Be aware that they charge a $400 notary fee.I thought it HAD to be a mistake, but no, they charge a $400 notary fee on top of transfer tax, title/registration fees, and plate fees.

I flew a few hours from out of state to see two cars with the intention of walking away with one.When I decided on which of the two vehicles I was interested in, suddenly the price was $1,500 more than what we spoke about over the phone. Basically, they were trying to take advantage of me because they knew I would need to book a return flight if we didn't come to an agreement. They took no responsibility for the miscommunication and claimed we never agreed on a price beforehand. Why would I fly a few hours away without knowing the price of the two vehicles that I was interested in?Eventually, we agreed upon a price, but I did have to spend more than was planned. As a part of the agreement they were supposed to ship me an additional part that was missing. They shipped me the wrong part, tried to blame me for their mistake, and told me I was responsible for the return shipping in order to get the correct part. Absolutely ridiculous.I would recommend avoiding these guys. They're dishonest, take advantage of people, and don't take responsibility for their mistakes.I gave them two stars instead of one because they picked me up from the airport, which was nice. But after that, the rest of the experience working with them was pretty awful.

Great cars, and fantastic people! Brad and Chad did absolutely everything to help us. When we said we were nervous about buying out of state, they assured us that the car was in outstanding condition, and jumped at the chance to show us detailed photos of anything we asked to make us comfortable. The closer we looked, the better the car got! It’s so hard to find car salesmen that are men of their words like these two. So thankful for all they did for us, and I hope everyone that does business with Terry’s Auto walks away feeling this grateful!

Absolutely the worst experience at a dealer. Drove 2 hours because the salesman said we could get the deal done over the phone. He was provided all the information on finances. Once we got there it was totally different situation. It was pulling teeth to get the man to speak with us, very strange and shady place. He would not price match other dealers because they “mark up prices”. None of the vehicles are cleaned off either. The salesman was extremely unprofessional. While speaking with us he took 3 phone calls at least one of which was just a personal call. Stay away from this dealer at all costs. Your typical used car sales dealer. Waste of 4 hours....His pricing is okay for mint cars, but the one we looked at had scratches, fogged up light and turn signal out.

I found a vehicle on Auto Trader and called to confirm it was there. I called to ask some questions and came to see it and then buy it. All went smoothly from start to finish. This seems like a small, family-owned dealership that's fair and honest and I was very happy to do business with them. I love the vehicle I got and appreciated them working with me on my trade in.

I have had bad experience with car bought from them, had it taken to them 12 times in the next year.. didn't wanna pay due to extended warranty. Took it to a good mechanic after it was up. The head warped amoung other things. He replaced and fixed it and it runs fine. How did they not notice this? I would figure they get alot of cars back due to not being able to pay and our was one of em. Either way.. make sure to get the extended warranty if you decide to buy.. I don't think I will again any time soon.

Spoke to Brad via email and phone, excellent communications. Drove 1.5 hrs to see the exact truck I've been looking for, description was exactly what was online. It was an no pressure experience. Bought truck with no problems in and out. Will definitely buy from again. Thank you !!

Worst dealership I've ever been to. The owner is such a d**k, i had questions and he refused to answer them, he acted like he didnt care about selling a car at all or about potential buyers like myself. I hate this place and it sucks that you have to atleast give a 1 star rating bc rightfully a 0 star review is more correct. His prices are outrageous and he doesn't negotiate at all, and everyone I've talked to about Terry's Auto said it was an overpriced dealership but nobody said about how much of a prique the guy is. I hope this business goes under and something more useful and respectable to the community goes in place of it.

Claim vehicles are gone over by a mechanic. Yet vehicle didnt make it out of lot due to mechanical issue. They do not want to sell vehicles at this place. Was even told that they paid over trade in value and have "paperwork" that proves they did so. Not willing to negotiate and not a place id recommend ever buying anything from. Its a shame, as this once was a great place to buy a quality vehicle. No longer is the case, avoid at all costs!!!

**HORRIBLE SALESMEN**BAD ATTITUDE**AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!Very rude sales team who seem like they don't want to sell you a car. I drove in from out of town to look at a few cars they had for sale. It had snowed the day prior and they hadn't even cleaned the snow off any of their cars.They had just taken in a car on trade that needed a new engine and then it would be for sale the next week, I left my contact information and awaited a call back to come look at the car once it was done. After a week i called for an update and i was told in a very rude tone to call back the next day and ask for another salesman and then hung up.Needless to say, i took my business elsewhere and was treated much better and now i'm driving the car of my dreams :)

Terry’s Auto: I spoke with Brad on the phone about a 2011 Black 4wd Dodge Nitro. The $15000 no haggle price was very reasonable at just above NADA clean trade. I arranged a Saturday morning appointment and drove 4 hours from Virginia to see the truck. It was raining that day. Per our agreement over the phone, Brad had put the truck in a garage so I could inspect it in a dry area. Engine compartment was clean. All fluids were at correct levels. Body and undercarriage were clean and straight. Interior was not perfect, but acceptable for a used vehicle. Test drove the vehicle and was impressed with no misses on hard acceleration and crisp shifting. It was raining, and on some wet hills of local roads, traction control came into play, as designed. 4wd engaged soundlessly in a parking lot. Overall, vehicle operation was excellent, mechanical and electrical. The truck was for my wife. She also test drove it and was equally impressed. We agreed that it was a buy. I paid with a Virginia bank cashier’s check. I was most impressed that total fees on top of the price were only $150 for title, paperwork, and temp PA 30-day plate. (By contrast, I had seen one chiseling Maryland dealer which added $1550 in fees for a used vehicle.) Brad had to leave, so Terry, the owner, handled the paperwork and provided clean title, confirmation of remaining factory warranty, and bill of sale. I had no problem titling and registering the Nitro in Virginia. Overall, Terry’s Auto was a satisfactory experience, and worth a 4 hour drive to save $3000 over retail prices at my local dealers. I recommend Terry’s and would buy from them again.

Terry is the most low key , non pressure car salesman I have ever known. We found the car we wanted on Carguru and drove from Avonmore to Somerset to look at the car at Terry's. They aren't like a bunch of vultures on a limb and felt no pressure at all to buy. He did agree to put a set of tires on the car to make the deal. We would have liked to have had a full tank of gas in the car when we picked it up as that has been our experience in the past with other dealerships but other than that our trip to Terry's was worth it so far

STAY AWAY!!! It was very frustrating. The dealer (Brad) gave me the wrong Vin over and over, I had pre-approval from my bank and insurance set to make the three hour drive to finalize. Dealer insisted on me putting a thousand down to hold (non-refundable) told him I wasn't leaving til I had correct Vin. Finally he said he was reading one letter wrong....... I bought the carfax and found out about the salvaged title and flood damage. When confronted dealer was upset with ME saying he told me of this all along and I was overreacting! Luckly I didn't make the ride or put the money down only out a vacation day. Lesson learned. PLEASE STAY AWAY!

These guys are a joke. Drove up from Pittsburgh, about an hour. I called first to make sure the vehicles I was inquiring about were still on the lot. Informed them I would be stopping by. I walked into the place and 3 guys just stared at me. I said hello and they looked at me like I was there to rob the place. When I asked about the suburu I came to see the guy hands me the keys. I was confused because usually someone comes out to look at the car with you. I asked if I could test drive it the guy says "like now?" I thought no next week pal. He puts a plate and drove it up and back the highway. When I came back I asked if there was budging on his price. I informed him that the car was listed at $2500 over what the fair market value for this vehicle was. He got ticked off and wouldnt even let me drive the second car I wanted to look at. I have no clue how places like this stay open. Happy hunting if you waste your time here. I wasted a long drive for nothing.

they do not honor their 30 day 1000 mile lousy pathetic warranty! They half assed fixed my daughters car and another garage reinspected it and found way to many things wrong with it!Terry's should have lost their inspection license! They still should! Save yourself trouble and dont go not only was the vehicle write up incorrect the sales man JP was rude and said i quote what web site we dont put information about our vehicles on a site so once i called him out and showed him the vehicle on there site and the write up on the issues about 45min later i went back to there web site and wouldn't you know they changed the info about the vehicle and not to mention the vehicle was just inspected and the rear tires were down to the wear bars so hard to tell how many other vehicles they have gets a lick and stick inspection sticker to had to give 1 star but actually should be a negative

Worst place ever I would really require a special mechanic or a car expert check the car out before buying so much rust on my car brake lines broke going down a hill but I got lucky a truck was infront of me or I would’ve lost the car then the axles tore on the front and the belts snapped off and then my brakes stuck open and broke the hat off the rotor while driving later on recently the lower control arm and sway bar long broke off causing the car to get towed worst place ever

Call about a truck on the lot I'm 4 hours away I had asked for more photographs he said because it have 42000 miles on it I didn't need more photographs that there was no rust on it , so needless to say they will not be getting my cash I'll find somebody else to give 30,000 to
