See these are the places that need our support. Canfields has been at this location for well over a hundred years, and through generations has see this area change, but yet it's still around because they are needed. I went in for some grass seed ( I was told it's the best), and this wasn't like talking to a big box store employees, this was talking to a man that knows what grows in this region. They know it so much so, that they mix their own variety of seed. That goes to show that their will be no replacement for these small mom and pop stores. Big box stores can't compete with Canfield's knowledge do to more than a century of doing business. Pass by to see a piece of history and welcoming proprietors. BTW they have an assortment of pet items.

I stopped in here during spring looking for a very specific potting soil that I wanted because none of the big box stores down 611 had it and Canfield's had it! Now I don't bother going down 611 before checking Canfield's first; 9 times out of 10 they have exactly what I need. A huge variety of birdseed and suets as well, and the employees here are always so friendly.

Great place I love supporting local businesses they will have all your needs or order it special for you, the experience can answer most questions and if not I'm sure they know a guy. Good supply for deicing salt and the calcium flake is in my opinion better than what you'd get at home depot or lowes I wish I checked to see if they have coal but I'm certain to a degree though I'm mostly assuming they do have wood pellets, great outdoors stuff like animal rocks and suet check this place out!

The store is like a dream come true for a gardener, farmer, or a pet owner, and bird lovers! They a very wide assortment of items for dogs, cats, wild birds, humming birds, and wild animals (like salt licks and feed blocks), plus a great variety of grains and food for horses, cows, chickens, and more! Lots of farm tools you cannot find anywhere else! If you do not see it just ask. They have a full basement and several large storage buildings full of merchandise! These are real farmers working here full of helpful information to make your property perfect! These guys can load four sixty pound bags into your truck at one time with no problems! Just amazing!
