Just like many of the reviews mention and I will agree 100%. We recently moved to the area and so glad we found Roof Garden Market. Meat cut to perfection and with care and super friendly service. They take time to explain best ways to prepare or even their favorite recipe or methods. Always friendly!! I always walk out of there feeling upbeat, happy, and that I’m part of the Roof Garden family!

My experience with Roof Garden Market has been great. Good meats, reasonable grocery department and their employees are super knowledgeable and friendly.I rarely go to a supermarket anymore. Prices are really good. 100% satiisfied.

I deliver to this place and I must say that it is always busy because it is one of the premier places to get your meat it's cut from actual butchers. It also has a plethora of other food items that you can shop for. The staff is very friendly and the prices are budget friendly.

Hands down The nicest people ever!! Especially the deli area where my family and I go to get meat, cheese and lunch meat.. Haven't had anyone be mean or short with you, they all treat you well especially in the meat section.They wrap your meats especially if you let them know if you have a big order which you can call and place one for anything that is needed.. Very knowledgeable about things..If you like and follow them on fb you can always see the deals they have.. Kelly conn and family 😊

Best place to buy meat in Somerset County! The butchers are super friendly and helpful. They will hand cut your order and will have it ready if you call it in. The store has many difficult items to find like casing for home sausage making and canning supplies. They also have a variety of seasonings and local made goods. Keep up the great work!!

This place is great! Any kind of meat you want, any way you want it. Very fresh and reasonably priced, and friendly service too. Nostalgic like an old country store. They even accommodated my dog with some nice fresh bones.

I've loved this place when I lived I lived in Somerset 22 years ago... and it's still just as great as it was back then. Excellent, friendly, hometown service and the homemade gobs are the best I've ever had! (I've tried a lot of them thinking they might come close... but none ever have.) They're absolutely amazing! I live 1.5 hrs away now and still drive back to the area for them! Their fresh meat is high quality, yet still competitively priced. There's nothing better than buying local and loving it!

I had never been in this store before. Our Union gave us certificates for a picnic basket for the 4th of July. I was very impressed with the service & the quality of the meat. The gentlemen working in the meat department are to be commended for their excellent work habits & hospitality. A job well done!!

It was my first time in this store and I'm glad I stopped in. I found things in there that I haven't seen since I was younger. Everyone was super nice and helpful plus they cut their own meats, some of the stuff is a bit pricey but for hand cut fresh meat it's worth it. Also they have lunch specials every day with outstanding lunch special prices so if you haven't darken the door step of this establishment I suggest if you have a little bit of time stop in you just might find something there you like.

Was intro to the market way back in the late 50's. Every time I am in town I stop by to pick up an item or two. This time was apple butter, raisin filled cookies and Sailor Boy gobs. Items that I can't find where I live.

Absolutely love 5he service and fresh meats and deli items..they have a good selection of small bulk frozen goods ( chicken nuggets, Fries, Mozzarella stix).Ect..They cut your steaks and chops your orderv..its always customers first, I was looking for 2lt Birch beer ( they only were carrying small 14oz bottles)and the owner made a call and now they carry it in 2 ltr form..Thank you guys...Obtw..if you stop by be sure to check out there smoked pork chops WOW..and there in house breakfast sausage is top notch!

I'm happy to see that Roof Garden Market is doing so well. They have a great deli and actually I think it's just great in general because it's been a staple in Somerset and its still there after everything that has happened and still has to compete with bigger stores. I saw that the shelves are full and they have an atm and just a huge selection of everything and anything. The people who work there are always kind and helpful and always have been. I am so glad to see this place still going strong and hope it's there for my grandchildren to enjoy with their children too😊

Great price on ground beef and steak. Butcher does a good job of trimming meat. I love the jalapeño kielbasa. Great deli selection of lunch meats and cheeses. Lots of other things as well. Certainly worth a weekly stop.

I really, really want to like this place. I try to support businesses like this over places like Walmart (however, I have heard they mostly buy stuff from Walmart then charge double, as lots of people nearby can get here easier).However, the produce looks like stuff you'd be considering throwing away at home, and a lot of the stuff I did buy ended up actually being expired and unusable. If you have to shop here, do so cautiously. Perhaps stick to what you need or specialty items like Amish jams and whatnot. But wouldn't come here for your every day items.

As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a hello! And a smile! They have everything you could need/want. Fresh produce. Excellent variety of fresh meat and cheeses and lunch meat. They even have lunch specials. I love their chicken salad. I visit there quite often for soup bones for my dog. They are a down home establishment and I love going in there. They also have the best Gobs in town.

Roof Garden is a small family owned and runned "everything store" ... they have a variety of items, convenient, clean, great customer service, an amazing deli, delicious homemade sandwiches, salads, soups, and pastas and great prices !! I'd definitely recommend ANYONE go there !!!!

Pretty cool place. The meat cuts are fresh and great quality. The hours are amazing as well. There are some really cool orginal grocery items here too. My favorite thing about this place is they sell the orginal bubble gum cigarettes!!

If you haven’t visited since son Brian took over, you are missing out. This is a fully stocked small grocery store with an amazing butcher shop. They Ground Chuck is at most an hour old when you purchase it. Love buying loose bacon in.quantity that I want. While Covid was a detriment to many businesses, Roof Garden Market rose to the challenge and surpassed my expectations.

Their machine was down & we had a decent amount of meat to pay for, & they let us put everything on charge & come back later to pay for it. The staff in there is super nice & I can't wait to try their sausage! I highly reccomend this market to any meat lover!
