Aggressive closing tactics. Lock doors way before closing time. Will remind you in person multiple times that the store is closing, even if you are well aware of closing time. Will chase you out of the store if you are shopping even ten minutes before closing. Couldn’t even stop in the store to grab a few pieces of fruit for my daughter’s lunch eight minutes before they closed.

$50 for a pan of Mac and Cheese and it was ice cold. You’d think for that kind of money they’d at least heat it for you. When I called to inform the manager he offered to put the money back onto my advantage card as a gift card which was a nice gesture however it never happened. Overpriced everything and they make a killing so why would they care otherwise.

Very slow at the lanes, team throughout the store is not engaging in the slightest, and to top it all off, their prices are terrible. They were expensive before inflation, now it's a joke. Not even close to competitive with Walmart. I've heard their new CEO is going to work to drop prices, and hopefully he works fast.

This store is awful, I'm amazed people keep shopping here. The employees are the only redeeming quality. Every time I shop here, the food is moldy and the lines are incredibly long. This is something I would expect of a budget supermarket but it's actually overpriced. To all giant eagle shoppers, did you know, you can go to Walmart, save money, not wait in line, and as a bonus, the food doesn't have mold. Maybe I'm just spoiled by other grocery stores and this is normal.

I always shop your store & expect good products. I bought a big bag of Macintosh apples for $4.99. Got them home & most had spoiled spots on them. Also they were soft, not crunchy. Apparently they were old. Don't put bad produce out for your customers.

This is specifically for their "hot food" section. Picked 3 different plates and they were all awful. Chicken like rubber. I'm impressed by how dry the rice was I doubt they cooked it, the noodles were mostly cabbage and has enough salt to send you to the ER. I really don't have high expectations picking prepared food from a supermarket but this was trash.

Used Giant Eagle to send my Grandmother a Birthday care package (I live 4 hours away). They're floral, Bakery, and delivery team did such a wonderful job that I had to call to praise this store! Thank you for helping me make her 82nd trip around the sun special!

Pronounced Gian Iggle, also known as the Dirty Bird. Everyone who lives in the area shops here at some point. Prices are okay, not as low as some places, not as high as others. Sales are usually pretty good though. If you are looking for a job, they have good benefits and are unionized.

We were just looking for a floral arrangement for a birthday celebration. The Irwin Giant Eagle has a wonderful selection of cut florals. The staff were attentive and friendly.

If you're looking for a great place to purchase craft beers, I highly recommend this Giant Eagle. Ask for Cindy. She's wonderful!!! Very knowledgeable about different beers and does a great job getting in a wide variety.

The WORST Giant Eagle store ever. Corporate Giant Eagle should be aware of the LEGAL LIABILITY issues that the INCOMPETENT store manager, supervisors and line staff exposed Giant Eagle to by NOT providing necessary employment law training for ALL of their employees. Especially DISABLED customers BEWARE. Take your money to Walmart or Target for better CUSTOMER SERVICE and PRICES. 👎👎👎

This is so disrespectful to me as a customer and person. I came in yesterday morning to do a little shopping, and it's packed with people and employees. My husband, daughter, and myself were trying to be respectful of other people as we made our way. We went down an aisle that had 3 different employees with 3 big carts in a kind of circle and we were behind someone and in front of someone we were not able to go anywhere but back or stand in front of the employees, so I make eye contact with two of them to which I get a really nasty look and moved stance that told me she will not move and pretty much "tough luck" so.... I said here I will move this way if you guys could move with me so we can fix this. " ....I am flabbergasted at the brazen and abrubt rudeness by the woman in the pic. She was so not acting like she cares for the company... you smile and try to rectify the situation to make everyone happily comply to get the situation handled. Your employees need to have more respect for the company they are getting paid to represent. Thank you(Dark brown hair)

Heather at the Bakery was very nice and helpful. Carrot cake we had was delicious. And they made special attention to spell my boyfriend's name correctly on the cake. He has a slightly unique name. Good job folks!!!

Too expensive!Good clean store but watch out for their sale advertising "scams". They always have sales signs in the stores around similar products that aren't actually on sale. For example, a sales sign near a soda display in the front of the store and none of the sodas behind it are the right brand. Also saw a sale for apples and none of the apples of that brand could be found in the sales display. Saw it a again with a sale on seedless grapes and all of the grapes in the display were seeded. Also bring your calculator because unit prices between brands are usually marked by different units of measurement.Update: Changing it to a 1 star. Obviously relabeled a pack of chicken breast. Noticed the smell of rotting meat in the cart and put it back. For double the going price of chicken, you would think the quality would be there at the very least.

Why is this the only giant eagle in the area that doesn't have baskets? Pandemic happend and they got rid of them all. Sorry, if you need a half gallon of milk and 2 cans of anything now you need an entire cart. This place blows, off to shop n save it is.

I was attending a family reunion in Pittsburgh last Saturday. I got a birthday cake, and the lady at the bakery was so nice. The lady who helped me self check out was super helpful, and even helped me assign points to my cousin. I came back later in the day to purchase flowers and a bottle of wine. Again, the lady at the flower counter was wonderful.However, I have to report Janet in your wine department. I am 70 years old and I certainly do not look too young to buy wine. Janet asked for my driver’s license and said it’s expired. I said not according to Ohio (where I live) and I produced the other document from Ohio’s BMV to verify that. Janet immediately began loudly lecturing me in front of other customers saying we have rules and regulations in Pennsylvania, and we require a valid PLASTIC license.I was so embarrassed. I called my son who was in the car, and asked him to come in as I knew his plastic license was “up to date”. When he got there, Janet began berating me again (in front of customers) demanding to know who this man was and how he knew me. My son identified himself as my son, but by then I had had enough. I told Janet she was one of the rudest people I’ve ever seen and she knew nothing about customer service. She then AGAIN went into a tirade about Pennsylvania’s rules and regulations”.We left, and went to the wine and spirit shop in a close shopping center. They didn’t even ask for my DL!Janet looked older than me, but no one should treat customers the way she treated us. I wanted the store to know about this experience. I bet I’m not the only person lectured and publicly embarrassed by Janet.

Store is ok, however when ordering from curbside especially for delivery, its late more times than not and no one will call you to inform you they are running behind, you have to go find your own groceries.

Excellent experience 2 days before Christmas in extremely cold weather. I would especially like to commend the young lady at the cheese counter. She helped me search for the cheese I was looking for and made other recommendations and found those for me. Absolutely wonderful! Workers at checkout. No long lines despite the store being quite crowded. Courteous checkout.

Edited (20-Nov-23) Flower display causes a bottleneck going in and coming out of the store. Great beer selection and lady who stocks it is friendly and helpful. Personal shoppers, or whatever they're called, take up a LOT of space in the narrow aisles - especially when it's packed during Noon-1pm.

Their order pickup is great. They communicate very well and try to find substitutes that are acceptable to what you wanted. Nice that it can be picked up early if ready. Their pharmacy is also great. Filled quickly and when something needs ordered the pharmacist calls and let you know.

I like the variety of items they stock. I also use their pharmacy for all our meds. The Ace Hardware inside the store makes a convenient option when you don't wanna drive to Home Depot. GE prices aren't usually the best. Starting to only have a few of the items listed in their sale ad - just like Shop n Save. So if you're not the 1st person in the door on the 1st day of the sale you're SOL.
