The Dollar Tree store at Penrose Plaza can be a bit of a hit-or-miss experience. Sometimes, it's clean and organized, and other times it looks like a tornado has just swept through.Visiting this store is troubling due to the poorly managed aisles. Instead of being clean and accessible, they are often strewn with merchandise, creating a challenging experience for customers. For wheelchair users, the situation is particularly difficult as boxes and other obstacles may block their path.However, one thing is for sure: you can always find a great variety of items here.One thing to keep in mind is that this store does not have any restrooms, so plan accordingly. Additionally, the SEPTA 36 trolley drops you off right near the store, making it easily accessible by public transportation.

They had every I was looking for but the store is very messy and items are more expensive then a dollar they can pay a night time team to organize and clean the store 😇

Always the best place to go when you have a restricted budget. Usually find 90% of what you need here. Be sure to check out the seasonal items. Friendly associates try to keep store stocked and are available to immediately assist you. Very fast, efficient and friendly checkout values your time. They've updated to include items for $3 and $5 brand names. Still cheaper by far to keep your budget smiling 😁👍.TIP: Store is often unkept but the values help you overlook it. Check Google maps to avoid peak. Be sure to ask for items not stocked as associates constantly stock shelves. Be ready to when you check out, don't hold your place in line then shop for "I Forgots", when in line as the cashier wants to get you out. Keep your wits about you as undesirable people roam these stores. Store is accessable by car, 3 buses (37, 68 & 108) and the 36 trolley.May the Holy Trinity bless you 🙏🙂

Went today 8/21/23 and it was one person on a register with the line all the way to the back of the store. Lazy workers just sit in that booth while one person works.

A little messy but that's because they so have inventory, I went to a different location last week and the shelves were bare considering the dramatic increase in everyday cost of necessities I have to admit it was very refreshing not hearing my card declined at checkout because it's so hard financially just to live. I dont get out to shop much because I'm a single mother of a special needs child not only can I not afford to but also because of the difficulty I have most times I do take her with me so I was scared at check out just waiting for the embarrassing outcome "declined" I was extremely happy the increase at this particular location is only a quarter every item so rather than the dollar ,dollar store where everything is just a dollar I was holding my breathe at check out waiting to find out they tripled prices but no no no, raised only 25cents..AWESOME! Wish I could day that about milk and gas amongst almost everything in retail. I thi k I'm gonna have no choice but to make this store my more frequent shopping location. Hopefully that word I dont care to hear will become less and less. I definitely recommend shopping here rather than over priced merchants.

Elizabeth, the manager, was nothing short of amazing! We are hosting a huge event and I need to shift gears for our gifts for our guest and Elizabeth win in the back walk me around the store and got everything that I needed over 100 and some odd dollars worth and this is where I’ll be shopping for my events this point moving forward she’s the best and deserves a raise!

This is one of the largest Dollar Tree locations that I have shopped. I was able to find the things I needed. This place is a great place to shop on a budget. However, that doesn't mean that other places doesn't have the same items cheaper. It's a matter of research. This place a thing for any body to shop for school supplies, basic toiletries, snacks, food, home items, cat, pets, etc...

I love shopping at dollar tree! They always have what I go there for. And if they don't have it then, which rarely happens. You can be sure it's back in stock when I go back, because the supply trucks always come there. And the store staff is nice. They always assist you, and answer your questions. And the store is conveniently located, right at the SEPTA stop. You can't beat that, or anything about this store. That's why I always go there as part of my shopping trips. 👍💯✔

This dollar tree is very messy, but the staff are very nice. I really strongly hate the mess but they tend to have some many good treasures here. So if you don't my the mess you may fine what you need and more

The Island Avenue Dollar Tree has a huge inventory, however, a lot of it is on the floor or strewn about. The appearance of the store is unacceptable. There is no way the floors are cleaned regularly, because there are boxes all over the place. It is clear, the store is under- staffed.

As an out of towner maybe I'm spoiled. But this store is in deplorable condition. Product is haphazardly puked on shelves and it all feels dirty and old. It makes dollar trees in Virginia look like Macy's.

This store is one of the best I've seen! Well-stocked, clean, organized. I've been shopping here for about 20 years! They have a large assortment of school supplies, crafts, and party supplies, as well as food items and household goods. And yes, it's a dollar store!

As always the store is well stocked but they only allowed me to purchase 4 bottles of bleach instead of a case. Other than that wonderful cashiers and customer service.

Compared to other Dollar Stores - has a refrigerated/frozen section, small inventory of juices/drink selections, products are well organized, wait time in the check-out is hit or miss, and it's located in a shopping center near other stores (notably a Shop Rite).

Dollar tree is a store that everything is a dollar. It has a lot of anything and everything. Items do go pretty quickly there . so, if you see it, you better get it because most likely it will be gone!

THE MESSIEST STORE I'VE EVER BEEN TO! I REFUSE to buy ANYTHING HERE!! Save your time and avoid this store until they get it cleaned up! It looks like a TORNADO went through EVERY AISLE!! AND AND GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A STORE WHO CARES!

This store is gigantic but it's an absolute dirty sloppy mess. It has a lot of things but it's it's the mess in the line and only one cashier in 20 people in line that gets on my nerves

Very poor customer service. Also, I went in for a small container for work that I've previously bought from DT and they had a ton but NONE of them had lids. Not sure how that happens...

Nice store...not many cashiers...however, the ones they have are very efficient with moving the lines quickly.
