We stayed as an extended family and had 8 cabins and and RV rented. We got there Sunday afternoon and stayed until Wednesday morning. It was very quiet as there were very few other campers (in our area of the park at least). Our teenagers enjoyed the horse shoe pit and volley ball one evening. The pool at the camp store was nice. There is a nice place to keep boats in a sheltered shed while staying here.A number of the cabins have been there for quite a while and need to be re-leveled (I deliver sheds and noticed this first thing!) and have siding repaired. The camp sits on the side of a pretty steep hill, and the gravel roads have quite some ruts washed into them. My brother-in-law's full-size van with skirting was almost dragging on a lot of the driveways.Nearby activities: Raystown Lake is very close and there's a boat launch and beach within a mile or two of the entrance of the campsite. Gas stations within 5 miles for refueling your boats and vehicles.

Wonderful friendly place. Have only visited friends who have a site. They have had it for at least 7 years. I have never met an unfriendly camper. They do have some folks who like to party so keep that in mind. The pool is always clean. The bathrooms are also cleaned daily. There is one building which has rooms that have a combo shower/ bathroom which are really nice and have a decent size changing space. They also have onsite laundry. They have a 4th of July party every year with food, music, games, prizes, etc. Free movie nights outdoors with a projector and screen on a covered patio space. Mini golf, ice cream, small convenience store, basketball court, volleyball net in a grassy area, playground. Cell reception is bad but they have free wifi by the pool/gameroom. Plus it's close to so many Raystown Lake destinations without the cost. They have a few tent sites which are well maintained and cabins. In the past they have had a camper or two which can be rented also. They are pet friendly.

The cabins were clean and very nice for what you pay. The boat parking area helps when you want to go out and visit the local State Forest. Mini-golf at the campground was well built and entertaining even for adults. We didn't get a chance to try the pool, but it looked clean. Campground staff were very helpful and kind. This campground is about 5 minutes away from the marina/public beach which is perfect. We will return for sure.

It’s a hidden gem, perfect for a family wanting a quiet break on a budget. It has two small play parks, an honesty shop and the use of a free fire pit with the wood reasonably priced. The veiws of the countryside are amazing and the owner was so friendly, nothing seemed like too much trouble for her. She couldn’t be more accommodating!! I just wish we lived nearer as this would become our regular campsite.

I love this campground. Everyone has always been very friendly with me and they keep a very nice and clean campground. You get a lot of bang for your buck so to speak with this place, as their restrooms are modern and clean. I've stayed at another lodge closer to the 7 Points arena and the water smelled like rotten eggs, but this place there's no odd smell to their water system. Their cabins are rustic and adorable and they have cable tv. That helps with bored kids on a rainy day sometimes. The pool is awesome, their general store has a good variety of needs as well as souvenirs, and the pricing is really affordable. I always suggest this place to friends and acquaintances when I know they're headed up to Raystown. I have nothing bad to say about this place!

Friendly staff, great prices and general cleanliness of facilities. Only reason I took off one star was because cabin smelled musty when we got there. Mattresses should be exchanged out with non mildew mattresses. Smelled a little better after we cleaned the ac filter.

Great place! Huge lake and parks nearby. The camp ground itself had a small pool, playground and mini golf. There's free WiFi but you'll only get a signal by the office. Small bathrooms with a shower and hot water. Mostly permanent camper/trailer spots but there are a few cabins and tent spots (our tent spot was private and $25 per night). All in all, I recommend it.

I will not be back. The Pros: Quiet, friendly staff, close to the lake and very nice camp store. The Cons: Nothing is level except the pads the campers sit on. Beware the sections along the main road. The owners allow boaters to park trailers along the roadway and it makes it difficult to navigate with a large combination in an already challenging roadway. Turning around is very challenging because it is on a hill and the owners did not make much room to maneuver. The camp store seem to be only open on the weekend when we were there. I do not know when it is open during the week. The store hours are not posted on the door. There is almost no cell service. The Wi-Fi worked fine close to the camp store only. On the weekend when the campground was full it dropped often.

Had a nice time with the family in a decent upgraded cabin. Thought the individual bathrooms were a great idea (on the cabin side). Saw four individual units on the cabin side each with toliet, shower and sink. The Cabin was clean when we arrived. It had a handmade table with four chairs, tv, coffee pot, mini fridge and two queen bed/ futon sofa. Fire wood available for three dollars - used the fire ring for a camp fire. Picnic table and chairs also were handy. Used the water access on the side of the cabin a few times. Watch driving around in the dark- could be hard to see some of the road areas/steeper sections of the camp ground. Looks like a fun place in the summer time especially for kids. Saw a game room, pool, mini golf and a catch and release pond. Reservation by phone only. Easy to find ..right off 944.

What a find. We stayed in one of their newest RV's. The site was close to everything. The only problem we had was the beds were too hard. Next time well bring padding. The neighbors were very friendly. We can't wait to go back.

If you have a camper/hardshell with a bathroom, this place would be better. However, if you are tent camping, pick somewhere else... We were on site T3 which was at the far edge of camp beyond some boat storage and beside the highway. For something as simple as water it required a hike to the bathroom. This required that we hop in our car and carefully drive the horrendous roads that are in need of some serious tlc, and extremely hilly... The bathrooms were a double-edged sword. Although nicer and having a single stall with bathroom and shower, there are only 8 available to campers not in a cabin. In our crew of 18, that quickly became a struggle. That all said, the staff was nice and helpful in recommending a great nearby restaurant, happy hollow.

Refrigerator didn't really work, staff was no where to be found. We checked in on a Sunday, the office wasn't open at all Monday through Thursday. The fire wood was damp, the ceiling in the cabin had cobwebs and dead moths and mosquitoes. Seen a very giant spider crawl out of a crack in the one wall of the cabin that Thursday evening, so we thought were done, and we packed up and left early. Poor management with no one around like the website says, "office open from 9-4 daily" thats false information. Will not be back. Location is good, bath house somewhat clean.

Great bargain park. Have cabins and camper rentals and perment camper sites. Showers bathrooms near by. Has a camp store that has essentials and firewood for sale. 15 peices for 2 dollars! Also mini golf, swimming pool, and parks. Only down fall is the camp ground goes up a mtn and some parts of it is very rugged. Tatman beach and boat launch is few minutes down the road and is a newer built park on raytown lake. I over all love the bargain here and its very quite for it size. Most time we have the pool to our selves. Could use an update but thats why its a bargian i guess.

Nice secluded camp ground tucked away from all of the hustle of raystown lake. The spots are nice and shady with a short walking distance to the store that sells ice cream and the nice kept after pool. we will be back...

Great campground. Great people. Its our "reset button". If youre looking for a caampground, give this a serious consideration. Its not cheap, but theres a reason for that. Worth the extra few bucks. Peace of mind is a beautiful thing.
