Great nursery! Very good selection of native plants, including some cultivars of perennials that I haven't seen anywhere else. Everything is extremely well organized and the signage identifying and explaining every plant is probably better than the signage at any other nursery I've been to. The staff is extremely helpful, as well. Can't wait to go back!

What a great place to find trees, bushes shrubs and perennials! A beautiful location as well. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I was looking for something specific and after discussing with an employee and the owner it was clear I had not done enough research regarding the conditions at my location for the plant. Now researching a bit more, their recommendations were spot on! Thank you!

Always an inspiring trip interesting options available not available at big box stores. Many native to PA perennials, all kinds of interesting bushes and trees. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for something interesting for the garden.

I used to be a landscaper and have been to virtually every nursery in southeastern PA — Behmerwald is the best I've come across. The selection is unique and plants are in pristine condition. The native plant options are incredible. The staff is super knowledgeable. Whenever I go back to other nurseries now, I'm left disappointed. Behmerwald or bust!

Large selective of native flowers/shrubs. I was so impressed with their selection and will definitely return. Most nurseries including the big box garden centers do not offer what this business does. This is an environmentally friendly business that can help others make better gardening choices. They also offer non natives too to satisfy everyone. Staff was incredibly helpful too. Beautiful fields of meadows nearby. I felt like I was in a park. The entrance and exit is extremely narrow (1 car at a time) so proceed cautiously.

I love this nursery. I bought plants for a 200 sqft area all at once and Bill was so patient with the multiple orders, replacements, and cancellations. Plus the price for the size and health of the plants just cannot be beat. All my plants are doing great 2 weeks later and even starting to flower and set buds. Great selection of natives and beautiful place to visit as well!

This place is wonderful!! They grow everything on site, and have an incredible selection. They know their stuff and won't try to oversell you- I love when a business knows that service like that ALWAYS leads to repeat customers.I was impressed with the wide range of available options, but also at the knowledge of the staff members. I was able to leave with everything I needed- one stop shopping at it's finest!!Side note: be alert and mindful when entering/ exiting the driveway- it's narrow, but not an issue if you just pay attention.

Great experience during pandemic lockdown. It was extremely convenient to be able to see a local nursery's stock online, choose what you want, pay for it and have it ready for contact-less pickup. I buy a lot of plants every year both locally and online and while there were other local nurseries that offered this service none of them offered the variety and amount of stock that Behmerwald did. They had by far the largest variety of perennials and shrubs; it was quite impressive. The plants were large, well watered and in great shape. This might become the top choice of my go to places for plant stock.

Homeowner here: This is the place to go if you’re looking to do a big project and get all the plants in one place at the same time so everything matches. Unlike at Home Depot or Lowe’s where, yes you can find crazy varieties cheaply, but not consistently.

Great hidden gem. I was able to get out there ( only a 12 minute ride) to check it out for myself. What great nursery!The amount of plants on hand was surprising and as mentioned in other reviews, they are extreamly knowledgable. No pressure to buy and help when you want it.I will be back for sure once i have a chance to look at the plants suggested for my yard. They had them available but I need to figure out my layout and space better before I can finalize.

Curbside Pick-Up worked perfectly!Could not wait any longer for the local nurseries to open. Ordered online from soil to flower plants and vegetables plants and when we arrived at the nursery at the time selected, our plants and soil were set out for us. No human contact but everything looked as good as what I would have selected personally. Thank you Behmerwald Nursery. Definitely look forward to visiting the nursery when it is fully open to the public.

Fall 2022 update;Still the best and most consistent high quality soil. Our kids school Nova Trails in Malvern got burned twice with local suppliers that had glass and trash in the soil.Behmerwald was able to deliver it outside of their delivery window and NO TRASH!Super important because the kids from 6-12 will be handling the soil and they don't need to be injured or find cigarette boxes.I refer EVERYONE to Behmerwald if they don't want to waste time and $$$ on getting results!-----------------Fall 2019 review;Had the best plants and soil when I was a landscaper, and they have much better customer service than Home Depot, Ace, Lowes. ... no offense to any of them.Look at the soil and root ball inside the pots and compare even Arborvitaes and you will see the quality difference that makes for a better transplant and healthier plant.
