Stopped here many times while biking the Pine Creek Rail Trail. A great stopover for anyone riding the trail. Perfect to pick up some necessities, like ice cream. :D I've done several 50 mile rides for the BSA Cycling merit badge and this is the perfect halfway point when traveling from Wellsboro to Waterville.

Cute little store with unusual snacks and beverages in the cooler, as well as a small selection of sandwiches made to order. No water available - the staff directed us down the hill to a hand pump with a sign that the water is untested.

We rented "the apartment" from them for a fall trip. Great place. Very eclectic. Quiet. Large yard. Water front. Awesome porch. Pet friendly. It was perfect.

My new favorite sandwich shop along the Pine Creek Bike trail. I was coming off a 60 mile ride and my usual shop closed 5 minutes after I arrived. The family at Blackwells saved me - throwing together a sandwich for me even though they were closed. (They also threw in some chips which was super nice.)They've got ice cream plus an assortment of healthy snacks and drinks. The Lenka bars are my favorite. The prices are some of the best in the area and they've got a bunch of unique gifts along including an assortment of new and used books. I got a Smokey Bear shirt for my friends daughter that she really liked. You can sit outside of the shop on their deck or take your sandwich down to the picnic tables.

Run by locals who care—a mother-daughter pair, this small general store is a great trail-side stop. The daughter is a talented photographer whose prints and designs you can buy here and online. They stock products from other local PA operations whenever possible. Lots of trinkets, memorabilia, and homey goods here as well. They serve ice cream, pizza, sandwiches and other food, too. I look forward to visiting this little place again.

Cool people, great ice cream. They rent bikes for the Pine Creek Rail Trail, and tubes for the Pine Creek.

I stopped there on a solo bike ride on the Pine Creek trail on a very cold day in April. The trail was deserted and it was a delight to come upon this place. They made me a warm and delicious sandwich and cleared a table in their bookstore for me to enjoy it and warm up. In addition, there are interesting things to look at while waiting, and they were very friendly..

This sweetly eccentric little spot is right near the beautiful bicycle trail; you can get everything from PA cheese curds, to ice cream, to used books, to coffee. The owners focus on offering local PA souvenirs and PA food, and this dedication to supporting local is excellent. We ordered pizza by the slice (pleasing and hot) and a mug of coffee. They sweetly honored our requests to reduce paper and plastic waste, and brought us our food and drink in pottery plates and mugs. My only little complaint was that my purchase of some white chocolate made-in-PA "stumps" (pretzels with caramel coated in chocolate) had perhaps been on the shelf for a while and were a bit stale, but this did not in the least sully my overall experience and I would eagerly return. Ice cream seems to be the finest offering, with lots of flavors and only $3 for a tall cone.Book shelves are everywhere, and you can buy postcards (the daughter of the owner shoots the photos herself I think), and locally made lavender hand cream, and cured meat sticks made from wild boar.

Perfect General Store in the quaint little village of Blackwell on Pine Creek. The owner is fantastic and they have, arguably, the best ice cream in the valley. You can rent bikes and tubes for floating and get snacks and all sorts of General Store items. Stop by and check it out!

Great little place to stop in. Grabbed a slice of pizza and cup of coffee. Lots of interesting people stop by this oasis in the middle of what is otherwise a remote little town of Blackwell. Interesting selection of books, art, collectibles, not to mention convenience and every day items.

The cutest little country store ever. And what a relief to get to this place after biking the Pine creek trail for 18 miles. Ice cream. Cold drinks. Just what we needed.

When my Emergency Roadside Assistance and even a 911 dispatcher could not find a tow service that would free my SUV from an ice patch up on West Rim Rd, owner Ruth and her daughter Anne stepped in. They called their friend Randy, owner of Broughton's Service Center in Morris, PA, who came out and freed my car. So thankful for their small-town hospitality! They're very knowledgeable about the area and very warm and welcoming. (Hikers/visitors to the area: they have any food, handmade gifts, rental rooms, and anything else you may need for your travels).

I got slightly lost in Tioga County and found this amazing little store. Used books, coffee, amazing hand dyed scarves. I just wish I had more time to spend there that day!

Blackwell is a tiny town and Millers Store has everything you need, and then some. It has a huge variety of books including many iconic classics. They have fresh coffee, icecream, drink mixers and even tree's to plant. They also sell bikes and basic safety equipment. The store is ideally located where the midstate trail intersects Blackwell PA.

A good place to stop and get snacks and food when passing through the Valley on a drive or using the rail trail. Also as a heads up: this is the first chance/ last chance stops before entering or exiting the “official” PA Grand Canyon

I don't like leaving bad reviews... But unfortunately, we were denied service because we were not wearing a mask. My husband and I don't wear them for health reasons. I was excited to find this little spot and was looking forward to checking out their selection of books... I was very disappointed.

Stood in line for about 15 minutes waiting for her to acknowledge us. She helped others, then when we were next she ignored me, glanced away, and went to find the septic guy who has just pulled up. No consideration for customers. We left. At a restaurant in wellsboro the owner said it was propably because we weren't Mennonite. Really? I hope not.

Only place in Blackwell for refreshments so there's that. Not very friendly, mom was downright grumpy and I believe actually snarled at me.
