The hosts John and Shannon made me feel like family but not only that they provided me important messages from God that I truly needed to hear. Some of God’s true ambassadors John and Shannon are. We stay here during snowmobile season. We had one of our sleds breakdown on us and we were kind of stuck. John & Shannon to the rescue. John jumped in the car and gave us a very critical ride back to the motel to grab our truck and trailer. Very thoughtful people and it will be the place we always stay when up in the area. The owners couldn't be nicer! They bent over backwards to ensure that we had a wonderful visit. I give them my HIGHEST recommendation. There's a pond, with pedal boats, a playground for the kids, an available grill, they even keep a ton of rags out front we used to write l wipe out cycles down!Nested inside of a mountain range, your surrounded with a stunning view.Nearby activities: Located near the Pine Creek Gorge, a must visitFood & drinks: Breakfast made in house, and was delicious

Paid for breakfast even though it was supposed to be complimentary.Food & drinks: Very satisfying breakfast... Was supposed to be complimentary... I however didn't mind paying the price.

I needed a place to stay during a race weekend. The Colton Point motel was reccomended to me and I will certainly reccomend it to anyone looking for a clean, quiet and friendly place to stay near Wellsboro and the PA grand canyon! The staff were so incredibly kind and helpfu and went above and beyond to ensure myself and my friend were comfortable. The motel is on a beautiful and peaceful property that Is well cared for. Rooms were clean and had all the necessities. Breakfast in the am on the weekends was a nice treat as well. All in all, I hughly reccomend the Colton Point Motel to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in one of Pennsylvanias best kept secrets for a lover of the outdoors! I will certainly be back.

I just returned home from a 6 night stay at the Colton Point Motel in Ansonia PA just outside of Wellsboro PA and only a couple of miles from the Pine Gorge area. This is the second time I've stayed here. The couple that owns this place does a great job of making you feel at home and providing clean, quiet rooms on a very nicely maintained property in a rural area. Every time I go back to visit the area I will stay there because it's just such a nice place.Rooms: Very clean and simply decorated. It feels like home.Nearby activities: Can't say enough about the Wellsboro area and Pennsylvania's grand canyon. It's a very beautiful place to visit and I wouldn't mind living there either!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Colton Point. We called at the last minute and were able to book a very reasonably priced pet friendly room (they have four of those). If you are looking for a super fancy room, you will not find that here, but what you will find are very reasonably priced, simple and clean accomodations, as well as the most friendly and helpful owners you can imagine. It is clear that they have put their hearts and souls into this place, and the pond (our dog took a little dip), small sandy beach, fishing poles, paddle boats, kayak, fire pits and spacious outdoor areas with lots of seating and benches are just wonderful. On weekends, they have home-cooked, delicious breakfasts for purchase, which was a real plus as this is a remote area. We were not able to access internet and there was no cell service, but that was not too much of a problem as we were only there one night. The bottom line is that this is a great place, very much in keeping with the beautiful area of the Pennsylania Grand Canyon and a good choice for hanging your hat after a day in the outdoors.

I cannot say enough about this motel. So clean. Spacious. Family friendly. Pet friendly. And has a stocked fishing pond for kids. Reasonable rates and offers breakfast. Owners are super nice, very kind. We needed a place with no reservation, that had room for two adults and two kids, two dogs and needed it fast after a problem with our camp. We were turned away by several other motels for not having a reservation but were welcomed here. I highly recommend this motel if you are staying anywhere in the area.

Very quaint motel in the quiet of the country, set on a beautiful property with a lovely lake in back. As you enter, the office is combined with a quaint & neat dining room which is also available for dining even if not staying in a room. For your convenience, a 30-minute heads up for just a meal would be good, as it is very rural and they sometimes are not as busy as others.The owners are very friendly.

When we arrived at Colton Point Motel I was instantly in love with this cute, inviting, warm, friendly place.No complaints with the room and the hospitality was above and beyond!Breakfast in the dining room was sooo good and the coffee was the best I'd had in the U.S. Everything about this Motel was enticing and I did not want to leave however we live in Australia so perhaps we shall find ourselves visiting this gem of a place again some day.Outside is a beautiful little lake and the surrounding area is so picturesque.If I could choose where to have our anniversary it would definitely be here!

We had a great stay at the Colton Point Motel! John and his family know exactly how to make you feel right at home. They also have lots to do in the backyard including pond fishing and fire pits. Well priced breakfast and coffee in the morning to top it off.

Stayed here while traveling from Northern PA to Gettysburg. Wish I would have stayed more than 1 night. The property is beautiful. There are fire pits, table and chairs next to the pond and a paddle boat for guests to use to cruise around the pond. There’s also a small beach with water access but I did not go into it as the weather was chilly. In the morning you can go into the office and have a homemade breakfast prepared for you for a very good price. The motel is older but the room had a mini fridge and large tv. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The owners are very gracious and gave me a lot of information on things to do in the area and directed me to a wonderful ice cream shop in Wellsboro.I will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

We have been going there for over 20 years.The new owner,s are very nice and accomadating also make a wonderful breakfast for reasonable price.The ground,s are very well keeped and the view is beautiful.I have recomended it to all of my family and friend,s.We will be back again in July.

My Sweetheart and I had a wonderful weekend experience at the Colton Point Motel. As several people have already pointed out it was like staying with family members. Affordable and comfortable with delicious, modestly priced breakfast in their clean dining room.Conveniently located a mile and a half from the Wellsboro/Jersey Shore Rail Trail too.
