I live in Morgantown and it's always worth the trip to go to Shields! I recently became infatuated with carnivorous plants and they have a good selection. I also wanted to try some diy projects with air plants and they had those in stock as well. The couple who run it are super knowledgeable and are happy to walk you through care of your new plants.

This was my first time there. I didn't know the place even existed. U cant miss it, right along these road. I believe its family owned and operated. Everyone was really friendly an knowledgeable about all their products. The place is HUGE!I can't wait to see this place in the sping/summer. They have a big peacock, and ponds with frogs in it. They have alot of plants, old bottles, homemade soaps and wine. I believe they have there own honey bees an use the honey for their wine and soaps. There's a big dog. Its super friendly

I'm going to go ahead and gush here, I adore this place. The owners are tremendously helpful and friendly. Not only that, I consider them friends. I only know them through our visits to their business, but they regularly ask about our family and pets and remember our gardens well enough to ask about some specific plants we bought a year ago. The greenhouses themselves are an adventure and feel as though you are entering a wonderland of some sort and the gift shop is an absolute delight to the senses with all sorts of potpourri, dried flowers, antiques, soap, etc... You will not regret shopping here instead of a box store.

This nursery is awesome! They have quality plants from seedlings to well established plants for a great price. This is a family run place and they are very friendly. They are very knowledgeable and can answer all of your questions. Whether you are looking for a flowery gift or a plant for your home, I'm sure you will go home with more than you expected! Great atmosphere and will definitely come back!

Beautiful flowers! Not the variety I had hoped for with peppers, tomatoes, and herbs, but the prices were more than reasonable and the staff was very helpful and kind. I will definitely return and I recommend you stop in as well. Also, easy to spot the location as it is right on the roadside.

I love the variety and quality of the plants at shields. They take a lot of pride in everything they have. Everyone is very polite and helpful. I get my flowers and vegetable plants there. I know they will do great.

So many awesome house plants, succulents and cacti for such great prices! I have 10 really healthy plants from here that are doing fantastic! And most of those plants I have had for a few years now. I would totally recommend doing any plant shopping here. They also have a huge selection of flowers and other kinds of plants.

Probably the best melomel (type of mead /w fruit) in PA. Follows the old-world methods passed down from a truly prolific mead master, Mr. Androczi. If you are curious about mead, definitely stop in here and taste some and take a bottle or 2 home with you. Only other place to get a mead (melomel or otherwise) this good is to head down to WV and visit another protege of Mr. Androczi's.

This is a true greenhouse. Perennials, herbs, annuals...I could go on but gardening is in my blood and this place is close to where I live. My 6 yr old son even loved this place!
