Gays is the place with the helpful hardware man. .. The staff is friendly and ready to assist. But, it's not the old store. I would look forward to coming to Tunkhannock specifically to walk around Gay's. Now it's really no different than going to a Home Depot. Get your item and go. Gay's always had that home spun atmosphere. A place where you find an odd item you never planned on buying, but you bought it because it was different.Maybe I'm just melancholy. They were the last store that made you feel like you were in Mayberry. I will continue to shop there, they have a great staff, I just miss the old store feel.

Small town business with friendly employees. Any questions or help I've needed, they've had great information and were quick to help. When there was an item I wanted not in stock, the next time I was in there were more in just as they assured me there would be. I choose here over other retail stores often

In addition to hardware and home goods supplies, Gay's True Value has the best selection of quality children's toys and activities that I've found outside of a "big box" store in northeast PA. I've often shopped here for gifts for ages infant through 6, and there are great options at affordable prices. Also, their customer service is attentive but not intrusive, which speaks to the genuine care they have for their customers. A great place to shop for basic needs or gift occasions.

Kind courteous helpful friendly very willing to help you. Public restroom available. They sell some snacks including ice cream. I have never had a problem until the management refused to honor my request for a return. I will never ever return there again. Dana's is right across the street and I will frequent there hardware store before I ever ever go to gays True Value Hardware Store. A very very disheartening experience for me after all those years of frequenting their establishment.Very sad they cannot understand a customer's request. took my lawn tiller rewind coil in to rewind it and they say they lost the part. and now i have to buy a new engine. and btw, i had to buy a new engine as Gay's would not make the repair right.Very very sad, I could never frequent your business ever again.

Absolutely love this store. I love that no matter what odd little part or item you might happen to need, they are the one store in Wying County that seems to have it.They have great customer service. They even accept UPS drop offs!

Great place for almost everything. I hang out in the gun shop frequently just to shoot the breeze after getting the hardware, paint, plumbing supplies, etc. that I need. And I buy all my guns and shooting equipment there too.

I love Gay's . I miss the older one . But this one seems bigger and lots of room you can walk around. I recommend this to people it needs to bring their flowers out to sell like they did at the other place

I haven't been in Tunkhannock in many years but on a recent visit as ALWAYS. They have what you need. Great people, great service crazy how they have everything you need. Nice job guys!

I waited on hold for 15 minutes and then was told that the parts department didn't have anybody available to take my call that they were too busy. you mean to tell me that they don't have anybody in their parts department that can multi task and check a part number for a customer on the phone before they take a half hour trip to see if they have it. Never again!
