Our server Rachel was very friendly, very accommodating & very attentive. Our sandwiches were great & the ice cream was delicious.Parking: There is parking on both sides up & down main street. There is a paid lot behind the Kutztown tavern.Kid-friendliness: The meals are inexpensive, simple & portions are big.

The atmosphere is great and they play great music! However that is where the positive parts stop, I wanted this to be an awesome place but the food is very low quality and sadly the ice cream is too. I hope the owner realizes the potential of this place and is able to invest more into the quality of the food because the concept is great. It was also very expensive for what we spent we could've gone to a nice restaurant. For two adults to get sandwiches and and small sundaes it was $45

I usually like pops but lately they’ve been super inconsistent with scoops. Male cashier questioned if my partner actually wanted a bowl with four scoops, citing that a scoop is “baseball sized” but then put all four scoops in one container - not baseball sized, and then my cone with two scoops was the least ice cream I’ve ever gotten from them, it seemed like half of what they’d usually give per scoop. Absolutely insane after just second guessing an order and giving us an example size. I’m usually not the type to complain, this was just terrible. They apparently need to train their workers better on what a scoop is.

It was like going back in time. It was a fun experience with the kids. This place reminds you of going to the local ice cream shop when you were a kid. If you are looking for something fun to do with your family this is a great place to start your night or even end it. Everyone who was working the night we stopped were very helpful and friendly. They have so many different flavors to choose from and the food was delicious. Plus the price was cheaper than expected for the amount of stuff we got. So if you're in the area please swing because and have a wonderful time.

Im not from Kutztown, but I go to school here and Pops was recommended to me so I went with my partner who came to visit, it was both of our first time there too.its a seat yourself restaurant so me and my partner sat down, but we sat there for like 50 minutes and never got served while there. Very rarely did we see a worker and when we did they stopped by one table by the door to the kitchen. around like 30 minutes in the one waitress asked us if we were taken care of, we replied no, she asked if we needed menus, we said nah we looked online already (since no one talked to us we just looked online), and then she left, heard nothing for like 15-20 more minutes. in that time another group came in and sat behind us, and the waitress gave the check to the other table. then another waitress came out and gave menus to group that came in a few minutes prior, so we just left because it wasn’t worth the wait, especially since my partner had to commute back home. We were really looking forward to the milkshakes and meal tho (the vibes were immaculate though 10/10)

Fine basic burger and ice cream spot. Does not provide attentive table service so if you're picky and looking to be waited on hand and foot this is not for you. The food was good. I had a cheeseburger and french fries and someone else had a chicken and bacon sandwich with Mac and cheese bites both of which they loved. When you come through the entrance, left is ice cream ordering and cash register and to the right is the dining area and unisex bathroom. Straight ahead through the entrance are apartments so the set up is awkward but it works.

Great food, awesome service and the decor of the place is the cherry on top time travel style. Pop's trio sampler was the way to start, the bacon Mac & cheese burger was cooked to perfection and so was the BBQ chicken panini, the milkshake and the orange cream soda float were amazing. So worth the drive and will definitely go back again as the kids and I enjoyed our first visit their. Thanks Pop's 👍

Pops is a true old time malt shop. A throw back to the 1950s.. including the music! Such a charming place. They have so many different flavors its hard to choose. And then they have all kinds of sundaes, shakes and even frozen yogurt!! The workers there are always friendly!! Definitely an ice cream lovers paradise!!

If you go to Pop's malt shoppe you will be given a massive collection of ice cream flavors, foods, and other such options hailing back to the period of fonzie and happy days. A great place to bring those who don't drink, as I myself don't. An always safe date locale. Perogies are always delicious and ice cream is flavorful. Bottled cokes are affordable and a great post exam reward.

Was looking for an ice cream and desert shop like we have back home. I love banna splits the traditional way. This place in Kutztown has been opened for over 20 years. I will be spending more money there. The banana split was delicious.Kid-friendliness: Candy, Ice-cream, and more...

It is a very cute ice cream shop that tucked away in kutztown. Even during lockdown on a sunday the shop is open until 10p. The staff was very nice and speedy, the eat in area looked very on brand for the 50s theme and the road was blocked off for outdoor dining.

Delicious food and great atmosphere! Would absolutely recommend if your looking for a cheap delicious meal with fantastic ice cream! Also both rooms are full of energy and have such a bright nostalgic feel. 10/10 recommend.

It was so gods damned delicious, and it was so clean and bright and looked so nice. I cannot recommend Pop's Malt Shoppe enough, my goodness. Their ice cream is an especial treat that I loved to no end.

Great place! Malt shakes were fantastic as well as food. The shoppe also stays open later than most other restaurants in the area so that is a plus. The staff were very friendly and made us feel comfortable.

Found this place when exploring Kutztown as we were getting to move there. Immediately we found it very inviting and, more importantly, the ice cream was very good and the service from the kids working there was great. We now make this a frequent stop during the week at least once to grab some ice cream or a milkshake for later. Food isn't so bad either.
