There is no question that Woonsocket, R.I. is a very economically and culturally depressed area. Just take a look at the people walking outside in the streets. Very ghetto! Too many drug-abusers and homeless out there. Dollar General is a chain. The staff at this location are somewhat helpful and well-intentioned, but clearly don't have terrific customer service or people skills. Dollar General is practically a tin warehouse where you cannot get any cell service. This makes it very difficult if shopping as a Door Dasher or shopper for another gig app like Instacart. The entire city of Woonsocket is disgusting, rusty, poor, and neglected by the Rhode Island state government. It's a shame. This store is just a micorcosm of that failure in community investment and the breakdown and downgrading of civilization. It's sad to see in the world's supposedly richest country in the 21st century. Woonsocket is a grubby, grotesque blemish on the Northeastern United States. Dollar General is a business that attracts low-income families and individuals with little money, no jobs, and no work-ethic. Instead of lifting others up it brings society down. Just a store? No! It's an example of a community in decline. It's shameful and hurts the soul.

Great prices on Dollar General brand Clover Valley coffee 29.5 oz $5.95 and Clover Valley coffee creamer 35.3 oz $3.85. both taste great.

This is my secret dollar general place for toys and hot wheels cars i get so lucky finding the hot wheels cars that are hard to find and the all employee there are great but Shelly is very nice lady that i see the most and helps me when she can an always do I ask her if they bring new stock of hot wheels case box and she lets me know if they do or not very friendly. I love going to this store i stop by before work to see if they have new hot wheels lol sorry its my hobby .five stars place clean and full of stocked place

Yes the isles are rather tight but I expect this from a dollar store. I like that the snack cakes, and chips as well as the freezers are easy to fine and have most items that I get. Yes they have a little bit of everything including toaster which I needed to get.

This place has good prices and quality products. They have a wide range of items and some exclusive items. I'll pop in here once in a blue moon just to look around. The downside is that the store seems a bit cluttered and usually quite messy. Aisles tend to be narrow and crowded with items. The employees are wonderful people though! It's a bit messy but its still hygienic so it is okay.

Not the most fun store to visit because it's pretty ghetto. Everything's a mess and things on the shelves are all over the place. They also didn't have too much inventory. But they did have a couple of things that I wanted so they get four stars just for that.

Pretty good selection of diverse products! Prices are pretty reasonable also! Love their dollar section!! Clearance isn't to bad either I can find a gem or 2 in there! I usually spend at least $20 in this store easy! I usually like to stop I here when I'm in town

This is a great asset to our community right now. It's a smaller more intimate version of Walmart. You can't beat the prices for everyday household items. They also, provide a selection of household items to create a unique & cozy home to suit your style.

At first I thought it's similar to Dollar tree, but it's not. It's a local general store with decent range of products. It's is well stocked, clean and we'll maintained. There is a structured parking lot. Staff was nice and friendly. Good place for quick shoppers.

The staff is always pleasant and every time I need something that is not available somewhere else I can usually find it at this Dollar General. It is always well stocked.

Dollar General is GREAT! They have EVERYTHING! I mean everything! The employees are wonderful well all of my encounters with employees have been positive onez! My mother is usually with me and goes in also. She loves Dollar General, so much better than Family Dollar she says. Cleaner, more people friendly she says. Keep up the Good Work

Just started shopping in this store but up to now it's been good experience. Found everything I needed with no problem. And the lady there is so nice. She had a conversation with my 5 year old which a lot of places don't. They have a face and half.

Good store and got what we needed however when we left we saw a car with two unattended children inside. One around 5 years old another around 3 months. Called the police but they got there a few seconds late. This negligent parental behavior is unacceptable.

Store has good amount of product and very reasonable prices but tends to have aisles cluttered with stock boxes which makes it a difficult place for handicapped individuals to shop. Sincerely wish they would do a better job of keeping aisles clear.

Clean well stocked store ,plenty of parking. Only gave 4 star due to staff they look out of place none smiling ,woman superviser or mod was yelling at cashier both looked as they was not comfortable. Overall 4 store great staff could use some touch up

First time it was clean - organized & shelves were well stocked in a overlong time - Staff member asked if I had the app, due to what I purchased had digital coupons - she walked me through & I saved over $25 on my shopping trip - keep up the great work

Very friendly staff. Had most of the products I needed today, at really good prices. I am always grateful for Dollar General. Picked up some essentials, mainly health and beauty aids. Best price anywhere for ChapStick, Old Spice, and Pepsi products. Nothing fancy about the store, but I care more about selection and price than about store decor. There are three sizes of Dollar General stores: small footprint, regular footprint, and large store. This is a regular size store that offers food and beverages, HBA, pots and pans, holiday goodies and clothes. Highly recommend.

Love Dollar General Stores! Love The Seasonal & Bargain Isles & the toys & toiletries isle- good assortment of things in the store! I can always find something to buy here & they have a public restroom! Ask for the key at the register.

It's a decent place to pick up some basic things. Place is clean and in order. The lines can get long but only have one cashier can be a drag. I spent more time waiting in line than I did shopping for a few items in there.

Has everything you might need except fresh veggies. Horrible service. Lack of staffing. Lines are long, average time seems to me 20 minutesstackingg carts in the isles block access and are dangerous....I avoid this story bacouse it takes way too much time out of my life.

OMG! I was in the cart corral getting the last cart, backed up to get out without realizing this lovely worker of theirs, guy named Clinton, put a cart behind me in the corral! Never met ANYONE so rude in my entire life. Their cashiers are also nicer during the week. Who knows may a beer a manager, she was called as back up to help with the extremely long line.

Dont expect dollar store prices on premium products. This is on SOME items. Many things are actually MORE expensive than Price Rite or Stop n shop. For instance. 5$ for pantene shampoo vs 2.50-3$ elsewhere. Echoing others sentiments about how employees leave Uboats EVERYWHERE. What a mess.

First of all I needed a can of creamed corn for my shepherds pie so I went to CVS first and they only had regular corn for$2.29 a can. I didn't want it so I remembered dollar tree was right around the corner from CVS, so I went there and bought 2 cans of corn and a packet of gravy mix for $2.49. I was so happy I went there. Now I know where to go for a lot less money.
