Didn't have the ammo that I usually buy. I have a grandson shooting sporting Clay's in high school and they have strict qualifications on ammo. I was able to find some but with lower velocity / 1 Oz / 8 shot. Still satisfied, but only 1 register open, 5 customers in line. I will still give them a 5 star.

Waited a while outside waiting for curbside, I know a lot of business are short handed and need people so I wasn’t upset but was pressed for time so I went inside. Line was long for pickup but I still waited patiently, I saw someone about to go outside with the bag so I asked was it my order and got it from the young lady who was very nice and apologized for the wait. I get all the way home and I see a sensor on my husbands shoes I purchased for Father’s Day. Glad I looked in the bag, I love the Augusta location but will not be coming back here. Offered a 5.00 coupon on next purchase in store, no thanks. That’s why everyone is switching to online because it’s not worth the hassle anymore or gas!

Will never do business again. Went to return two boat batteries with receipt and core.recipet and even the batteries said to return and get a replacement and the manager in augusta said that they couldnt do it and have.no way to test them and so we went to the place in north Augusta of the interstate batteries and they told us that we need to go to academy sports in Aiken sc and they would do it. The manager in augusta was very mean and refused us and wouldnt do it. So I would never go back. She needs to be fired or someone talk to her. She treated us badly. And it was under warranty and the batteries were only 3 months old. And.we proved they were bad. Hope some one does something to this manager

Sensible discretion and lack of understanding of secondary English speaking Americans made for unfortunate firearms purchase experience. A family member who speaks English well, but still struggles with comprehension asked for help with one question on the ATF Form 4473 to ensure it was understood. The staff at the sales counter refused and said they needed to do it and would not help them with the question. The question answered incorrectly by mistake was 6l, about if they were an illegal alien. Clearly they were not, they had a USA passport, SS card, and state Drivers license. So clearly this was an honest error that can be “lined through” and initialed at a local small FFL without any issues. I called the corporate office and spoke to two unsympathetic corporate robots that could not be a good human decision and bring common sense to corporate policy. The back story is my family member finally found a firearm that they were able to manipulate with a minor hand injury. There was also a matter of safety to which the court approved an expedited pistol permit due to a perceived threat. This didn’t matter at all to inhuman Corporate Academy suits. Keep this in mind if English is not your primary language or if read comprehension is not your strongest. They will hide behind hind this border line discriminating policy that is NOT SUPPORTED BY FEDERAL LAW. staff either wittingly lied or ignorantly confused the law. Either case is shameful and the public should know.For the record Melissa W. Sr. Customer Care Team Member Academy Customer Care didn’t even address the customer issue. She opted just to regurgitate company policy, cite NICS and the FBI which is irrelevant to this situation since there was NO violation or question of federal law here. What a feckless lack of compassion.

Good selection of stuff, short on ammo but who isn't I did get a heads up from the guy as to when the truck comes in and apparently they're getting a lot.So that's a good sign that manufacturers are catching back up they didn't have the best pistol selection at the time at least not on display.really nice long guns though great place I love the environment and good prices Definitely can't wait to go back

Horrible! I’ve watched and listened real close to the way they do things in this store and it’s a very toxic environment. This place is the perfect example of Capitalism. Lots of micromanaging between 2 managers, employees who like to make customers feel uncomfortable asking for their number and seduce every male coworker they know, and lots and lots of gossip. Hours are also cut back horribly. Disgusting!

Never be back.Needed to buy a safe and pick it up the next day. Asked if I could pay for the safe as I didn’t have a truck to load it in at the moment, and then if I could come and pick it up the next day.No. God forbid that. Instead, I was forced to call my son, who just had major surgery, to come out and bring his truck. Customer service is non-existent these days.Then, to top it all off, the employees loading up the safe into my son’s truck, didn’t hold the dolly, so when the loaded the safe, the dolly came back and hit my wife in the head and arm/wrist.All of this because the store didn’t want to hold the safe for one, ONE day.Needless to say, I’ll never be back. Academy in Aiken has lost a customer today. Store manager and employees need to take some classes in customer service, because their expertise is lacking in that field.

I came here to get a cot for camping. It was right before closing. Like 20 mins. Not busy. The girls at the register were nice. They wished me a happy new year. Tho unfortunate that the product I was hunting for was not available. Oh well ❤️‍

I don't believe this store cares about customers. I called 3 times, waited about 3 minutes each time and the phone was never answered. 2 different agents from the online chat attempted to call them at least twice each and the phone was never answered. I'm about an hour away from this store and needed to verify item availability because I was there last week and they could not find either item even though it says online that they have 2 in stock. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
