Really fun thrift store and we’ve spent a lot of money at this thrift store. However, there are incredibly rude employees almost every single time I go in, especially to my kids. Do not recommend.

If you haven’t been to the relocated Animal Helpers Retail store located at 1903 Savannah Hwy, Charleston you must go! They continue to have both high end and low end handbags, jewelry, shoes, clothing, televisions, etc but more of it and the quality of resale merchandise is very good. While you are there take a moment to say hello to store manager Lori (whose love for animals and people shows in everything she does), Marcus (whose wit will have you laughing from the minute you walk in until you leave) and the three ADORABLE “people greeters” Annie, Benne and Piper (all 3 rescue dogs and the sweetest you will ever meet!). So, if you haven’t been to ReTail or it’s been awhile since you were there you need to go by - great items, great staff/volunteers but, most importantly, the money from your purchase goes to Pet Helpers! It's a win-win for all!!!!

Went in on Tuesday to shop. Marcus, the clerk, was waiting on me and was adding and boxing up my purchase. Lori the manager walked up and got involved looking threw the box saying the total was not correct and acting like Marcus and I was doing something wrong. She began unpacking and re adding the items twice as if we were doing something wrong. The amounts came out the same as Marcus added them up to be. $42.00. Then she started questioning the price on the items as if we priced them. Other customers as well as my partner were staring as it was rude and unprofessional actions the manager took without any explanation or apology. I guess she does not want my business. So sad as I own a business in Charleston and know right from wrong when it comes to customer service.

Extremely sweet people running store. Prices are unbeatable. You can find all sorts of things from dog clothing to women's jewelry including Electronics prices are amazing. We will definitely be coming back.

Stopped in their new location on Savannah highway for the first time and my only regret is not stopping in sooner! This store is very well put together. I love the organization, the plants scattered throughout to make the space more airy, and items are very reasonably priced! I had fun wandering the aisles and can't wait to go back to see what goodies I can find.

Great high end thrift store that helps Pet Helpers.. Clean, friendly staff, well organized, great selection. Will donate my items to this non-profit organization to give back to Pet Helpers, Folly Rd. Shout out to Richard, Joann and "Piper". Fantastic selection of all kinds of household wares, books, clothing (no kids), and shoes. Surprised by the number of name band items, many with tags or clearly never worn. Fair prices, friendly staff, serves a great cause. Score!

I love this store, I can’t believe I hadn’t stopped in sooner. Their jewelry selection is stunning. I ended up leaving with an heirloom piece for an amazing price. I will be returning!

I love shopping here! I find the best prices, and some very nice items! I like how the proceeds go to helping animals. And the employees are wonderful!! I love my welcome from Marcus every time I go there.

Don’t go in there with your children. I have now been in there twice with my very respectful but curious ( as any child should be) children and both times we have been treated like a bull in a China shop. To the workers in their ,especially the old hag we had the pleasure of coming in contact with today: I hope you learn someday that customer service should extend to the entire party in your store. She was rude to my child oozing with child hating energy expecting my children to break things and act inappropriately when in fact they were respectfully looking for items to purchase. I guarantee if I was touching that item they way my child was I would not have been spoken to that way. I am also positive that acting put off by certain people being in your store is NOT good for business. Do they not expect that mothers want to shop too?? My children were within my reach the entire time! We dropped everything we were prepared to purchase and walked out. I’ll just stick to the more affordable thrift stores with more organized and clean arrangements from now on. There are plenty of ways to help out the animals without giving my business to a business masked behind the ruse of something good while treating customers in an entirely inappropriately manner!!!!

I visit a great many consignment and thrift stores across the country as well as shop Etsy, EBay , and other online businesses for those folks who enjoy DIY and/or vintage and antique treasure hunting.I was in this shop for the first time today and won’t go back. I found the prices extremely high for donated, sometimes dirty, and damaged items . I also found the store to be nasty and in disarray. No one greeted me, spoke with or offered assistance either. The pugs were cute.

It's a great cause, but a little too pricey. All thrift stores are becoming too expensive, losing the appeal. I would have spent an easy $100 on tons of items, if the items were priced as they should be for thrift shopping. But I'm not gonna spend $100 for just a few things. It's takes all the fun out of thrift site shopping. It also defeats the purpose of recycling and allowing people with a little less to spend having am affordable place to shop.

Not donated item pricing, dirty, disorganized. Great cause though. There was a coffee pot on the shelf that still had moisture in it. People were hanging out in the chairs for sale. Donated furniture was outside in the elements. Please read other reviews and consider them also.

This is a great little thrift store,you never know what you may find. The staff members are very helpful. The library has a nice variety,highly recommend and it has a great cause that benefits animals.

Friendly people, good bang for the buck. Prices are very reasonable, many items are just a dollar to 5 dollars. Greeting cards for example are a quarter! Yes you have to take some time, not everything is in perfect condition. But there are some real bargains here. China, books, DVD's and CD"s, clothes, framed pictures, all can be found in good or very good condition. There is also the knowledge that the money goes to help dogs and cats in need. It is a friendly place where people linger to chat sometimes. Both volunteers and shoppers. GO VISIT.

We visit Charleston every year for Christmas from NY. This is the first stop we make. The selection is excellent with fair prices. But most importantly is the fact that this shop raises money for animals in need. We always leave a donation even if not making a purchase. A great place.

Best thrift store in Charleston! Good quality items that are priced to move. Sales every month for certain sticker colors. Ran by volunteers and money earned goes to help animals!

We just adopted a dog from Charleston Animal Society and needed some items. This is where we found many items including brushes, harnesses, food bowls, etc. In addition, we got some new puzzles and utensils. Very friendly & courteous people.

Looks like they want the top price that item sells for on ebay. They had a turntable that was the same price as the most expensive on ebay. I mentioned this to the guy at the shop and hs response was it is for a good cause. Seems to be the trend now for thrift stores. I like to support thrift stores but they do get their stuff for free so I would expect them to be cheaper than ebay.
