It was my very first time coming here tonight, and it was absolutely amazing!Joe himself was working and he was such an absolute sweetheart! He was so patient and kind. And when we were leaving he made sure to say goodbye and thank you to us.I will absolutely be returning with my family!Kid-friendliness: It is such a family oriented atmosphere, and it reminds me of the diners you see in older movies.

My wife and I stopped in at Joe’s as we were passing through the area. We had one goal: ice cream. We both ordered caramel sundaes, which were so good! The ice cream had a smooth and creamy texture with a strong (in a good way) vanilla flavor. The caramel was hot and rich. The entire store was clean and the staff was friendly. We look forward to trying the food at our next time in.

Joe's Drive In is the place to go if you're anywhere close to Punxsutawney, Punxy to the locals. Google maps says this place offers frozen yogurt but that is incorrect. Not Joe's fault, just clarifying for my non-dairy friends. My husband got a raspberry shake and said it was really good. I like the retro 70's look of the place.

I just had the best strawberry cheesecake cyclone ever! The staff is always helpful and the food is always delicious. I've never had anything here I didn't like including their big cheese steak sandwich!!! Thank you to the staff.

Great institution. Delicious ice cream and frozen treats. Food menu is large and everything I've had has been great. Their krinkle fries are fantastic. Great milkshakes and Hot turkey sandwiches! Absolutely love Joe's.

This has become a must stop place each time I go thru Punxsutawney. Lines are typically long and a little bit of a wait, but this isn't due to anything wrong, it's just that popular of a place due to the excellent food (and ice cream). Well worth it!

They have the very best ice cream! I can't even explain why, it's extra creamy and just the best!! We come here often, half hour drive, just for ice cream. Atmosphere has an old-school vibe of a classic burger/ice cream joint. Very clean. Excellent service, friendly and quick. It was nice seeing the kids working well together to get orders out promptly.

Joe's foot long hot dogs are great especially with his special sauce. Fish sandwich, fried mushrooms and peanut butter soft serve are also very good. Joe never disappoints. The food is unique. Looking for something a bit different try him out.

The ice cream is always good and portions are pretty big. The fries they make are really good but the burgers are so so. Staff is always friendly and prices are reasonable. Great place to stop and family friendly.

Nice people. Clean place. It's a little out dated as far as interior BUT the food makes up for it ! I ordered a pizza burger and jalapeno poppers. My husband got 2 foot long hot dog with sauce and onions and onion rings. Descent servings on everything. We each got fountain drinks with free refills. Our meals total for 2 was less than $20.00. Food came out quickly and hot. The food tasted great!!! I've had many pizza burgers and this 1 was the best thus far ! We decided to try some ice cream at this point. I got a hot fudge brownie delight and my husband got a hot fudge Sunday with peanuts. They were good sized ! Under $8.00 for both. Ice cream is just as good ! So for dinner and dessert , less than $30.00 for 2 !Fantastic ! We will be returning to try other menu items in the very near future !!!!

Joe's can't be beat. It's a locally owned restaurant for delicious fast foods and unique drinks & ice cream specialties. I personally know the owner and knew his father (The founder) who sadly passed away earlier in the year. They truly care about the restaurant. Great prices for great food. Not a fancy place but a true hidden gem I've been visiting for close to 50 years. You can't go wrong at Joe's. Great place!!

Always friendly, polite, fast service. Everything is always made to order. Fresh cut fries or fresh cut curly fries. Great double cheeseburgers and the grilled chicken salad is enough for 2 meals! Best soft serve chocalate cones in tri-county area! Old time drive in experience (minus the roller skates of course!) We stop every time we go to Punxsutawney. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
