One thing I look forward to summer for is the fairs for hot sausage. Last year we went to the Center County Fair. It was hot and miserable but, I had to have my hot sausage sandwich. I looked at the food trucks to see which I wanted to get my sandwich from. Finally, I found the one!! To my delight there was a fresh cut French Fries truck right next to it!! It was a small young family who ran them both. Very nice people. When I tell you that the sausage I bit into was the best I ever had, I jest you not. I found out talking to them where their sausage came from. Yes, it took me a year to find my way over to Penns Valley Meats (as I am not local) let me tell you I kick myself in the butt for not doing it sooner!! A few weeks ago I went down and got myself hot sausage 10/10. This time when I went I also got their salt and pepper sausage just as yummy. Definitely worth the trip, that is roughly a 7 hour round trip when I go back home.

These hoagie sandwiches are monsters. The Italian is stacked, loaded, dressed, and sauced up with everything you need. Great prices and cold Arizona tea to wash em down. Awesome spot to grab lunch if you're in the area.

Hotdogs made onsite are the BEST! I am bringing 160 hotdogs to family in VA. They ask me to bring them THE GOOD HOTDOGS when I visit so they have them all year.

Best Chuck Roast EVER! My husband absolutely loved this roast and wants to drive 45 minutes for another roast. Tender, tasty, and pulls apart with a fork! Great ham and some rocking good steaks! So worth the drive and fun to grab a coffee next door and roam this quaint small downtown. The owner is awesome too! Support small business.

Best scrapple in the valley. Excellent bologna and smoked cheeses too. We always try to get some dog chews when we go there as a treat for the fur kids. They love the bones and tendons.

We got smoked pork chops,hot sausage,jerky,filled pork chops,hot bologna, sweet bologna,cajun sticks,, sausage,smoked pork chops,jerky, and cajun sticks are awesome will be making stuffed chops tomorrow it was my boyfriends first time there,but i been going there for years he is really impressed and we will be coming back for sure we live in loganton pa i give you two thumbs up

LOVE this place! I am in the area once a year. I only found this joint this year and will be a customer for life! I can honestly say that beyond the nice conversation with one of the owners, I got the BEST steaks of my like! Beyond anything I have ever eaten before. The NY Strips rival the best Filet Mignon anywhere. Like stepping into a time machine and visiting your local butcher. Next year: The $200 box o'meat! Get in my belly!!!!

This unassuming place is a gem. We drove up from Harrisburg for the tri-tip. Yep, smack in the middle of Central PA is a guy who knows what it is and stocks it. Not only that, but his smoked meats and sausages are incredible. Plus all of the PA favorites. C'mon up and stock your freezer!

I drove half an hour to only find out that they do not accept credit and debit cards. So couldn't buy anything. It is really annoying that the business does not accept cards in 2019! Also I noticed that the meat selection is much smaller than I expected.
