was worse. Picked over and nothing to choose from. But there was plenty of little girls shoes. The jewelry dept will probably be the only thing that bring me back.

My store is closing in Florence, SC. I am very disappointed. The Columbia, SC location is the nearest location to me now...which is about an hour away. It is worth the drive!!! I love to shop here and this store gives you a thrill of the hunt feeling! I find so many name brands here and all at unbelievably cheap prices!!!🙌🏻👍🏻😆

Gabe's always has any awesome variety to choose from I could honestly get lost there for hours..family clothing, toys shoes even household cleaning goods...friendly service is always a major plus for me too! Thanks Gabe's for have really awesome Customer Service and DEALS

Super friendly and helpful staff..I have been amazed at some of the designer pieces I've gotten here at rock bottom prices..My two best finds recently were a Rachel Zoe dress (395.00) for 9.99 - in perfect condition and a Nicole Miller cocktail dress also (395.00) for 9.99 - a clasp was broken but can easily be repaired..Ive also found great clothing and sneakers for my kids at unbeatable prices. This store is the bargain hunters dream. You may not find something every visit but the hunt is fun. Also they are constantly receiving new items and marking older items down even further and placing on special clearance racks..Moreover they have a great rewards program - for every 50.00 spent you recieve 5.00 off your next 25.00 purchase..If you like a deal this place is for you.

It’s sad when they have a sign posted on the bathroom do not flush brown paper towels down toilet! But they don’t have ANY toilet paper!!!! So my kiddos sitter with nothing so I was like well guess we are using brown paper.... oh wait none of that either!!!! Good thing my wipe keep baby wipes!! Will not be coming back!!! Awful!!!

Gabes is basically like a Ross or tj maxx. You can find some really good discounted name brand clothes. They also sale pantry snacks, household cleaning products and hygiene products. The store could definitely use an update because it’s very claustrophobic. I wish they had straight racks like Burlington for easier shopping.

While shopping at Gabe's the setting was the same as Rugged warehouse in Savannah. Great bargains!!! Ladies, shoes on sale from $3 to $10 dollars. Brought these stiletto's for 8.00 dollars the day of the concert and gave a standing novation most of the night!#withoutthedr.sol
