I don’t usually go to this store because it’s ridiculous expensive compared to everywhere else. I went there to get some spring mix for a salad. Got this “organic” kind, had to spend 30min washing and taking a part all old leaves. It was DISGUSTING! But I couldn’t get anything else to eat at night. Such an EXPENSIVE and BAD quality store. With Aldi near by and Walmart making deliveries, I’m shocked that people still go to Shop and Save!

I’m torn. I want to support local businesses and I live 1/2 a mile away. So why do I cringe when I go shopping here?Recently, they have done many upgrades and looks good but…..The fruits & vegetables are never top quality. I bought some blueberries, looked good, turned the tub over, looked good. Got them home and the middle berries were moldy. Okay so stuff happens. Love mushrooms but all the tubs had moisture on the inside and that’s never good.They don’t sell products I’ve used for years but I don’t want to travel to “Big Bird” just cause.The part that disturbs me most are the attitudes of the employees. The older folks that work there are for the most part respectful and helpful. The “younger folk” not so much, I bought some milk and olive oil. The cashier put them in a bag and laid the bag heavily on its side. When I came home and opened the bag somehow she had jarred it enough to cause the cap to come loose and leak.It’s been a year and a half. When do I give up and go back to where I use to shop?

This store is my primary grocery shopping location. They have a very good selection of produce Meats and pretty much anything else you could use. The store has been upgraded. Plus I love the fuel perks I get on my purchases.

We got a sub here a week ago and asked them nicely to cut it into threes. They did a wonderful job went in today and they made a scene and refused saying that they don’t cut subs in half for you. We’re never be back really sad to consider when we’ve lived here our entire lives.

I had a $5.00 off coupon good for purchase on $25 or more. BUT they refused to honor it only because the "code" did not match my reward card! Though this coupon came out with my purchase re empty last week! Lady at customer service did not care and refused to understand!

They don't even deserve a star. My wife and I were standing at the deli. I said excuse me sir while he was cleaning the slicer he said I know you're there. Another few minutes this guy kept cleaning a slicer. He didn't want to wait on us I'm done with the store.

This store never changes their items. You'll see 5 rows of same item. They never bring in new items that many other stores carry. Deli is terrible @ chipped lunch meat, it's shaved so thin you have to put clumps of it on your sandwich. Hot food is always dried out. Never covered or stirred. Only go there cause so close, mostly shop @ 1 4 miles further.

Definitely not the worst, but I can tell that there are some issues amongst the staff. Every time I go in, I hear at least 1 snarky comment between staff to another staff member, and the last time I was there, I heard someone actively quit in the middle of the aisle. I still go there to get groceries though, so no complaints on that side of things.

They remodeled the floor but they should of put the money in to getting actual edible produce. I am done shopping here I will drive the extra miles to go to murrysville shop n save or find something at Aldi's. Sucks because this is literally 5 seconds from my house.

I had a very awful experience at this shop n save this girl named Brionna a cashier was extremely rude and no welcoming at all. I put my gift card and a card up and i was with someone who also had some things so I put my gift card and card up first paid for those two items and then the person i was with then put his things up and she said we didn’t pay for them when i paid for it so we had to put it all on one and it was confusing that way. she was very rude and sassy about how she was talking to her customers even the guy behind us was talked to rudely.

This is a great little store! Despite being part of a larger chain, this store has a "mom-n-pop" feel. The staff are friendly and helpful. A lot of product variety for a store this size. The deli and hot foods are also remarkable.

Nice adequate selections, great cashiers and bags. Tired of waiting and super store lines. Thumbs up shop and save. Although, I wondered why you didn't have reusable bags. I brought my own and the cashier told me that she was not allowed to pack groceries in them? So she asked me how many that I had and I told her and I said why and she said because you get five cents off. I hope this isn't why you're discouraging the use of reusable bags all four go the nickel for your waste of plastic and paper bags.

This store is 5 minutes from my home. I'll drive 20 minutes to shop elsewhere. The young blonde in the deli shouldn't even have a job that has to service people. I talked to a manager about her rudeness. It didn't seem to be a problem to him. monemoney s

Very nice workers lady at deli was very neat and I got waited on right away. The lunch meat is fresh. The store is big and it is very clean. I got strip steak on sale. They always have good sales on food I usually buy. They have more than two lines open and if it's busy, the customer service will take someone in line. They have everything I need

The customer service is great they will help you. Be cautious, watch out for expired or past sell by food, meat, and some of the produce. Just inspect the food well before buying. I can say they will help you out if you let them know something is wrong and will correct it.I had to return a bad item even though the sell by date was not up yet, it was not good you could smell it. I brought the unused portion in right away along with my reciept ,and they refunded it.I just got another one that ended up being perfectly fine. Things happen they are human food just goes bad sometimes.

This store gets worse all the time. The produce is ill-stocked and rarely worth buying. The manager, Mike, is horrible. Apart from the problems with the store - lack of stock, dirty - he is one of the worst customer service people I have met. I asked a question one day and he was incredibly nasty. Saturday, I was in the cat food aisle where he was taking inventory. As I reached for an item, he pushed in front of me so I had to move back out of his way and he said he just need to finish and I could get my item when he was done. Excuse me? I would do more shopping there despite high prices if he were not a part of the team. I have also heard the way he reacts towards staff. Shocking behaviour.

Meats are all spoiled. Ground beef was brown, steaks discolored and no variety. Got a sub because it seemed like the safe bet. No condiments with the sub. My daughter wanted some ice cream and NO dairy free options in coolers. Over priced and under quality. Will not stop again.

I work for Instacart shopping/delivery and I am sent to this store quite often ..I just have to say thank you to the staff starting in produce all the way to the checkout line, everyone is so friendly and helpful!!! Today I had a 2 large orders , Too much for one cart. And Conor, Offered to help me finish finding the items I needed, helped me bag everything and got me a second cart and helped take the groceries out to my car! That was so generous, kind thoughtful and above and beyond his job duties ! I just see this everywhere in this store! Jeff in the meat department is amazing- he always goes out of his way to get me what I need for my customers. The produce, bakery & deli staff are also incredible helpful and friendly I appreciate them so much!The checkout girls and baggers- I can’t thank them enough for all their help and always being willing to separate my orders for me, bagging them differently- so that I can do you my job the best way.I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at the 286 Shop and Save!!!! What a great team!! You Rock!!!! 😃😃😃

Employees here genuinely care.I called about 7 minutes to close and asked if they could set aside a can of canned pumpkin as my cat was having some stomach issues, and they were more than happy to help and be there to let me in the locked door.I appreciate that they went out of their way to help me out.

This is a nice clean store, very large, well lit with a wide variety of products. Friendly customer service people and very friendly cashiers. They have received added beer and wine. There is an in-store florist and bakery. It is enjoyable to shop here. The prices are not bad, and I would rather go here as these stores are independently owned and operated. Sadly Giant Eagle and Walmart dominate the grocery business in Pittsburgh, slowly driving stores like this out of business.

Worst grocery store around. The meat and seafood are terrible. Expired food on shelves. A horrible representation of a nice community. We need a Giant Eagle on 286. Don't know how the health department hasn't shut this place down. Their Penn Hills store is just as bad.

Very nice and clean grocery store. The management staff and employees are all very nice, helpful and accommodating, especially to those with a disability. They even give a free bakery cookie and/ or slice of deli meat or cheese to children. Plus, it's great to see that this store employees individuals with varying disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Very overpriced. Even during a sale, it's difficult finding what I would consider a money saving deal. For years now, the deli/meat counter employees refuse to (or, I assume, not able to) wait on customers in a fair, orderly fashion. For years (up until about a year or so ago) had a pick your number system, but the problem is/was that none of the employees would call out a number. Even though you, the customer, may have been waiting to be waited on for five minutes, a person just walking up to the deli would be waited on there and then.The store hours of operation are adequate. The variety of items and departments are also adequate.
