Thanks to the staff for their friendly demeanor and helpful tips!This place had everything I wanted but couldn't get at big box stores - milkweed, reblooming lilacs, weather tolerant lavender, and other low maintenance perennials. Nice nursery with some cute pastel colored , flower hot houses to visit and get some exercise walking to each section with some hills. There are plenty of carts to haul your plant choices back to pay. Healthy plants and many are unique that you don’t see elsewhere. Nice friendly owners, and employees. They researched Mexican Hat plant for me and told me which area and shelf to find it .I will definitely visit again.

I think Groffs is wonderful for both the amateur and master gardener. The staff is kind and super helpful. And I always find one new veggie to try to grow. This year, it's artichokes! And don't forget about Zeke, their super sweet old pup. He rounds out the family atmosphere and love. You will need a strong person to pull the cart around as it will be full in no time!

Great nursery. The plants are well laid out and usually easy to find. They have an excellent selection of native plants. The staff is mostly knowledgeable and some are excellent. Go with a list or you'll end up with more than you expected!

Lots of great healthy plants. Gravel paths and parking lots would make wheelchair access difficult, but not impossible. Found what I wanted here, when I couldn't find it in other places. Large, deep wagons for shopping with.

Fantastic selection of sun and shade perennials. Lots of things you can't find at other places. Many native plants. If you like Proven Winners plants, Groff's has them too! You'll also find a very nice selection of shrubs, ornamental grasses, succulents, and vegetable plants. I am always pleased with the health and size of the plants. Prices are very reasonable. Many perennials are also sold in smaller pots for half the price. Return customer!

This is the best 'general purpose' PLANT NURSERY (as opposed to "Garden Center") in the Mid-Atlantic region. Don't come here to buy candles, tiki lamps, or big bags of fertilizer - which your lawn probably doesn't need anyhow. DO come here for a incredibly vast selection of everything besides trees. For which their selection is merely "pretty good". They carry flowering trees like Magnolias, but not big shade trees that are more the stock & trade of those garden centers I mentioned. There prices have gone up a bit but are still super reasonable. They carried, for example, a fancy tree peony for only $35: one the cheapest online source, a nursery with a dubious reputation anyhow, wanted $50 for, and some wanted $100 or more. The owners and staff love plants and love what they do and it shows.

Wow! As a professed plant nut and nerd, I LOVE Groffs! Im so glad we passed this place on our way to somewhere else. And even happier we stopped. I was blown away by the selection and variety. An amazing collection of perineals and annuals, and so many local natives. I normally would not drive all the way from Philly for a nursery, but I know for sure I will end up out here again in spring. And the prices are quite reasonable. Go. Just go!Not a place for houseplants, succulents, or cacti, unless they can live outside (had a good variety of stonecrop and hen-n-chicks).

Somewhat late to buying plants for this year so I traveled to Groffs from Philly because I was told that they have a great variety of annuals and the prices were reasonable. Prices weren't as low as expected, only about $.30 per 4" pot and no more than $1 per larger​ pots less than the big box store nurseries. Went and purchased $300 worth only to get home and noticed a few had some form of powdery mildew. No biggie. Just sprayed them and removed the infected foliage and all is good. They are the healthiest plants in my garden by far.

I raise butterflies for conservation and can always trust that the host plants (needed to feed the caterpillars) are not sprayed with anything that leaves a residue. With our pollinators declining, it's nice to see this nursery using safer methods and their plants still look amazing! I will always turn to Groffs every year for my host plants. I cannot speak to the other plants in their nursery.. am waiting on a call back from a staff member about the sprays used on flowering plants but I doubt they would use anything with a long life/residue.

Outstanding nursery with incredible selection. We were able to find several perennial varieties that we could not find elsewhere. Prices are as low as you're going to find anywhere in the region. Cash only - so come prepared.

i have been going to Groff's for 4 years, even though it is an hour's drive from my home. The plants are in excellent condition, there is an unbelievable variety, and the prices are lower than anywhere else. The people who work there are very knowledgable and helpful. Remember, no credit cards, only cash or check.
