We are always so happy with the grooming we get for our Airedale at Plaid and Stripe. Our boy Whiskey is a very active and energetic pup yet the groomer must also be a part time dog whisper as she is always able to settle him down and do her thing. We will continue to utilize their grooming services and would recommend Plaid and Stripe to anyone looking for a dependable spot!

I LOVE the store part!!! Such cute stuff and the owner is super nice. The grooming was more of a one star experience. I feel bad posting a bad review because it could very well have just been an off day, but I wish I’d read a review like this and gone somewhere else.We have had our dog groomed at a few different places and this was by far the worst cut ever. He hadn’t been groomed in over a month and his hair grows very fast (poodle mix) so he was looking somewhat crazy. We expected a pretty big transformation since it had been so long between grooming, but when we picked him up he actually looked worse. His legs and body looked exactly the same length as when we dropped him off but blow dried, and his face was all chopped up and jagged looking (mostly on one side). Very bizarre. We ended up just having to shave him when we got home because he was still SO long. We tried to clean up his face a bit, too but we’ll just have to wait a few weeks and have another groomer fix it.His nails and feet looked very good but that’s about it. Also the groomer stresses him out in general and we’ve never had to leave him there for more than an hour. This was estimated to take 3 hours and ended up taking 2 which is still way longer than we’re used to, especially for seemingly very little to happen.

We’ve been going here since our dog Cooper was a puppy. He is almost seven years old now. We’ve always been happy with his grooming, and the staff really love him. Laurie the owner is a true pet lover, and it’s always nice to be greeted by her beautiful Corgi when we stop by.

Terrible service! Took two mini labradoodles there for grooming. They didn’t know how to handle an anxious dog, cut his nails too short that they were bleeding which made him more agitated then they claimed that he was difficult to handle. They supposedly had finished grooming the other dog, but then when we took him home we found he still had matted hair all over his ears and under the jaws. Not going back and definitely do not recommend them to anyone.

This is a mixed review: 5 stars for the groomer and 1 for the owner. The groomer did a nice job on my border Collie - a short haircut, which is just what I asked for when I called to make the appointment. The owner was rude and unprofessional and my "couple hour" appointment was exactly 4 and a half. When scheduling the appointment, I spoke with the owner on phone and mention I wanted my elderly dog shorn quite short. I know this is unusual for Border Collies, but I know my dog and his medical conditions and what makes him most comfortable. I was booked for noon. When we arrived ( a few minutes early since I was a new client), we (owner and I) had another discussion about what my dog was going to have done that day, as though the one on the phone had never taken place. She reluctantly told me if he was going to be cut that short, it would be a couple hours and she'd text me. When two hours had passed, I decided to wait in front of the shop thinking it wouldn't be that long. Wrong. 45 more minutes elapsed and I decided to pop my head in to get some idea of how much longer. I hear a very annoyed voice call out " I didn't text you yet!". I then inquired how much longer and was told another hour. I went back to my car and watched two more people come in and pick up their groomed pet. Finally, at 4:30, my dog was done, more than 4.5 hours after I dropped him off. She gave me some sort of story about him laying down so the couldn't get to his underside, but he is groomed regularly and no one has ever mentioned this. Why was I given a 12:00 time slot when he was obviously booked along with several other dogs and done last? Why not give a more realistic pick up time so I could have better planned my day? Why ask questions at time of booking and then never reference the notes? Extremely frustrating experience for me and not a great one for a terminally ill dog.

Before COVID I only brought my shihtzu Marley here and he had been coming here regularly since I got him 2 years prior. Over the summer I ended up having to find a new groomer due to the fact that they were so behind on appointments and couldn’t get my pup in for at least 2 months (he was already 3 months behind on a grooming so this was urgent). I would have given this place 5 stars before, however, after bringing Marley to his new groomer (whom I will continue to use from now on) I realize I was being ripped off on his cuts and that a grooming should only take 1.5-2 hrs tops. Also, questioning if they really ever cut his nails or just “filed them” considering I saw a huge difference at his new groomer...

My dog Norman is treated so well by the staff at Plaid and Stripe. I get his nails clipped there and the groomer does a fantastic job. Next step for my water-petrified dog is to be groomed. These are people who know and love dogs. Excellent merch too. Holistic treats and lovely collars, jackets and beds.

We had our two dogs (Morkies) groomed last week. I called the morning of and was able to get an appointment right away. The dogs were really matted and the groomer did an amazing job. Both dogs look great!

Re: GroomingI just picked up by two 20 lb bichons from Plaid and Stripe. They were to have been completely shaved down. While driving back, I noticed that one dog's tail was not shaved, the outer fold of one dog's ear was caked in blood ( this looked like clean cut so I do not think it was scratched by the dog), and one dog's ears were not plucked.I clearly and specifically asked the ears to be plucked and the dogs ( head, body, tail) to be comp-letely shaved down.I sent pictures of the above and called Laurie, the owner, immediately. She was apologetic but defended Lindsay, the groomer. The essence of the conversation was that no one else has complained and that maybe Lindsay should not be grooming Bichons.Regarding the tail and the non-plucked ears, Laurie could not offer any explanationThis is the second, and last chance, I have given to Lindsay to groom my dogs.

Robin's store is great. If you want great pet products, mostly for dogs, stop by. He caries holistic dry food which is great! Some other users had issues with his two dogs but I feel that is an isolated incident.
