Updating this review because this was posted 2 years ago but as of today June 17th the manager there is super lazy because I used to work at a Dollar General and I know there's Overstock in the back and I asked if there was any formula in the back and the manager tells me no and I asked wall can you like go in the back and look and she says oh I know there's no formula back there what we get is what we put out like you really couldn't just go in the back just to check to really see if there was none or not like you just know for sure that there isn't any in the back . But as far as a couple of the employees there they're very nice. And when you are working in retail you should always double even triple check to see if a product is in stock in the back.

I was very surprised at their selection of convient grocery products. It's a nice stop for snacks and various supplies. My only complaint is most products without a coupon is very overpriced. Overall I'm very happy they opened a Dollar General here!

I'm quite disgusted with how the store is kept. This has only been here less than 10 years. Great location and parking but the staff is messy, the store is sloppy. I would not be proud to work there. Need to hire better people who dont look like they rolled outta bed threw clothes on and show up. Staff having personal conversations among themselves while customers are waiting in check out. I get aggravated coming here but it's close and convenient. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

This particular Dollar General is huge and has so many nice things in it! I live in Pottsville and I drive here because they have so much more than most dollar store's! The store is always clean and very well stocked! They have plenty of parking also! There's only a couple of problems with this store, one is there's a huge hole in the parking lot when you first cut in and the 2nd issue is there's a group of teenagers who hang out at the front door some sitting on the railing and others standing in the way and they are smoking! The group of teenagers who hang here need to find somewhere else to smoke and go!! They also have very vulgar language that isn't going to be good for business!!

The post from a week ago about the manager (Candace), was a complete fabrication. I am a customer of that location, and was present when the employee was on the telephone. Nothing inappropriate was said or done by the employee on duty. There was absolutely no conversation about ANY type of sexual relations at all. T

It's convenient & reasonable prices but I've been in numerous other Dollar general stores & they have a much bigger & nicer variety of merchandise. I don't understand why this is one doesn't have half the products as other stores.

The manager? (Name was Candace) was extremely rude. I walked into the store to seeing her bent over the counter on the phone yelling. Once I got to the register she was nearby talking to another customer about having sexual relations in the bathroom. Total slob. Won't return here.

D.G is newly remodeled. It's still a work in progress, but the prices are great, the workers friendly and helpful.When it's completely stocked, this place will be great!

Very nice DG. Modern look for small down town city main street with a lot of history and architecture. Prices are good. Store is clean.

Mt carmel store has whole wall of freezer items very clean and well stocked Manager Justin will help you with anything Good Dude. RHONDA IS AWESOME

My bill came out to $14.12, I gave the cashier $15 and said I have 12 cents to make it even( so there wasn't any coin change). She handed me the receipt and I stood there waiting awkwardly waiting for $1 back. The cashier just shut the draw and turned away. I'm not upset about losing a dollar, just amazed by the carelessness and incompetence. Never have good experiences here. Employees always seem inconvenienced by customers and are not pleasant. Only stop here when in a pinch for certain items but after the last few stops I will go out of my way not to. Just a very poorly run store.

They just remodeled this store and added more grocery items. It's a nice convenient place to shop.

Download app use digital coupons saved 40 dollars on 60 dollar purchase nicer than the one in pottsville. Less traffic when you don't want to deal with crowds.

They're just not really experience I mean a lot of the stuff have attitudes and there's like carts and stuff this pile up and just not gone through and as a tripping hazard
