Spend the weekend in PA with friends and on the way home my wife was craving seafood and the lady in the antique store recommended Alaska Pete's. We loved it! The restaurant is so spacious. Plenty of seating. The outdoor space especially. The service was so friendly and helpful. The bartender Vonya was so sweet, she made our drinks and took our order and brought our food. Excellent service. We started with some delicious drinks and then got a blooming onion, fish and chips and the roasted duck. Everything was delicious. Would love to come back with our friends.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! It's definitely a great place to go. SO, we were back a SECOND TIME! and they didn't disappoint. Apps were awesome. Hubs had hot wings. I had the pretzels. Yummy šŸ˜‹ Ruben Sandwich was delightful. The portions they give you are huge. Take home bags come in handy. The staff is amazing as well, right there very attentive. Can't wait to go back again.

Service was fast even though we went on a busy Saturday night. We chose a table outside and enjoyed the live music. Food was great and well worth the price. My stuffed flounder was delicious. And the French onion soup was also some of the best I've ever had!Dietary restrictions: I was able to swap a different veggie instead of the potato option so that was nice since I'm diabetic and I have to watch my carbs.

This is the 2nd time I went to this place. I took my mother to this place for her Mother's Day. She loves this place. We had Blue Alaska Drinks, it's very delicious, for us ladies! It's not bitter or strong. It's a very well-balanced mix drink. My mother had Stuffed Flounder and I had Crab Cakes. My mother said that the stuffed flounder was really good. I am a seafood and steak lover. This crab cake is pretty good but not the best. It is still worth it to come back to this place again.

First-time visit. Nice atmosphere with dining indoor and out. Friendly and attentive staff. So I was expecting the same level of standard for food. For appetizers, we had the coconut shrimp which were too burnt for me and the Philly Cheesestake spring rolls. The mustard sauce was a little too tangy for my taste. I had the baked salmon with rice and macaroni and cheese, and mango banana margarita. The salmon could have used a few more moments in the oven, mac and cheese was like KFC's, just yellow noodles and the margarita needed a nip. Husband had chicken and ribs but was not expecting shredded chicken but he liked the mashed potatoes.

Let's do it. The place is nicely decorated. Good music, Mary Ellen, our server was awesome. Apps had calamari and broccoli bites. For lunch, I had the Captains Platter with a Crab Cake. My bestie had the Stuffed Shrimp with a side Lobster Tail. The food was cooked to perfection but lacked flavor. The yellow rice was mushy she was nice enough to give me a baked potatoe instead. the green beans were not seasoned. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. My friend didn't like the stuffing in shrimp nor the mash potatoes. I would go back. I would just try something different. Can't win them all.

Disappointing. We were excited to visit as the reviews were good and it looked great from the outside. Outside seating was plentiful and looked great, fires, outside bar, lots of seating. It was a bit chilly so we sat inside. It was ok inside too.Waitress was good and the staff was nice.Appetizers were decent. The wings were good. Corn fritters were decent but seemed like they were just frozen ones. The lobster bisque was very thin and had absolutely no lobster in it.Dinner was the big disappointment. My husband had a burger, it was super thin, way over cooked (asked for medium rare but guessing by the thinness of it well done is all they can do) fries were just ok. I had a pork chop, it looked so good. Served with a baked potato, veggies and apple sauce. The chop was a nice size. It was way overcooked. Dry and chewy. I think it could have been really good if it was cooked less. It did have a good flavor. Sides were good. Not sure if our meal sat in the kitchen for a while before being brought out and that was the problem or just way over cooked but either way it was very disappointing.Oh and did I mention they only serve bottled water no tap water.

we hosted a large party of 21 guests. some guests reported they had some problems with their food. the guest of honor told me her chicken dish was inedible. I had the veal parm and found it to be OK. However, the accompanied pasta was very overcooked and mushy. very surprised bread, and a small salad was not offered with these entries at $25 each. I also had a bowl of chili as an appetizer and found it to be very bland and was only warm nit hot. A small cup of soda filled with ice was $3.50 each with No Refills so we spent about $80 just on about 4 liters of soda. other people in our party were drinking beer and mixed drinks and I'm not sure of the cost of these. service was slow but not the waitresses fault as they pulled the 2nd waitress from our tables. the waitresses was professional and did the best she could. tip was about $180, and I hope she got the majority of that since they pulled the second waitress. there were a few kids in our party that were unruly and having manic moments, and I do apologize for any disruption they may have caused.

Made this a stop on some business in Stroudsburg and I do not regret it. The atmosphere was comfortable and laid back. The service was on point. My wife enjoyed her mixed drink, which was done to her liking and the Grilled Chicken Ceasar Wrap. I ordered the Chicken Cheesesteak and did not regret. I can honestly say I would make a stop here again when in the area.

Was in town for the weekend. Based on mixed reviews my family of 6 stoped there for dinner. Busy parking lot but not bad inside. Was seated right away. Took a good bit of time to get a waitress to come to us. Ordered drinks, apps and had to ask for kids menus. Then waited about 10 min to get the kids menus after asking for them again and then finally took our order. Got the brisket nachos and blummin onion. Onion was good. Nachos were not good. Chips you pour out of a bag with a minuscule amount of brisket and cheese. Older kids liked the brisket sandwich and cheesesteak. Craft Mac from kids menu. Fried wings were good but don’t come sauced so we asked for sauce to dip. Generic sauces. Me and my husband split the $40 BBQ platter. Not worth the money. It was rather small. Got Mac and Cheese and fries as sides. Fries were good! Mac and cheese was awful. No flavor at all. Was told after drinking our beverages (sodas and lemonade) that they are NOT free refills. Sodas were $3.75 a piece. After 30 min we finally got our food. We said finally. The waitress said ā€œoh that was quick for a Saturday.ā€ Spent over $225. Will not be back.

We came here on a Friday evening. It was very empty, which should have been a clue of how the food would be. They have a great outdoor area, so maybe if you're coming for just wings and beer it would be a nice place to go. But I wouldn't recommend it for dinner. We were seated as soon as we went in, in the back dining area. We ordered drinks and Calamari as our app. The drinks came quickly, and they were ok. Very strong. You couldn't taste any of the flavors they were supposed to be, you just tasted alcohol. We only had one each. The Calamari came quickly. Although it really was cooked well, the breading flavor overpowered the calamari. But at least the calamari was tender.Bread was served. It was very generous for just 2 people. The bread tasted fresh, and it was hot. Then our entrees came. My Fish n Chips came without chips. I pointed this out and the server quickly went to get some fries. Again, the fish was cooked well. Tender and flakey, but again, the breading seasoning over powered the fish. I took the breading off to eat it. It was good, but not "Fish n Chips".My partner ordered Meatballs, sausage and pasta. They were out of linguini and subbed fettuccini (after asking if it was ok). There was one large meatball, which my partner said was very dense. The sausage was ok, and the pasta was overcooked. The bill was about average.. just under $80 for the two of us before tip.The service was very good, we tip according to service (25% in this case)We live in the area but it was the first time we had tried Alaska Pete's. We most likely will not be back again.REPLY TO ALASKA PETE'S RESPONSE:I'm sorry it's not the score you expected. I will break it down the way we saw it.The Calamari: The batter was not good, unfortunately making the tender calamari taste bad. The batter is not something that can be sent back and changed. -1 starThe Fish n Chips: The Fish batter, the same unpleasant batter. I needed to remove the batter to eat it. I didn't mention the fries that I needed to ask for. I tried about 3 or 4 of them and found them to be soggy.. I didn't eat them. -1.5 starsThe Meatball, Sausage, Pasta: The Meatball was dense. He didn't finish it. And the pasta over-done. The pasta could have been remade, but not the meatball. The meal is not good when 2 of the main components are not made well. -1.5 starsYou're at 1 Star right now....The app and both meals were a fail. The table bread does not make the meals taste better. I gave 2 stars because the service was good. And I tipped according to the service since the server doesn't cook the meals. However, the response of the establishment was disrespectful of my honest review. " The only fault is the breading"... is a MAJOR fault, ruining both the appetizer and one of the main meals. Yes, pasta could be remade, but what about the hard inedible meatball."Somethings not adding up" ? I hope this clarified how I added, and subtracted, from the star rating. You will not take constructive criticism and rudely reply to reviews you don't like.Bad food and lacking professionalism. I took another star away.

This was such a warm and coat place to have lunch. I got the lasagna and it was so good. Decent sized portion and perfect for the chilly day. My husband got the French dip and said he really enjoyed it. We got the pretzels were were really good but had Heinz mustard on the side. The pretzels themselves were so good that a better sauce would have set it above and beyond. The brownie was warm and moist. Definitely enjoyed ourselves and the waitress was amazing.

The only saving grace of our experience was the sweet waitress, Silva. The captains platter had zero seasoning apart from maybe salt and paprika for color. They don’t serve tap water. They didn’t have a drink menu nor a section showing available sides. It’s a huge restaurant with nice decor, and I was surprised we had to wait, being there were a ton of empty tables. I understand that the waitstaff can only handle so many tables at a time and likely they were short-staffed. The bar area seems like it would be fun but I wouldn’t go back for food.

Alaska Pete’s is the go-to in the area when you want to knock it out of the park with ambiance, service and taste. I’ve never had a bad meal here; pricing is for sure higher than other places in the Marshall’s Creek area BUT there are no places that compare to Pete’s in Marshall’s Creek. So, you get what you pay for. When the weather warms up you cannot beat the ambiance of outdoor dining here. The place is beautiful & well kept. My only gripe is I wish they stayed open later & didn’t charge per soda refill-otherwise I’d be here 3 times a week. Highly recommend!

We went here on the recommendation of a home inspector and I’m so glad we took his advice. I’m from the Deep South and have been wanting good barbecue and I finally found it! The pulled pork should be soaked in sauce a few minutes longer but it was still delicious and the ribs were phenomenal. They even have their own smoker out back. Marianne is an amazing waitress and just a lovely person in general. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and we’ll definitely be back often.

2nd time eating here and the food is really really good. The service was a little subpar, but the waitress might have been having a rough day. Either way, I'd recommend this restaurant to any one looking for a "hidden gem." It's very diverse, you can have a boys/girls evening out or bring your family. The atmosphere is very welcoming.

I stopped at this restaurant for lunch because I was super hungry. When I arrived I parked in their private lot. I walked in to the outdoor seating area and chose to sit there. Vanya was my server and she was very nice. For my meal I got the cod special and they made it a sandwich which I was so appreciative of. I also ordered the clam appetizer and it tasted soo good. I also enjoyed the cod and french fries. The bill was affordable and I enjoyedy time.

Anyone who rated this less than a 4.5 didn’t have the barbecue. Fall off the bone ribs and brisket and pulled pork was delicious. I’m very picky with Coleslaw and this was good.My buddy had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and there’s nothing left on his plate. But the best is the semolina bread. Now, I always thought it was a requirement that restaurants offer tapwater for free. I don’t mind paying for bottle water but they have Fiji bottled water which is a water company I have a problem with because corporations bought all the water in Fiji and the people there don’t have access to any water and it’s an island where it’s their only water source.I mainly drink Poland Springs which come from Maine where there’s a huge aquifer.

Food tasted good except my cheesteak was sitting in grease liquid from my cheesteak on the bottom of the plate so the bottom of the bun was soggy. When a bun is this soggy you can't put it down so I had to woof it down. The inside part was very tasty. Fries were basic fries. Nice decor but very loud so it made conversation difficult. Price wise about the norm for what I had.

Warm, welcoming atmosphere to have a meal. Our waitress was pleasant, sociable, and smiling. Food was good, and there was plenty. I'd never been here, and it was much larger than I expected, reminded me of a lodge. You won't be disappointed.

We had 14 people & a baby in our 4 generation family group visit at Alaska Pete's on the Saturday after Christmas. Everything from our family friendly seating location to the appetizers: blooming onion, mozzarella sticks, pizza then our meals: scallops, ribs, steaks, duck, tuna steak, burgers and pasta, to our deserts: pistachio cake, mud pie, brownies ice cream & cappuccino was delicious!!!Not one single complaint. Kudos to the chef & kitchen crew. Our server, was a real pro!! Friendly, very efficient, polite, and very, very patient. Thank you Erin!!.Before we said our goodbyes, we have already decided to repeat this plan again next Christmas season šŸŽ„.....and possibly during the spring or summer season too. 😃Thank you Alaska Pete for a perfect afternoon for our family.

The place was very nice. I ordered the ribeye steak and baked potato. The ribeye steak was cold and raw, I had to walk around to find the waitress, and I had to ask the cook to bring her to my table. When she came, I told her the steak was still raw and cold. She took it back and when she brought it back to me,it was overcooked, I didn't want to say anything more, not to mention I do not believe it was a ribeye steak. Although the service was terrible, and food was very plain, for a meal that was basically $50 I don't feel it was worth it. this place was very nice. But for the money I spent, I won't come here again. Did I leave a tip? Yes, I always do.......
