Ultimately, this was a very good experience. The store was nice and had good prices. The food was excellent (afternoon tea, meat pies, sausage roll, scones, scotch egg) and was enough to fill all six of us. The folks were friendly too. There were two things that took one star away. First, when we arrived, some of the workers were not entirely friendly, almost like the six of us were a burden. They eventually warmed up to us (or maybe we just caught them at a bad moment?) The other thing was the wait, especially since we had 1:00 reservations, arrived at 12:50, and started getting some of our food at 2:10. To be fair, they DO warn of that in their website and it was lovely to walk around the store while waiting. Still, this could be an area of improvement.

We had an AMAZING Full English breakfast! One of the best black puddings cooked to perfection, well portioned out other ingredients. The portion sizes are smaller than you typically find in England but that's to be expected given the availability of decent ingredients. Chef definitely does it justice! Well worth ordering ahead so everything is cooked to perfection as well. We also appreciated the locally made oat bread to accompany it and ended up buying a loaf afterwards. A great place to support many locals in the community while getting a delicious meal.

Authentic is the first word that comes to mind. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. They've got a great little that features British and Irish foods. They also provide, First Communion products, 70 different kinds of loose tea, Celtic and Catholic jewelry and so much more.Love getting some of the imported snack foods a stocking stuffers during the holidays.

I wanted to like this cafe so bad so I could tell my family from out of town about their afternoon tea and shop but the only friendly person was the man at the front register. Unfriendly is a pleasant way to put the woman who spoke to me about my coffee order. When I asked a question about a latte she shot me a nasty look and copped an attitude and began to speak to me like I was an absolute idiot. She was so unwelcoming I wanted to just say forget the latte and walk out (which btw I was ready to drop more money and order breakfast and eat there but not after that interaction). For a family run business she should be ashamed for speaking to people that way and treating them with such a cold, unwelcoming demeanor. Severely disappointed and would not recommend to go there

They do a delicious fry up (English breakfast). Their sausage rolls are really good too. The shop has a wide variety of British snacks, chocolate, frozen pastries, frozen sausages, crisps, biscuits and lots of different flavoured tea.

Had a wonderful Irish breakfast with a pot of spiced orange tea. Absolutely delicious all around, but the mushrooms in the breakfast were really the star. Bought a couple of ounces of their standard oolong tea to bring home and have been enjoying it immensely everyday since. The gift shop portion of the place has some great imported treats from the UK as well as some beautiful jewelry and handcrafted wood carvings. Will definitely be going back.

The Oxford Hall Celtic Shop and Cafe is the best place to shop for Celtic fashion and jewelry as well as having a wonderful selection of foods and gifts. Have not been to the cafe for awhile but if they still serve scotch eggs - they are the best!! The owners are wonderful and very helpful.

Let me first start off by saying my review is not reflective of our waitress, who was very nice. However the experience itself was awful, started off the meal by being asked how much milk I wanted in my coffee. Most places just bring a thing of creamer, I really don't quite understand that. I ordered a small irish breakfast and scotch eggs, they took the order but failed to tell me that they didn't have them. I ordered a small breakfast to save room for that dish. They also charged my mother almost 10 dollars for a mini scone and one crumpet. We left still hungry to say the least. Not to mention the woman working behind the kitchen counter rudely stared at my mother for the entire meal giving my mom dirty looks, what is your problem exactly? To add through the entire meal a kid screamed and banged his plate, then proceeded to puke everywhere. To sum it up the food sucked, people were obnoxious rude and loud and the staff had zero customer service skills whatsoever. Go somewhere else.

We went to the Celtic Shop in New Cumberland because I love their Irish coffee. They also have expresso, latte, and Irish toddy. While we there picked up Scotch eggs and candy to take home. They had rhubarb ginger turnovers. My wife's favorite. I had sausage roll and it was so good I will order 2 next time. Food is always good and service is excellent. Bought my wife some spectacular earrings to match her new necklace. She was very happy.

Had such a lovely time here! The staff were so kind and the selection is incredible! Picked up some of my favorite Irish treats and had a lovely pot of tea in the café. 10/10! Closest thing to the Isles you’ll get this side of the Atlantic so far :)

Great little Anglo-Irish store in downtown New Cumberland, offering British and Irish groceries, candies, gifts, clothing and has a cafe with coffee, tea, meat pies & sausage rolls. Very friendly owner who gave us a brief history of the area (originally settled by Ulster Irish) and steps being taken to revitalize downtown. Definitely will visit again.

Oxford Hall Celtic Shop and Cafe is a great place to visit. I've been there several times and am never disappointed. Their food is excellent and they also have a nice selection of loose tea. The shop has a variety of small household decorations, clothing, personal care items and more. Much (if not most) of their inventory is imported from Ireland/Europe. I especially like their jewelry and art. I just love this place and highly recommend it!

We LOVE this place! My mother and I ate lunch there. They have traditional Irish food, tea, coffee, foods you can take home, and if you call in thd morning, they will make scotch eggs for you for lunch. They also have merchandise for sale from 🇮🇪 Ireland - sweaters, knick knacks, books, Guinness novelties, cookies...go explore!

An intriguing little shop! Their Cafe is very reasonably priced and the coffee is fantastic. I'm a big fan of foreign snacks and food. Never heard of a scotch egg in my 25 years of life until I tried one the other day here. Will be back for more 110%

Nice place. Very clean. They are way over priced for candies. He claims that's the cheapest he can get. I get them much cheaper elsewhere. They stopped selling potato bread due to spoilage. The issue is his prices. Way over priced. Lovely gifts and clothing. I sound like a parrot but again very over priced.

We can always count on Oxford Hall to have what we need and then lots of other goodies that we just want. They've always had things like Guinness items and First Communion gifts, but for the past few years, they've also really added some great jewelry items, more Irish dance items, and imported woolen items for every budget. We go there quite often!

Came for an afternoon tea date with my husband. The food was delicious and plentiful and there were close to 40 teas to choose from. We went at an of peak time and received lots of personal attention, lending further to the great experience. We will definitely be back many times!

My boyfriend and I went to this store and were very excited, especially because of my celtic heritage. We were very disappointed by the prices and lack of lower priced goods. There was a bit of a question on my mind of whether the prices reflected the cost or if the owners know that people will pay extra for things because they don't know what they're buying. The most disappointing part was the "Cafe". I have worked in food service for years and was alarmed by the cavalier attitude they had about cleanliness and the quality of the food coming out. Overall, probably won't be returning but it was worth the visit.
