5 stars is NOT ENOUGH!! Athena has been coming here since she was 8wks old, she's over a year! The staff is fantastic and she's always excited to see them. Roland, the manager, has done an amazing job with his team. They give recommendations based on what your dogs specific needs are. My girl went thru an allergy stage and the team helped us find food that had zero traces of chicken in it. Athena loves seeing her people, Roland and Bella! She loves them all but THOSE are her favorites. We have since moved but we will always go there for our girl.

Last Saturday I needed to take my new puppy for a bath and had the most wonderful experience with your staff at the cumberland location. The self service area was full so while we waited we had plenty of time to look around and speak with the staff. Roland was extremely helpful and patient with me as I asked him one million questions about tips on training. They were so gentle with Luna, who loved all of the attention, and even seemed to know a lot of the other dogs/owners who were visiting the store. It was such a great way to spend my afternoon and I will certainly be back again soon!!

Albert is great! Super knowledgeable, he spent like 45 min talking to us and giving us advice for our newly adopted cat. He was very personable and overall it was a great experience!

Always available cleaning stalls, staff very helpful which is better than their South Attleboro store staff.Update Dec 2023 I CANNOT believe they went up more than 30% to use the dog walking stations. I don't know what went up by 30% what justifies going up 30% other than greed.

I recently got a new puppy and wanted to feed him a good diet! Every question and concern was addressed in a way I understood! It doesn’t matter who happens to be there to help EVERYONE is educated on the products, extremely helpful all while giving exceptional customer service! Very happy coming here for all of my puppy’s needs!!

My son and I were so happy to stumble upon this place while we were in the plaza. The 2 men that were working were super helpful and friendly and even gave us a new adoption kit! I’d rather support small businesses than big box stores and Amazon, so this is a perfect place to pick up new treats and food. They have a huge selection and even a place to give your pup a bath. Forever customer.

Rumford Pet Center is the best! The staff are wonderful. They are helpful, thoughtful and most importantly love cats and dogs!! Many options for healthy food and treats along with toys! I am thankful they are in Cumberland!

The people working here/running this store are phenomenal. I visited for the first time yesterday, I have frequented the Attleboro location and have had a tough time asking questions/asking for help at the other location due to them not being in the front/talking in back with other staff members/management. The gentleman that was there yesterday was wonderful though! He was tuned into my dogs reactions/signs that she was very nervous.. She is an excellent dog all around but was very skittish. She is a cadaver dog in training, a lot of her reactions are smell related and she is very sensitive especially in public places currently.. He was very attentive to our needs and worked with her nice and slowly and gained her trust. An awesome selection at the store of food, treats, and toys. Thank you all!

They were super helpful. Ethan at the Cumberland store took me around and helppled me pick out all my puppy supplies. He also recommended the Adopt A Dog Program. That is so amazing that @rumfordpetexpress provides that to new pup owners! I'll definitely be back! Thank you!!

My dog and I had a wonderful experience at Rumford Pet Cumberland. He hates bathing but did really well. It’s a well designed area and my large dog fit in nicely. The staff was helpful all throughout. They provide everything you need.

This is hands down the best location of Rumford! The owner/manager and entire staff are all incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. We love this Rumford and highly recommend it for all of your pets needs

I rescued a dog yesterday from Cumberland, RI and went to Rumford Pet Express to get some needed supplies. I wish this store was not an hour away from where I live. We were welcomed warmly and the folks that work there came to our rescue. Roland was so kind to my timid rescue and instantly made her comfortable and helped me get what I needed that was best for Sadie. If all stores had such great staff and great inventory, shopping would be something to look forward to. Thank you for being so great. You are much appreciated. Thanks Roland! :-)

I always love taking my hound here for a bath after her hikes. The staff is very friendly and always offers me the best shampoo and conditioner for a smellier dog because when we arrive, she is usually covered in pond scum. I like that I can give her her own bath and use the blow dryer because when she goes to the groomers she hates the dryer and at Petco for $37, they have to leave completely dry so this $12 bath will do! There are even brushes and tasty cookies for her to munch on while I'm tormenting her and she begrudgingly accepts them.

One of our favorite places to take our dog! He loves going once a week for his beef marrow bones, I love that you guys keep them in stock because this is the only place we have been able to consistently find them. Appreciate all the nice staff who always make my big German Shepard always feel welcomed and loved!

I have been to this store a few times and always thought it was overpriced, but I continued to shop here every so often because I like to support smaller businesses instead of buying everything on Amazon or other chain stores all the time. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with their customer service today and I will not shop here again. I bought a toy for my puppy (a Kong rubber frisbee that cost $12.99). Within 5 minutes of us playing with this toy together, the left side of the frisbee ripped. I was really annoyed because it was expensive for what it was and it stated that it was durable on the front and back of the packaging. I went to the store today (3 days after I bought it) to return it with the original packaging and receipt. The man working at the store (I'm thinking he was a supervisor or manager because he proceeded to speak to me instead of the woman at the register) told me that based on my puppies age she probably had her adult teeth in and shouldn't be playing with that toy unattended. He made an assumption she was unattended first of all and no where on the packaging does it give an age limit for the puppy. He was not accommodating in any way or even apologetic. He just stated he couldn't return it and was actually kind of defensive right from the start. I went to Kongs website when I got home and they have a 60 day guarantee as long as you send a photo of the product and receipt. Even if he couldn't return the toy, he could have offered store credit, a discount or at least suggested I contact Kong and gave me that info, but he didn't offer anything. I buy a lot of pet supplies for my 2 dogs, cat and various mother cats and kittens I foster, but I won't be shopping here anymore. Very disappointing experience.

Highly recommend Rumford Pet Express in Cumberland. Staff is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about merchandise. All employees clearly appear to be animal lovers. Always a pleasure to stop in for my dog supplies!!

Tons of supplies, no live animals per rhode island legislationWas looking for animals but they even were willing to point us in the right direction to aquire like animals for purchase instead of adopting a cat or dog ( some animals aren't for everyone, nothing against adopting pets just not an ideal time for a free roaming animal)
