Went in today to get a couple screws for my kitchen cabinets. I experienced some of the best customer service from a gentleman that works there. I wish I could remember his name. He helped me locate the screws quickly and even went to his car for a tool to help cut the screw down to get a better length for my needs. That’s customer service people! Going above and beyond when he easily could have just found the screws I was looking for and left it at that. He even showed me how to cut them down myself. This is one of the reasons you should choose this store over the one across the street.

I'm not sure how the inventory in this store is set up, but on several occasions I have needed specific items that are typically a pain to locate, and ace westerly has had the items I need in stock, pretty much check there first now. Great store I would rather give them the business over other places that might be right across the street

The products listed price at the displays is usually 20-30% less then what they charge at the register. When you ask why the listed price is cheaper the cashier becomes very rude. Has happened 3 separate times. Most items sold here can be found much cheaper at Home Depot, Job Lot, or Walmart without the attitude or shadyness.

i was painting a bench and had literally no clue what i was doing. the moment i walked over to the Helpful Hub, Mike greeted me and asked if there was anything he could help with/help me find something, etc. i explained what i was looking to do and he helped me find the all paint and materials i would need. he explained why some paints would work better than others in this instance and his recommendations were clear and useful. we went back and forth for about 10 minutes with bouncing ideas off one another and in the end, the advice he gave me was solid and practical. i was a little nervous because i had no idea what i was doing, but after Mike helped me, i felt much more confident and went into this project feeling capable and well-informed. 11/10

This is a smaller hardware store. Items are easy to find. I usually stop in after getting frustrated trying to find something at home depot. Prices are ok. The paint here is awesome!!! They have a pretty good key section too including vehicle keys. They were able to cut and program a newer key fob at a fraction of the cost of a dealership. The fastener section is great and its an old fashioned pick as many nuts, bolts, etc. as you need. My only gripe is some of the staff can be a little rude and or ignore you when you need help.

Went looking for a new lock for the dumpster at my job and I haven't been in since the renovations but I was pleasantly surprised at how everything came together. The locks were easy to find and the staff was super nice and informative with some of the questions I asked. It feels bigger but still holds the small town store feel.

I called McQuades after I had called around 4 different places for a small fuse for my generator with no luck. Two places told me to call them up. I was so happy to hear that they not only had it but that they could come out and take a look at my generator for me.Bruce came out that same afternoon and was able to figure out the problem and what was needed. He came back the next day and got it running. Great small hardware store! We were camping nearby and needed some improvising to fix a problem with a broken part. The young man helping us listened and then suggested a few ideas. They worked great! And we were quickly helped. Not the type of service from a giant box store. They are service with a ☺.

Their Craftsman tool replacement program is the worst. If they don’t have the exact same tool, then they can do nothing. Imagine a tool that was made 12 years ago, they have made so many improvements throughout the years, it’s highly unlikely you’re going to find the exact same tool anywhere. There goes Craftsman’s lifetime warranty. Why even bother buying Tools here. Go to Home Depot and get husky.

This store may be great but DON"T order anything online to be delivered!! Couldn't get a straight answer from customer service after 3 seperate phone calls amounting to over 3 hours on the phone, numerous emails back and forth with customer service simply to try to get a tracking number for the items I ordered. They told me to call the freight company myself to get the information! When I did it turned out the freight company had been trying to get in touch with Ace to find out my phone number so they could deliver as Ace had not put a phone number on the shipping documents when it is clearly on the order. Ace never returned the phone call to the freight company so if I hadn't called them the items would have been returned! This is on a $900 order but that didn't seem to matter to them. Their slogan of "Helpful is our Business - Caring is our Commitment" is obviously not taken literally by the company!!
