The cleaning and repair didn't take long, and when I was reunited with my ring, I was in awe of how beautifully it was restored. It brought back all the warm feelings from my proposal! Can not speak highly enough about Sonia and Pam at best jewelers! My first experience Sonia fixed a broken chain on the spot at a very reasonable price. I then came in to purchase a new chain, they truly care about their customers getting the best service, highest quality jewelry at the best price. They were very patient and helpful! This was hands down the best experience I have ever had with a jeweler! The owner Sonia personally took care of me and made the experience of finding the perfect engagement ring hassle free. Their workers were so knowledgeable and informative throughout the entire process. On top of it, their prices blew out any of the competitors that I looked at!My fiancé absolutely loved her engagement ring and we could not be happier with how it came out!

Best Jewelers went above and beyond to restore my earrings ! From the moment I entered the store I felt welcomed! They are so friendly and caring! I have had these earrings for over twenty years, the name plates were off and scratched, there was holes in the gold, and they needed to be reshaped and cleaned. It was two days before my birthday and they said they would do everything they could to have them back to me ! They did ! It took me this long to attempt to fix them because I have not came across a place that I felt I could trust any of my old pieces with ! I don’t want to feel rushed or inconvenienced by asking questions about what I would like done! Here at Best jewelers, I felt that compassion and love for what they do ! They exceeded my expectations. I went to Best jewelers looking for a gold cross and chain for my 1st grandchild's upcoming baptism. The first thing you'll notice here is that, even if there are other people in the store, they make you feel like you are the only one. The customer service is incredible! They listened to what I wanted and needed and presented me with a ton of options! The owner took the time to explain every detail to me, she even took photos of different chains and crosses together for me to compare.When you're here you don't feel like anyone is trying to rip you off or get the most money from you they can, they genuinely want to give you what you want. My Grandson Arthur ended up with a beautiful gold cross and chain that will mean so much to him growing up, as it was for his special day!I highly recommend Best jewelers, I'll definitely be back!

I took my necklace in to have my chain repaired and they completely ruined my necklace. The necklace was admittedly an older piece given to me by a relative 15+ years ago. I told them how important this necklace was to me and was encouraged to purchase a new chain to put on the necklace. I put down a cash deposit and left the necklace with them on 4/14/2022. I was told that my necklace would be ready by the following Saturday, which was 4/16/22. I never received a call but I didn’t make a big stink because it was Easter weekend and I figured there could be a delay. I called the following Tuesday to follow up because I had not heard back and I was told that they would call me back; which they did that same day. I was told that there were some people out because of the holiday and there were some “issues” with the necklaces, but there was no specification on what said issues were. I figured it would be a small issue because they were only changing the chain and “cleaning it up”. I admittedly also didn’t ask what the issues were. I was told that the necklace would be ready the following Friday and I could come pick it up and I was told to bring cash. I waited again the additional days and again no call. I called a 2nd time and was told that the necklace was still not ready but that they would call me. For the 3rd time, I called and was told, Oh, we didn’t call? I’m so sorry. Your necklace is ready to be picked up.” We agreed for a Friday pickup. Today I go to pick my necklace up and that basically buffed the finish off my necklace. The finish is very lumpy and inconsistent. And the necklace has a slight dip in the middle where you can tell it was snapped in half. The response was that it was “superficial” and that they could but the ridges back into my necklace. They never called to say that the necklace got snapped or that they polished the finish off. They did in fact put the new chain on and I guess the necklace is stronger which is the ONLY reason I didn’t give them 1 star. They have poor communication and they ruined my necklace.

My son-in-law purchased my daughter's beautiful engagement ring at Best Jeweler and I wanted a special gift to give to our daughter on her wedding day and wasn't sure where to go. I decided to work with Sonia after hearing the lengths she went to to make my daughter's wedding band exactly to her specifications. Sonia worked with me to create a necklace that was beautiful and within my budget; it was perfect and my daughter loves it. Sonia worked very hard to make sure the necklace was the perfect diamond and perfect length for my petite daughter.After that and because of Best Jewelers' beautiful work and customer service, I decided to use them to have my mother's engagement ring reset with new small diamonds to replace the poor quality ones. I am thrilled with the finished product. They worked to find the same quality diamonds to match the center one. It was like a completely different ring without changing the original integrity of the design. It's still my mom's ring but brighter and more beautiful, and I'm so happy to now wear it now. And as an added surprise, my husband gifted me a beautiful small diamond band that I admired when in the store. So he also worked with Sonia behind the scenes to make this surprise happen!We live in Philadelphia. We would never make the trip for a jeweler in Havertown if it wasn't for their quality work, their superior attention to detail and wonderful customer service. I highly recommend Best Jeweler and working with Sonia is a great experience. I love the idea of supporting a small business too!

a friend of mine recommended this place to me after a necklace from my late grandmother broke. i went there to get the chain repaired. it broke a year later, so i went and got it fixed again. everything was fine until it broke again a week later! i will not be going there again. twice the chain broke after being tugged on/snagged, but the third time was just random. this is a very special piece of jewelry to me and i can't afford to lose it because of its sentimental value. the people there were friendly, but i couldn't get what i came in there for. i ended up spending over $60 just for me to have to go somewhere else to get the job done correctly. very disappointed.

Such a great experience working with Sonia!She helped me find the perfect pair of earrings for my wife’s 30th birthday, both beautiful and within my budget. All that while being super friendly and helpful.To top it all, we were about to go on vacation the day Sonia got the earrings, so she made sure to drop by our house (we live nearby) to make sure we got the earrings ahead of time.Would highly recommend, we are already returning customers!Oh, and of course, my wife LOVES the earrings, as well as everyone else who sees them on her 😃Thanks Sonia!

Went in to get a pin replaced on my watch. Everyone was very nice. The owner said it would be only $7.50. Fossil basically told me to get lost and buy a new band ($50). My only regret was not going there sooner. Will definitely be returning.

Do not pay attention to old reviews. Much of these have to do with a prior worker that was more or less apathetic to personal property. Best Jewelers is currently one of the best places to go for luxury and non luxury item maintenance. Plus, their selection is stunning. I bought a new designer watch at Kohl's and was recommended Best Jewelers due to Kohl's discontinuation of their jewelry dept. and I was told that staff no longer carried the proper tools to tailor watches. I went here and was in and out in about 20 minutes. I was greeted with a smile and given recommendations for how many links could be removed to my comfort level. You could genuinely tell the expertise and my watch now fits like a glove. This is a traditional mom and pop shop preserving the authenticity of the borough. COVID has rendered many of these shops between a rock and a hard place, by all means, support this business. Just like public transportation, if you don't use mom and pop shops, you lose 'em.

Best Jewelers went above and beyond to fix a bracelet that I wanted to wear to my nephew's wedding. There wasn't time to restring the pearls. (It broke 4 days before the wedding.) Sonia could hear the disappointment in my voice - it was my mom's bracelet and it meant a lot to wear it to the wedding. She told me she would tie it together and try to make it strong enough so I could wear it. It was perfect - I couldn't see that it had been tied together and it held up through the wedding with lots of dancing. She also sized an antique ring making sure to redo the etchings on the bottom of the ring after it had been sized keeping the integrity of the ring. Sonia is so nice, knowledgeable and helpful. A wonderful neighborhood jeweler!!

I just got my gold wedding band custom made and it exceeded my expectations. I love it so so much! Sonia helped me every step of the way. She is so nice and knowledgeable and gave me her expert advice and I’m so glad I trusted her. I came in wanting something else in mind and she suggested I get made a gold band to match exactly to the salt and pepper band I had. The absolute best customer service! I had purchased a new band for my watch, which turned out to be a custom size, so the new band was a few millimeters off. However, Sonya was able to alter the band to fit my watch which was unexpected but greatly appreciated!! She was so friendly, understanding and went above and beyond. Best Jewelers was great. After 36 years of marriage, my wedding ring needed servicing. Best Jewelers measured my finger and determined exactly how much the ring needed to be enlarged. I can't say enough positive things about this store and my experience over the years. The level of customer service I have received is beyond compare.Recently I took 10 or so watches there for battery replacement. ~5 each day on back to back days. They replaced them quickly while I waited and even fixed a watch that had bad contacts for years. It now works again allowing me to change colors of the face, it has 2 batteries. This was never explained to me by any other jeweler. The store is super and explained the intricacies of each of the various types of watches I brought in. I found this to be satisfying and educational. It also reassured me that they have the expertise to handle all sorts of watch repairs. Additionally, I was missing a piece of a band on one watch and they replaced it for free with my order.I am so happy to have such a great jeweler resource in our community and hope others will discover this gem and support this family based business that has been here for over 25 years. I know I will.

If I could I would give it less then 1 star. They ripped my elderly mother off. She brought a gold chain in there that needed a new clasp. She picked up the chain and on 2 different occasions the chain fell off her neck(thankfully she was in the house). I took the chain somewhere else and they said it needed a new clasp (duh) when I called Best jewelers to get refunded the $35 she paid, they refused to reimburse her, the last was rude over the phone! She kept saying they soldered the clasp and they weren’t given her money back! The clasp didn’t even needed to be soldered, it needed a new clasp from the beginning! They are unethical to do business with, they rip people off!!

Good afternoon Google Family. My mom has a watch that needed a new band.. I googled watch places and this location came up. I went there and explained my situation. They offered to clean the watch as well. I was shown bands. The end result was that I received the cleaning and my mother's original band was repaired. I left the watch on a Monday and I called on that Thursday in the same week and asked if the watch had been fixed. I had paid for the watch already. It was $25.00. There were issues with the phone, meaning the phone kept hanging up on me. Finally I was able to get them and Lesley answered. I explained my situation and she said she would call on Friday and that my watch would be fixed and that I could pick it up on Saturday. Lesley did call on Friday and I picked up the watch on Saturday. I also asked for a battery, which was an additional $15.00. I only had $11.00 on me and I promised to bring the balance later. I will pay the balance tomorrow on Monday. My mom was very happy with the outcome. Have a great day, Google Family!
