It is my belief that Giant created Heirloom to charge millennials more for the same food by luring them inside with fancy branding and a massive beer/wine selection (seriously, it's huge). They did this perfectly.Whenever I walk into a Giant Heirloom I have such high hopes and I am always disappointed by the selection. The produce is the same but there's less of it. The frozen food is the same but there's less of it. I suppose there is more fancy cheese and wine but probably not more than a good local market. However, my biggest grip about this place is that they have NO Diet Coke. In fact, the have no coke or Pepsi products at all. I don't get this? Are they attempting to seem more upscale by not offering these products? They still have candy bars - what gives? The BIGGEST PRO of this place is their Sushi selection. For the uninitiated, Giant offers half-price sushi every Wednesday. At this location, they were still churning out fresh rolls at 7pm.PRO TIP: Try their Buffalo Chicken roll w cream cheese and hot sauce - its very unique and delicious.I think that Giant can do better than this for a small market like this. If you are going to charge more, offer different products. Hopefully, the regular Giant on the river gets reopened soon!

Clean, organized store. Shelves are stocked with products, vegetables and fruits are fresh and clean. Plenty of self check out terminals.

Nice neighborhood convenience. Small but has a lot of basics, staff are friendly and helpful, OK wine selection for a grocery store.

I really liked this market, they had a variety of fresh food, cut fruits, premade salads and sandwiches, etc that were easy to grab. I also love that they sell wine and beer in the store (separate checkout from groceries). It seemed priced reasonably for the area. It might be a little hard to do an entire grocery run here since it’s small but I love that it’s walkable.

It was my first time here. If I didn't live out of state, I would shop here all the time. Prices were reasonable on some things and pricey on others, especially on soft drinks, but I found out it's a soda tax.

Friendly staff, great management, very good selection with a variety of brands to satisfy many tastes. Clean and convenient. Good prices and rewards program is a plus. This is my go to neighborhood store. I'm grateful it is here as an alternative to the very old, run down market nearby.

Nice clean and organized Giant I prefer this smaller one then the new one built on Columbus Blvd. I normally shop for a few nights so I love the convenience of this giant

They have a good selection of poultry, vegetables, fruit, and dry goods. Seafood is mostly frozen. One of the few grocery stores in the area that has beer and wine. Sometimes out of stock of staples like dish soap. Overall, great store that also have rewards benefits with the Giant card.

Great supermarket that is easily accessible within walking distance. For being a relatively small grocery store, they generally have what I need in regards from fresh produce to frozen meals to cheese. Their self-checkout system is very easy and it is not too expensive.

Small supermarket that carries local products such as Sarcone, Isgro’s, High Street bakeries, Claudio’s cheese

Kind of useless. A market for wealthy people gentrifying the area. Already have 2 supermarkets nearby. This place is always packed with Karens and baby strollers.

This store is great! It's small, but pretty mighty. I can usually find everything I need, especially in the produce department. Everything in the "fresh" aisles is always well stocked. Some of the grocery aisles and refrigerated sections by self-checkout can get low but I don't think I've ever had a scenario where I couldn't find something I needed. The store does a great job of covering the basics. I wish they carried items that are on sale/eligible for reward redemption in the app, but they tend to focus on giant branded items instead. The products are good quality, it's just a shame you see these rewards available and can never redeem them. (For example: one time there was a reward for 10 points or something extremely cheap to get a 2L bottle of the seasonal cranberry sprite, but heirloom stores don't carry name brand sodas like that.) On the flip side: the store is rarely ever crowded! I don't know how they manage to have such a nice store like this where it's not super crowded no matter what time or day of the week I go in.I live smack in the middle between Sprouts and Giant Heirloom and I have to say: I prefer the Heirloom!

While I do consider this store to be a very high end, luxury grocery store... I still really love their selection of alcohol. Their staff are also very nice, and I appreciate the self check out lanes as a super introverted person. I don't know if their meats are really much more expensive than Target or Whole Foods - but there are less options. This is definitely a higher end store, but if you just need a couple of things once and a while and live near by - seems like a great option.

When Heirloom opened it offered a pretty decent selection of foods at a range of different prices. It never had the most expansive selection but it had almost all of the staples with options from cheap to fancy. In the past 4-6 months, the prices have increased about 40-60 percent on most items. Selection has diminished as well in that many of the cheaper products just are no longer restocked. The cheapest frozen meal for one we could find the other day, for instance, was an $8 frozen rice bowl. Inflation is a problem, yes, but Heirloom's price increases seem much much worse than say, Sprouts or Trader Joes. It is incredibly frustrating how dramatically and mercilessly they have raised prices. At the same time, there has been a significant worsening in the quality of some items, like the boxed salad. Despite sell-by dates a week out it doesn't last more than a day or two. Disappointing when a 5 oz bag is now $4 or a 16 oz carton is up to $7 or $8.On the plus side, Heirloom remains a convenient place for to buy a six pack or a bottle of wine and their fruit is pretty consistently good. Fancy cheese and ice cream selection remains strong (though not at all cheap) for a small store. We used to shop here for almost all of our groceries. We could sacrifice a slightly higher prices and lower selection for the convenience. But now we universally make the effort to go the distance to Sprouts or TJs; Heirloom just isn't worth it anymore.

This is a wonderfully put together shop in the neighborhood. They pack so much product into their space, but yet it is not confusing or messy. They offer beer and wine choices with even a section that you can sit down in. There even is a place where you can chill your wine while you shop. Their cheese section is wonderful with many choices from around the world. I feel like it is a great place to purchase appetizers and hors d'oeuvres for hosting any party or get together. Some of the food choices were unique in nature which I loved. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They assisted me with buying some fresh flowers upon walking in. I feel like the prices were fair overall. I look forward to visiting the Giant Heirloom Market again in the near future.

Clean, great service, and excellent seasonal selections. Limited inventory but it’s a small city grocery store; don’t expect the world. It’s fabulous for what it is and the smiling faces who greet you by name.

It's a small store with higher prices. A good isle and a half is all alcohol. Upscale selection. I couldn't find doritos.

Minus 1 star for the missing delicious bread. Tight quarters in here, but definitely the best in store shopping experience for groceries in center city. Kudos to giant for adjusting what is stocked to meet the needs of it's shoppers, you can finally get decent seafood here, just not as wide a selection of whole foods unfortunately.

I LOVE this market. It's well stocked with a variety of fresh foods. Not everything is well priced but you are bound to come from here with something.

Overpriced. No cashiers at all. Didn’t even have eggs in stock when I visited. And they have “Sushi Wednesdays” which is $3 off sushi, but only “some” sushi.Nice staff generally, but too expensive in my opinion.

Staff is super friendly and the store is spotless but they're unfortunately usually out of most snacks. Still one of the nicer grocery stores !

Very convenient neighborhood store which is usually stocked well with all the things you need for the week. But I do think that the prices are unusually high compared to other comparable stores.

How exciting to finally have a full-sized supermarket (other than overpriced Whole Foods) within walking distance. The place is fully stocked, clean, and they have a beer and wine section. My only complaint is that when I couldn't find their gluten-free bread (my wife has celiac) I asked three separate employees where I could find it and they looked at me as though I had 3 heads. I get it. It's a new store with all new employees. I should give them a little time to familiarize themselves. That's fine but when I asked them where the gluten-free bread was none of them knew and not a one of them, called someone on the radio or even made an attempt at trying to find it. They just said "No. I have no idea where it is." and walked away.Other than that, the store is great.

I really enjoyed this grocier. Very clean and well-organized. The staff was super friendly. The staff was also knowledgeable about products they did or did not have, and that was great since we recently moved to the area and aren't familiar with many grocery stores. 100% recommend this place. We were in and out very easily. Just as a heads up they only do self checkout, but they have loads of machines.

It's been a short time I have been able to shop at Heirlooms which moved within a block from my home. I love it good. Healthy foods. I have started going to the larger Giant stores. A lot more stock on products inventory. They are further from my home. I am starting to shop there more. So far I am Happy

I barely ever review- but the deli made me do it. The store is fine but the last five times I have been here the deli made me wait at least ten minutes for no reason. The people behind the counter chat away and do not care that people are waiting. Then, they act super annoyed that you ask for help. Also, as a neighborhood store, they make zero effort to accommodate shoppers and always have a ton of boxes in the way making it almost impossible to get through- especially if you have a stroller/child.This is my neighborhood “Boarshead” store so I basically have to come here if I want that from the deli but I always try to go to south street market first.

A little pricey, but worth the extra $ for the convenience and prior to Giant being here, the local family owned grocery stores, were charging even higher retails- likely due to the fact that the community would pay for the convenience. Giant is better priced than those markets but still higher than the “traditional” Giant supermarkets (for the same items) however - produce is always good quality, associates are friendly, store is easy to navigate and it’s like 5 blocks from my apartment! Definitely a welcomed addition to the neighborhood!
