I went to buy a fish the other day. I had the pleasure of dealing with Anthony. He was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to fish care. I have been in the hobby for many years and was very impressed with his vast knowledge of this great hobby. He knew everything from fish compatibility, coral care and water parameters. I was very impressed. And would highly suggest this location for your aquatic needs!

Anthony, the aquatic specialist told me to purchase two fish who would NEVER be ideal together. I took them home and they killed each other. Anthony has ZERO knowledge of fish and should be fired.

have good experiences when picking up orders (except one time I had to cancel because I can't lift over a certain weight because of a medical condition and the employee was very rude), can't afford to buy a bird there or I would.Love running into dogs walking around and saying hi 👋 to them

Went to look at birds, was interested in adding to the family. Went to ask about the Mexican conure an we weren't allowed to hold, touch or interact with him other than through glass. They must not know that every bird has their own personality and it's not always all about the price tag. If I'm putting over 1300 dollars on a bird I want to atleast get a feel of his/her personality.

My dog had a very bad experience at the johnstown petco. First the workers were told that he is a high anxiety dog. The worker claimed he nipped at her my dog is afraid of a leaf blowing down the street, then instead of taking their time drying him the put him in a crate. They put a dog thats never been in a crate with hig anxiety. They just lost a customer who spends atleast a 100.00 dollars every other week there. I will never use petco again for grooming my special dog.

The Petco crew was so understanding as we dashed in 15 minutes before close. We knew exactly what we were getting and they were still so kind. Clean store. Well stocked. We have the vital care so it saves a bunch of money every month for food and litter. Shoutout to Dave and Mike for being awesome employees!!!!

I am SO upset right now. I was at the Johnstown location yesterday evening and had the worst experience ever. I brought in my pitbull Carlos to get him a new toy (he destroys all of them) and was helped by an older woman... I think her name may have been Wendy. She was incredibly rude to me and kept looking at my dog and rolling her eyes. She kept saying that my dog was out of control if he destroys toys like that and kept scoffing as if she was disgusted by him! I finally looked at her and said "I think I know what I'm going to get him, thanks for your help." and she scoffed AGAIN, and stomped away! I could not believe how rude and inconsiderate she was. Carlos is the sweetest dog I have ever owned, and if I wasn't as mature as I am I would have REAMED this lady out! DON'T TAKE YOUR PITBULLS HERE BECAUSE TO THEM THEY'RE SECOND CLASS DOGS! I'LL NEVER GIVE PETCO MY BUSINESS AGAIN!

We bought this cute little fish for our tank. The staff was well versed in what to feed it and how to take care of it. It's an algae eater but we all know that it takes time to build up algae in a tank, so there is special food to feed them in case you don't have enough natural buildup.

Was Okay, I was looking for a Birthday cookie for my dog - and there was one left, broken and cracked in a few places, so I asked if the cookie could be discounted since it was the last one. The manager after thinking about it said she could only do 10%. Needless to say I did Not purchase it for just 10 percent off. There was no way someone else was going to buy it broken like that, so I thought they would at least want to sell it for like 30 - 50 percent off, BUT they didn't. Oh well

Both Carly and my former groomer, Polly, provided excellent service. They love on my doggies like they’re their own. This place is clean and you can see how well the pets are cared for while they are there. Also it’s usually pretty quick from start to finish so no unnecessary stress on your pet.

Very knowledgeable about the guinea pig we bought. The salesperson was helpful and answered all of our questions. My son is very happy with his new pet!!

It's a nice place to find things for your pets. Very large selection of pet products. I was there to get something for my kitten. The only downside of this place is that you will most likely pay more for your merchandise than other places, plus they charge 10 cents per plastic bag. My advice to them, stop charging for bags. It could cost you more down the road with loss of future customers.

Very busy in the store , not many very knowledgeable employees. Drove all the way there bc my fish are dying and they didn’t even have the remedy to fix my tanks water issue. None in stock and nothing else recommended. Pretty disappointed
