This store is never open. They have their hours posted on the front door, which reads 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. However when I stopped by the Gap, Pa location today at 6:00 pm with six other customers, the lights were on and the door was lock. An employee (possibly the manager) opened the door to inform everyone that the store was closed. This is not the first time this has happened. It seems to be an ongoing problem for this location. As I am sitting here writing this review the customers continue to arrive to find the store locked. The store is usually unorganized and not well stocked. Please do better Dollar General!!

I rarely do this, so please make sure whoever reads this that it gets to the proper source. My wife and I just pulled the old typical ccustomer "I'll be quick and started browsing at 8:45pm" thing at 9ur local Dollar General. We have both worked retail before and know what thats like so we tried to hurry but still cut it close. There were two employees on at the time, a woman (i didnt get her name) and Eric. Before this sounds like a complaint, i gotta say, not only were they super nice and engaging, we didnt feel like a burden at all, even though they are almost done working hard on their shift. So much so, we may have even run them after 9. But i dont believe that people go out of their way enough to compliment as much as they negatively attack people with their opinions. So the reason I am writing such an insanely long review here is Eric. I'll be honest. I used to be one of those customers that avoided your store like the plague only because everything in their isnt a dollar. I know...i know....very cliche, but it's the truth. The first time i was helped by Erik, i have gone out of my way to shop at any Dollar General (in particular Paradise) because of his proffesionalism and his eagerness to provide excellent customer service to us. He has had an answer for any question, has never made any mistakes on our behalf and has consistently provided my wife and I with a first rate shopping experience on more than one occasion. I cant spend youre money for you, so me telling you to give him a raise probably isnt going to cut it, but keep your eye on him for future promotion opportunities because he is an employee you cant afford to go unnoticed for too long. All i can say is, from one fish in the ocean, Erik single handedly made your brand a household staple here and we just wanted to make sure his hard work and enthusiasm gets some recognition. Keep up the good work, thank you for your time, and im sure we will see you again.

Large, fairly new Dollar General with row after row of merchandise. Lots of great sales on school supplies and household needs right now. Helpful cashier. Their $5 off coupon ( with a $25+ purchase on the next Saturday) is ALWAYS helpful to your budget. Freezers chuck full of good selections, too. Easy to run up a $25 tab!

Friendly staff as well as upbeat, odd format for issles though all in all if there customers were nicer to there products that they didnt wont id give a thumbs up but that was not the sitch, and they were seriously in need of some restocking thumbs sideways. Always love shopping though.

This store has lots of everything. Large freezer and refrigerated sections with food choices I had no idea DG offered. Also tons of canned food selections. Lots and lots of snack foods, too. Aisles are kind of crowded, making you search and search for things in the aisles all marked "seasonal". Stuff supposedly on sale 50% off was to be marked with green dot..didn't see any such dots. Overall a big store of confusion for me.

Awful store experience. The gentleman who runs the register and stocks shelves has the personality of a rock. Everything is all over the place, it's total chaos inside. Have a Blessed day....

Did not have what I needed, employees made it known they were inconvenienced and never moved a muscle to help me look for one if my items. Was not busy. It's close and can be convenient.

It's a small store, although they just added a refriderated section. As far as Dollar General stores go there are nicer stores, but it's good for a quick stop when you're in a crunch.

Friendly staff. Love how they improved the store. On the negative side, they quit getting Swiss milk! I don't care for the milk they have now.

Great Dollar Store on Route 30 outside Lancaster. An abundance of merchandise & great prices on seasonal items, of course.

Never buy Gain Fabric Softener or anything that isnt sealed. Its all watered down. I think they take half out of bottles and water down.
