WHY are dogs allowed in the store? The cashiers were playing with the dog..... dogs aren't allowed in grocery stores! It wasn't a service dog!Harry in dairy should get 5 stars- nice, helpful and friendly! Other employees should be like him.Whatever happened to looking professional? Hair cuts and dress codes no longer exist? Please help the cashiers who need help instead of walking away in the opposite direction when I tell you they need help.system

I’m never going back to that Weis again, all the employees were very rude and unmotivated to do thier jobs. It took me 45 min just to buy a couple of things because of how slow the employees were going. It was very unprofessional behavior and I did not feel welcomed shopping at that store

This is your typical grocery store nothing special the Giant grocery store less than a 1/4 of a mile away is so much nicer.The self-serve lines are a pain in the butt always requiring the employee covering that area to reset the scanner.

Generally, I enjoy shopping at this location. Fresh produce, decent deli and bakery. Good overall selection. Came in around store opening (7a on Saturday, trying to avoid long lines and crowded aisles) for kitchen/pantry restock and holiday weekend supplies. No cashier on duty AT ALL. Had to ring out full cart; the register/scanner showed an error after almost every swipe. The really nice employee who had to clear out the errors was nice, friendly, and patient but kept telling me that the machine was "talking back" and "being difficult." Couldn't open one staffed lane? And, if I'm going to shop for it, ring it through, and bag it myself, I think there should be a 3% (at least) discount on the entire purchase.

Associate was very disrespectful to my husband and I. She spoke to us in a disrespectful tone, and almost caused me to fall when she YANKED an electric cart away from me. My husband and I are both disabled and this is totally unacceptable behavior for your associate to show. Please discipline her or terminate her employment. She is very discriminatory

They keep repackaging spoiled meat so that the packaged date is within a day or two of my purchase, yet when I open the beef the same day I buy it’s green and smells like rot. It keeps happening and is disgusting. Stop lying about the packed date.

Convenient location for me, but doesn't have quite everything one would want as a vegetarian/vegan. That being said, the vegan stuff that they do have is usually on sale. Solid beer selection in that part, and probably a bit overlooked in that regard, so special releases seem to hang out a bit longer than expected. Good bakery.

The Weis Market in Hill’s Plaza has the best butcher shop on the south side of State College. I also like the fresh veggies and fruit. The staff are helpful and polite. My 1st choice supper market, with Sheetz gas points, to boot.

Was on a weekend trip this store was close, and open early. So i went it was well stocked, and easy to navigate. I have not shopped at a Weis Market in years and this store made me feel pleasantly welcomed back. Thank you for having a clean welcoming store ill be checking my local Weis more often.

Weis market South Atherton was a pleasant surprise the international section was much better than I expected. Produce was good. I haven't been shopping there but after this visit I will be back.

This is a very nice Weis store. Clean, nice staff and a different variety of groceries. My only complaint is that over other grocery stores Weis is just a bit more pricey than what I like to spend on the regular food necessities.

Nice, nice, NICE, and VERY friendly employees in this store. Best grocery store in the area. All employees talk to you, say hello, and are interested in helping you. It just gives you a good feeling while doing something as mendane as grocery shopping!

My mom and I (Since we do the grocery shopping) go here a lot. It is close and has good prices. They have a news flier that has all the deals going on, as well as what will be going on sale fridays. Never had a bad experience here with employees. They have a discount rack, where they put baked goods that are messed up (donuts weren't perfect, bread is misshaped etc). It is a great place to look because you can find a lot of good stuff (half price cakes sometimes!). Overall this is a good store, i just reccomend being a smart shopper, because you can save a lot!

Very clean store, some parts of the place are updated and newer looking, while some are older and not yet renovated, but the selection is great and their hot bar has some genuinely good food for lunch/ dinner.

Whoever did the layout for this store made some interesting choices. It’s hard to find basic stuff (e.g. peanut butter and jelly are wedged between cake mix and flour), and even when you do finally find something, the choices are often limited (e.g. only one size/brand of brown rice). At least the people who work at the post office inside are nice - they’re the only reason this place is getting more than one star.

When I went in to purchase lettuce about 4/1/19 all the leaf lettuce was wilted sufficient for the compost bin. I asked a clerk for lettuce and he went back and came out with one (1) nice head of non-wilted leaf lettuce. He did not care enough about customers to restock the shelves.That original lettuce should have been removed from the shelves hours ago. I am looking forward to Giant moving to Hills plaza!

We were visiting the area and stopped for pain reliever. While there we figured, what the h***, let's buy groceries. It was a miraculous experience. We actually bought" I can't believe it's not butter" lite spread. It was the first time in six months that we had seen it anywhere in central PA. No, we did not panic buy more than three tubs. Haha!We don't want to forget our checkout associate. His name is Bob. Bob is a kind and thoughtful person. We could see him smile through his mask. People like Bob will bring us back to shop at Weis again.

If I go shopping there for full grocery trips I try to go weekdays during the day when Bob is working. His line is usually longer because so many people go to Weis to see him. I have two sons with autism and they love Bob and Bob loves them. He always remembers us. If I'm there without my kids he always asks about them and talks about how wonderful he thinks they are. I never mind waiting in line to get to see Bob. He's a local treasure. Otherwise their prices are decent and I can usually find everything on my list.

Horrible customer service at the front end of the store. I really don't know if I will return. The 1 and only person cashier went on break leaving me with giving to lift all my heavy cases and water because of course there are no hand scanners. I am old and very disgusted with the response I got from the service desk. I really use to love this store, but after today not so much

I would say your average grocery store. Nothing really stands out about this place, good or bad. Average size/selection. They do sell beer and wine now, which is great so that you don't have to make two stops sometimes.

A very nice associate went into the back to find hydrogen peroxide for me because the shelf was empty. I needed a lot of it to care for an injured calf on the farm. I regret not getting his name, but I appreciate him so much!!

I had a great experience the customer service counter person asked if I was looking for something.I replied to check out she went back and opened the register and rung me up.Thank you because today my wife is having surgery and was tired and distracted for self checkout 😂

Weis has great weekly specials. A great store to pick up on sale items and for quick shopping. Things are generally fresh. Prices for paper goods and household items are high, however.

Weis sent me a FB survey...was there today... self check out was jam packed & and out of the 16 other check out aisles, 3 were open. Not a huge issue, but with rumors of Giant coming to Hills Plaza, maybe y'all at Weis Markets should "tool up" and make the visit better. Hey...it's a little freaky having your life monitored, so, I would also like to know if they know how long the wait was...lol!Just having some fun...😎
