I would like to thank Ashley and Josh on making my fishing boat what I hoped it could be. Josh did a excellent job installing the new trolling motor and fish finds on my Ranger. I went to the St. Lawrence River this past week fishing with my son and had a fantastic experience because of the professional work done on my boat. The owners were wonderful! So kind and helpful! Their little dog Rosie was so sweet and playful. My kids saw this giant tadpole in with the minnows and asked about it. The owner came over and told us about them and asked if we wanted to take one home. It was so neat! We will have to post pics of them when they turn into giant frogs!!! Thanks again :)

After speaking with too many dock ‘builders’, Tom insisted I needed an aluminum dock, as it’ll look great, and will stand the test of time much longer than a custom built wooden dock.He was right! I love the dock and stairs he provided and it’s the finishing touch on our new house that adds so much value and character to the property.He also services the dock for us before and after the lake freezes over.Thanks Pocono Boat House!!!

Our family rented a house for the weekend and we’re having trouble fishing so we went in this store and Tom was extremely helpful he went above and beyond. Tom answered all our questions and helped us learn the proper way to fish he even told us the best place to go fishing and was very patient. I would definitely 100% recommend this shop and would come back again.

First years ago bought my kayak here. Owner took time with me to help me decide what type of kayak I wanted and the price I wanted to spend. Love my kayak. Then a few years later when went back for cross country skis. He again spent time with me, had me try on everything, worked with me to find a great combo of new and used skis boots and poles. The only thing I got by mail was new boots. When they came they were too small. By then I had moved away and not able to get back to try and find bigger ones. More than a year later I was able to get back and with the same cooperativeness, again owner took his time and had me try several variations to be sure they fit and charged me very little to replace them. I’m very grateful because the boots really need to match the skis and now I can use them. Before without boots, the entire package was no good. So thank you very much for letting me cross country ski again!

This is not an average review or some bs, paid for promo. My family came in from out of state and we needed skis tuned up. We came in very late and they were closing in 20 minutes. They took my information and as I was waiting for my friends renting skis, I was approached by an employee (not knowing anything about this person), he asked if I needed anything, why I was in the store, needed any help etc. I explained we had stopped in and just dropped skis for a tune and he immediately told me he would go take a look at them (moving past closing time). This super sweet lady was meanwhile helping all the customers in the store with great efficiency and unusual thoughtful helpfulness. As the gentleman went in the back to work on my skis, the lady and my friends and I got into a conversation. She explained their family history in business being year round and the transformation that takes place each season, the passion they have for providing superior service and making connections with every customer. We learned the two were husband and wife and part of the family enterprise. They were so sincere and clearly made an impression on me. I have a personally high standard of service and demand the best. I never write reviews but was so blown away by this couple and their family’s business acumen and service provision it would have been selfish of me to not write of their overwhelmingly beautiful setup and care that was given to every customer including myself as we spent time in their store. This world needs more family business owners like these, Josh and his wife (so sorry I forgot your name☺️) and their family. They are what makes this country great and reminds me of how humans can still make an impact when they aren’t necessarily trying just by doing what’s right and working hard to go the extra mile. Highly recommend Pocono Boat House!!!

I had bought a brand new boat and was having trouble with the trolling motor. Once I realized the dealer where I spent nearly $60,000 didn’t want to hear my issues I looked up service centers and located Pocono Boat House. I brought my boat there and was quickly met by a tech. I explained my issues and without interrupting me (thinking he already knew) he listened to my issue. He knew exactly what the problem was and assured me I’d have my boat back in no time. I spoke with the owner Tom several times on the phone and he was always polite and courteous. Tom explained the procedure in the warranty claim and told me I wouldnt have to worry about a thing (iv been told this before by other service centers) Sure enough a few days later I received a call fromTom letting me know that I was ready to fish again. I arrived at Pocono Boat House and Tom told me I was good to go and that was all there was to it. My experience with Pocono Boat House was nothing but excellent. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Not to mention the great selection of fishing gear. Thanks Tom I will certainly be back.

Ashley was excellent in helping us make the decisions on our new boat and accessories. Their knowledge of lake resort requirements and experience with boater varying needs took care us from soup to nuts. Great products and great service, including answering all my dumb questions as a beginner in boating and spending time to go over boat features and operating instructions right at our dock.

I was just in there for firewood and to get bot my sons rods fixed. Amazing customer service I bought a knife there. I was greeted at the door and had all my questions answered. I will definitely order from here and come in every year

Great staff! They seem to have a lot of various stuff, but I was there for fishing. I'm a complete novice, and they have nice rods for $20-$50. I also brought in and asked if they could fix up 7 fishing rods in various states of disrepair. Tom (I assume he's the owner) didn't expect such random request, but spent >30 minutes fixing up all my rods, and did not charge me a single penny! Incredibly nice! Thank you!

I don’t understand the negative comments and reviews. I have always been treated very well; the owner takes great pride in customer satisfaction. The store is abundant with everything you need for outdoor fun in the winter and summer. Prices have never been an issue; I don’t see where reviewers here say it’s a rip off, clearly is not the case. The merchandise is very good quality and the prices are very fair. For myself and family, friends & neighbors, we have been patronizing this store for many years and keep coming back, always feel welcomed and treated like family.

Went for a last min need to enjoy some time with my son on harmony lake. They originally did not have what I came for because they were waiting on a delivery. After talking with staff there, they went far and beyond to assist me with what I needed. All I can say is Thank you!! My son and I had a blast!

Tom gave me a great deal on 2 Hobie fishing kayaks. Has always done right by me. I recommend his shop to everyone. Liked the service and competent advice so much I went back and bought a trailer for those kayaks. Tom knows his stuff!

I can't say enough about this place. To make a long story short, my roof rack decided to break as I was driving on the Turnpike and unfortunately left me with the horrible rear view mirror sight of seeing my beloved kayak being destroyed by a tractor trailer behind me. The boat was completely totaled. The next day, between being on the phone with insurance companies all day, I found time to call around to boat shops to see if my baby was fixable. After emailing pictures, most said it was done for. After contacting Pocono Boat House, Tom told me to bring it in and he"ll look at it. As soon as I pulled in, he saw it and said something like "oh it'll float again don't worry." You can imagine the confusion on my face after seeing all the cracks and damage done to my kayak and then hearing that. Tom took it in the back and worked on it for about 5 hours, also while handling customers in the shop at the same time. He worked very hard on my kayak and at the end of the day it looked like a different boat than I brought in. My kayak will never look as it did before the accident but it looks 100x better and somehow works again thanks to Tom. When it was all said and done, Tom shook my hand and said "don't buy cheap roof racks anymore." I will forever be grateful for this man's amazing skills and kindness. This is a great business and I strongly recommend anyone to give it a visit for any fishing/boating needs. Tell Tom I sent you lol.Also if you are reading this, DO NOT buy the cheap cross bars you find on Amazon. Spend the extra money on Thule or Yakima. You'll be thankful you did when you never have to see your $800 kayak being ran over by an 18 wheeler.

I came here looking for a kayak to give my mom for her 60th birthday. I can't even begin to tell you how much Pocono Boat house went beyond expectations. They delivered and even got a bow on it before gifting it to my mom. Thank you every single one of you for making my mom a happy women. I will be back. If you havnt checked it out they have everything from kayaks fishing gear honestly any gear you need seasonally. Thank you thank you thank you. Love you guys!

I have stored a small boat at the boathouse for the past few years. Every year the Pocono Boathouse has been extremely reliable in picking up the boat and bringing it back for storage. However, this year, one of their employees, Kenny, went well above and beyond in helping me. My motor was not working and I was literally paddling a 16 foot boat from my dock to the landing spot. It was exhausting. Kenny was waiting for me at the agreed upon spot and saw that I was paddling. He borrowed another boat, drove it to where I was essentially stuck and towed me back onto land! He then quickly loaded up the boat and drove it away to the boathouse. I was incredibly grateful and impressed. Thank you Kenny:) I would highly recommend their services and products if you are in the Poconos!

I brought my Electric Poontoon Boat in for repair. Tom took the time to come outside and do some tests free of charge. He found a problem with the wiring. He fixed it and I am back on the water. Thank you so much Tom.He also repaired my old boat back in 2010. Did a great job with that too. Very friendly and would highly recommend Pocono Boat House!

I like to shop and buy local, but the business has to offer good product and service as well. The Pocono Boat House offers this and more. We owned a 21' boat for years and always brought it here for maintenance and service. We even purchased our accessories for the smaller jon boat as well. The prices rival the big box stores yet provide expert advice as well.Get to know these people, they are the experts for this area; where to fish, where to boat and kayak. Their advice is invaluable.

The several times I've been there I had to shout for someone, there was no one in the store to help me.I needed a plastic fishing license carrier and a dozen nightcrawlers. They had no prices on either the bait fridge or the carrier box by the register. Whatever, those things are always like .75 to 1$ for the carrier, 2.00-2.50 for nightcrawlers.Incorrect. When he rang me up it was 2.50$ for the license carrier, and 4.00$ for the worms. Ended up being 7$ with tax. That's obscene. Everything in the store is grossly overpriced.I asked if there was a mistake, and how much each item cost. When he told me I was shocked and informed him that was grossly overpriced and I would never be back. I bought the items only because I was in a hurry to get out to the lake and didn't want to stop again.If you're in the area there are a few more small tackle shops on 940, the gas station near Pocono Pines has a bait machine, and there is the Blakeslee Sport shop on 115.

The worst customer service ever. Everything they say they will do takes so much longer and is usually another problem afterwards.They never keep their promised delivery time. It takes weeks!!!.They over bill you Every season they stored our boat, there was a costly problem when it was returned. They quote prices to put in/pull out the dock, each time the quotes change. Stay away from this place. Even though there are few boat houses in the area I highly reccomend going elsewhere.
