We adopted a sweet orange cat named Finch, now renamed Sunny. He is so loving and friendly. The adoption process was quick, and the staff was extremely friendly. I knew that after spending a few minutes with Finch, he would be a great fit for our family. Sunny has acclimated after a few weeks, and we gave him plenty of time to hide and observe our family from a distance. Now he is a full-fledged member of our family. You can tell Finch was very well cared for, and they did a fantastic job taking care of him. Thanks!! We love our sweet Sunny! 🌞

The people at MHS(volunteers) are some or the best people you want to meet at animal shelters. They do what they do out of love and kindness. Sometimes with all the work they have at the shelter, I imagine they are overwhelmed and only seem inattentive.Hope everyone appreciates these volunteers and how hard they work for the animals that they take care of . Maybe tell them you appreciate them the next time you stop at Myerstown Humane Society.

I had to put my dog down a few weeks ago 😭 they offer a cremation service that I had no idea about. It made me wrestling better easier knowing that I could keep my friend with me

I have put in like 3 applications in a span of 5 months. I have gone in and received nothing but judgement. I have 6 kids. Work 3 days a week, own my home. Very stable high income, big house, and nice sized yard. Never received a call back. And the dogs i inquired about, they say would he good with kids and they are still showing as available. They are clearly not in a rush to get these pups in to loving homes. I guess the amount of kids I have intimidates the people working there and they don't think I can handle it. Thus the reason I find them judgemental. Hate to do this, but I'll just buy from a breeder.

Went there Saturday. I honestly don't think they wanna adopt dogs out, the people won't give you any info on the dogs, the volunteers must be swore to silence because anytime you ask them anything they say "you gotta speak to the staff up front." They tell you to come in if your interested in an animal but then only lets you see certain ones. I'm glad I went somewhere else and came home with a new forever friend. I feel bad for the animals they have there, they will be forever stuck in a cage.

4 years ago I had The most difficult decision to make in regards to my pet, but when I left her there, I knew she was in great hands because two weeks after I left her there she was adopted to a very good home. The people there was so supportive and so wonderful. I will never forget their kindness.

Unresponsive to applicants - filled out an application for a dog and never heard back from them. If the dog has been adopted at least tell potential applicants so they know and aren’t wondering if there’s some reason they’re not approved to adopt. They don’t respond to calls or emails but post on Facebook about needing people to foster or adopt. Their poor communication and business practices do a huge disservice to animals.

We love everything they do to help the wonderful animals find loving homes to go to. The employees and volunteers are all friendly and work extremely hard . We use our business Mahoski Gourmet Foods for Fundraising to help the animals and shelter. They have big hearts to help the animals that come to find loving homes.

I don't understand how you expect dogs to get adopted when you decline all applications... three of my family members applied to adopt dogs, and they all got declined. They are all high income and take all of their pets to the vet, so there is no reason why they should have been declined. So instead they all bought from breeders when they would have preferred to adopt. Blame yourself for full shelters.

These guys are ROCK STARS. I'm an OTR semi driver that had a medical emergency and was hospitalized for four days. They was able to taken in and care for my two fur babies until I was released. I can't say Thank You enough. Threw my toughest time you gave me relief. God bless and Lots of Love from Brian, Precious and myself. 💖💖💖💖💖👏👏👏😇😇😇😇

I can't say enough good things about how hard these ladies work to guide both people and animals through chaotic circumstances and constant surprises! Love seeing how much support the community shows them, and even though the cards seem stacked against them sometimes, they keep trying and never give up for animal friends that depend on the help. We've adopted here several times, and will surely continue our support. Thank you, thank you for all your efforts, and all the good you do!! ❤️

**** MUST READ REVIEW ****First of all I am not getting paid to write this review nor do I work there.I located a cat on their website that I was interested in. I called inquiring about it and they told me to fill out an application online which I did.They called me within 3 hours and told me that I was approved. I set up an appointment for a meet and greet two days later. When I arrived I dealt with true professionals and a team that was just incredible. Within 2 minutes they took me back and introduced me to the cat I was interested in and: left me have free time with her in the meet and greet room. I was interested in adopting her so they started the paperwork. In the meantime Debbie the supervisor of the cat area went over all of her records in detail and the shots that she had received while there. She was even fixed and microchipped.Moving on, I signed the paperwork and they gave me a big bag of items that I will need at home when I get home with her. It contained food, toys, a blanket and more. A value of at least $25 possibly more.I was shocked because the fee for adopting her was only $40. Insane, right?I have never seen such a streamlined business in my entire life. The team was a crew of true professionals and the clinic was spic and span. You smelled nothing.In closing I would highly recommend Lebanon county SPCA to anyone looking for a dog or cat. For me it was a wonderful experience.

The staff are always friendly and they really care about their animals. We adopted our bunny about 4 years ago and we just recently adopted a cat. The process is smooth and they seem to be very thorough in making sure the animals get placed in a good home. Would definitely recommend I'd you are looking for a new fur baby, check out what they have available. You might just find your new best friend.

They do an INCREDIBLE job here and deeply care about animals. The facility is clean, and the animals are nurtured and well cared for. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly. They've made tremendous strides in their cat rooms. You owe it to yourself to check it out. The cat colony room is phenomenal! I highly recommend! My family has adopted two loving companions here.

We welcomed a young cat into our lives, at this Humane Society. Although it's sad to see so many cats that do not have a a home at the time we were there, the animals that are there aren't there too long before they're adopted.The shelter was well maintained and kept clean.Kelsy and the others were very caring and conscientious.

The staff are wonderful. They worked with us to make sure the dog we were interested in was a good fit for our family. They made the adoption paperwork and process easy to understand. Several weeks after adopting they helped with finding a way to solve a small issue.

Despite my failure to call ahead and schedule an appointment to drop off a stray they worked with me and still took her. Everyone was friendly and kind. If you're reading this please consider them for any donations/adoptions they definitely deserve it and more so the animals there do as well!

Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. They are open for visitors to browse the animals for adoption. Found their hours to be very convenient too. The two kitties we brought home were seen by a vet on exit, came with microchips, and had been very well taken care of. Reasonable adoption fee. Highly recommend.

Just finished a conversation and was given appointment to bring in sick/injured cat who has tried to take up residence on our porch. She is not aggressive and wants human contact. Received a call almost immediately saying they would not take the cat and my option was to find another place to take her. So much for being able to count on our county humane society when you really need them. They can no longer count on our future financial support. Very disappointing.Follow up to above review. Local vet agreed to see cat. Examined and found to have hard palate abnormality, jaw deformation and soft mass near throat making eating impossible. Cat was humanely euthanized.
