Brought our little babies home and they are doing great! They love each other so much and really love snuggling with my kids. Thank you Steve and Cindy and all the staff for caring for these kitties until they make it to their forever home. We are so grateful!

This store is fabulous! There is apparently new ownership, for the better. I would certainly rather go here than a corporate pet store for crickets for my bearded dragon.. among other things. Also, out of all the pet shops in our area, this one is the nicest hands down.

I purchased a kitten from this store for my son on Friday 8/4/17. While in the store, I noticed that there were several kittens, one that was in the cage with the kitten that I purchase, looked to have some type of issues with their eyes. When I questioned what the issue was I was told that the one in the cage has an eye infection that is being treated with eye drops. I immediately questioned if it was contagious considering the older cat in another cage looked to have the same issue but more severe. I was informed that the older cat needed surgery to have its eye removed and it was not the same thing that the smaller kitten had. Due to my suspicion, I took pictures with my phone of the two cats just in case. When I surprised my 9 year old son with kitten, he was ecstatic. By day number two, I noticed that my kitten’s eye was full of puss and he could barely open it. I gave it a couple days to wear off, but it never did. Tuesday 8/8/17 I returned to the store with my kitten to advise them of the situation. They two woman stated that this is a common time for cats to have eye infections and advised me to used warm compresses and gave me drops to use three times a day for three days and stated to follow up with them if there was an issue. I noticed when giving my kitten the drops, the eye would clear up temporarily, but within a couple hours would return to it almost closed puss filled state. By Saturday 8/12/17, my kittens eye was completely shut to the point that I was not even able to give him the drops. On Sunday 8/13/17, I returned to the store with my kitten advising them of the problem. I was told that I can return to kitten and even though I was told that the kitten would not have this issue, I would not get my money back. I requested a manager and was told he was not available until the following day. I forwarded all of the information to my lawyer who advised me to take additional pictures of the remaining cats for sale with the same problem and he will be following up with the store. In the mean time I have contacted channel 3,6,10 and fox news to report this store for selling unhealthy animals without advising the buyer. I will be meeting with them all this week presenting them with the photos in hopes that this store gets shut down. I am also reporting them to the better business bureau, shared all of their negative reviews, and plan on starting a petition ASAP against the store which will also be shared on social media (more details to follow). I believe there were aware of the infection prior to selling me the kitten and issued its drops regularly so that it would look healthy long enough to get a sale. I probably should have read all of the negative reviews before purchasing from this store, maybe I would have not been scammed, but I will make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

They are one of the only remaining animal shops aside from the large stores like Petco or Pet Smart. It's a shame b/c there aren't many places to go and just pick up a kitten or puppy and play around with them. Now everything is adoption processes, which are good, but if you just want to get a new pet, you have to go through all this paperwork and other nonsense.

This pet store is under new management and has been making many positive changes to enhance services, supplies and has worked diligently to ensure quality, care and service to all its customers. The pets are well cared for, food/water is in the cages, the cages are clean, and if necessary, medical care is provided for the pets. It is a shame that a disgruntled ex-employee would make such accusations when it is very obvious that the statements are untrue. Take the time to stop in for yourself, and see that the store has been greatly improved with the new management, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The store has a wonderful supply of food, toys, etc. for all your pet(s) needs. It is a private, locally owned business and the service is far better then any big corporate chain store that you may support. Support your local businesses and ignore statements from disgruntled ex-employees! Don't forget to bring your pet with you when you go shopping!

Please do not support this establishment! My son purchased a puppy from them and they knew he was sick with Parvo. They will not do anything to assist with the treatment of the puppy. They claim you must contact the place where they got the dogs - the only thing they give you is an email address. We purchased the puppy from Arts and they take 0 responsibility- they have no problem taking your money!

Art's used to sell puppies but the last few times I've been in, they didn't have them. I see the store has rearranged their setup and now functions as supplies mostly (not a standard retail setup so don't expect pretty). There is a sign indicating they sell nightcrawlers and bait. I have a boa and we get live feeder rats from here (our constrictor will NOT eat fresh-frozen so we have to have live). The medium and large rats are actually decent sized. They have lots of pet food for domestic and exotic animals as well. I recommend them for folks who need a supply place for pet foods and such.

Bought every single pet and feeder I've owned from here since I found out Steve took over the place. Tanks, equipment, you name it.Zero issues. I have adult fish at home. Buy three dozen goldfish and two die on the way home? Bring back the receipt and tell them. They give me two extra the next time in. Goldfish die. Much better than the day they ran out and I ended up at PETCO and 33 of 36 died and I got nothing back.Lizards, cichlids, other type of fish. All good. Our neighbor has adopted three dogs there. Other neighbor one cat.Kids love it there. They always want to feed the fish or see the bulldog.

Seriously, how many of these reviews are fake? "Danny needs to wear appropriate attire?" He wears Eagles and Grateful Dead shirts 99% of the time I'm in there. It's a neighborhood pet store, not Petco. By the way, they know nothing about pets at Petco, which is why you're at Art's. The "owner" did this and that. BS. Steve is the owner. I've known him since he worked at another pet shop where he left because it wasn't up to par. This guy basically gave up his own store and let some other idiot have it (who has been busted and had his stores shut down, a place where you idiots all shopped) out of care for his reputation. Do they always have what I need? No, it's a neighborhood pet store. Will they order ANYTHING I need immediately if asked? Yes. Are their prices better than anywhere else? Yup. Are they friendly? Yes. I guess Danny should apologize he's not wearing a tuxedo. I'll have Men's Wearhouse fit him for one, because you know, you better look your best while cleaning dog feces out of crates, selling bloodworms to fishermen and serving people crickets. Only thing I can complain about is their phones never work for me, but they work for everyone else. It's an evil conspiracy. I blame them and I'm suing them. Time to call Pond Lehocky.

Love this place. It's a small, independently owned shop, but one of the very few local brick and mortar locations where I can find Taste of the Wild. Very reasonably priced, and although they're relatively small, I've never walked in and not found what I was looking for.

This place has really gone downhill since the change in ownership. I went in one day asking about a snake, and the guy I was talking to had nothing but non-commital half answers for me. Also went there twice to get a dog license, and both times they were out. This place was great when Art owned it, but I have yet to have a good experience there since.

I've been to this pet store a handful of times. Everytime I go in there's an overwhelming smell of urine. There is a wide variety of exotic animals in the store (skinks, snakes, tortoises, etc.). However, there are animals such as guinea pigs and rabbits that are housed together. Those two species should not be housed together due to the possibility of diseases being spread. If you walk into the back area where all of the fish tanks are, more than half of the fish are either ill or deceased. Arts also sells dogs and cats that are kept in pens that are way too small for the animals and their cages are generally covered in feces. I know it's a local pet store and we should support local businesses, but I will not support an establishment that has urine stains all over the carpet that no one bothered to clean up. I generally don't believe that the owner of the store cares about the well being of the animals and just wants the store for a quick profit.

Don't buy a dog from these scum bags. They sold me a puppy they knew was sick and didn't help me at all. The dog died and they accepted zero responsibility even though the other puppies there had the same disease parvo which is highly contagious and deadly.

They sold my friend a sick baby bunny that died within 24 hrs after she bought it and was charged a pricey amount for a bunny. More than likely took the bunny from it's mother too early or a victim of a breeders selfish greed. Adopt don't BUY from Pet stores!

will no longer support this store!! Went to buy a kitten told me most of them are adopted but then went on to tell me after I asked can I put money on one he told me no 🤔 didn’t make any sense!!! Meanwhile when I got a bunny there and asked to hold it they had no problem.. second time in a week I asked about the kittens and got rude reply’s or half ass. Thought this was a business. Horrible service

Since New Ownership, I will not shop anywhere else for my pets needs.. You will rarely find an owner of a pet supply facility that actually cares about the animals and their souls... This is something to value in a world where ppl often feel as though animals are easily replaced and don't "feel" anything.... Highly Recommended!!!! ~Tracie
