My husband and I just had a super experience at WD Haverford. We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely anniversary happy hour. We ordered truffle fries, fried pickles, nachos, a cheese plate and cheeseburger. I had the dirty dog, so delicious, pickled green bean martini! Everything was awesome, perfectly prepared and fresh. Patrick was our server, he was great- nice and knowledgeable. Thank you for a really enjoyable experience! I am quite sure this must be the best happy hour on the mainline.

Everything was just great. Not a dish that we did not like. The Server was great and they accommodated all requests for minor changes on food and things on the side. Good beer and wine selection and excellent food. See the pictures! It us located in a Plaza therefore parking is easy. It gets busy but the dining room was not noisy.

During my recent visit to White Dog Haverford, I discovered that the location is somewhat hidden among the neighboring shops, and parking was a challenge due to the high weekend demand. Despite making a reservation for four people, I was disappointed that we were seated at the bar bench instead of the main dining area, especially considering we had a baby with us. On the matter of the brunch menu, I found their spring selection to be rather lackluster in terms of flavor and variety. We decided to share the hummus, which had a delicious taste, but unfortunately, the accompanying vegetables were overly sour. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, which was satisfactory, while my wife opted for an omelette accompanied by their homemade fries, which she found enjoyable. On a positive note, the waffles we tried were scrumptious. While it can be considered a decent place to visit, the underwhelming menu leaves me hesitant to recommend it to others.

Fantastic brunch spot in the suburbs. White Dog did not disappoint this Saturday. Friendly reminder, on a weekend, it is likely you’ll have a 1+Hr wait with no reservation (bar seating here, however, is first come first served).Highly recommend the butternut squash soup. It’s poured over candied pecans and thinly sliced green apples, it’s amazing. The Avocado BLT was fantastic - large, full sandwich, and you can’t go wrong with the truffle fries it comes with. Can’t wait to come back.

Starting with the overall atmosphere and service we were very pleased. Food quality was on par but nothing exceptional for the prices. The perogies were delicious but only 4 small ones to a plate. Butternut squash ravioli was interesting with such a fresh topping it was different and tasty. The sides are large enough to share but barely for 2. Plus the mac and cheese was more pasta than cheese so I wouldn't actually recommend.

I took my family here for Christmas Eve dinner. There were 8 of us visiting my folks (they are 83) and we didn't want them to have to worry about cooking. I made a reservation for 6pm and we were stuck waiting at the door for over 20 mins while several couples were seated ahead of us. When my mother asked a server when they thought our table would be ready, she said that seating 8 people "takes time". We put our orders in right away but we still didn't get our food until 7pm. I had time for 2 cocktails before our appetizers came! The food was great - everything delicious. We ordered a couple of desserts & coffee and then it was another 20mins before I had to get up and ask someone to find our waitress and let her know we'd just take the food to go. In a few minutes the desserts came out - not to go - and my brother never did get his coffee. They did take one of the desserts off our bill. By the time we were out the door it was 9:30pm and everyone was tired and kind of cranky. So, not such a great experience. It was too bad because the food WAS great but the service made the evening a lot less enjoyable.

We went last night with another couple. The service was attentive. Our dinners were delicious and the crème brûlée was the perfect ending!Vegetarian options: Our table ordered the vegan burger and mushroom soup.

Generally it was great, I especially love the lamb bolognese I had. However, I think the cheese plate and desserts could be improved a little bit more. First the present of cheese plate was a little bit poor. The cream puff was soggy even outside, and they used canned peach instead of fresh one. Brownie was rich but too soft and crumbling. Not that recommend.

The food here was incredible! I ordered the latkes with salmon as an appetizer, as well as the salmon and half chicken. Everything was delicious, although I think my very favorite is torn between the latkes and the salmon.I also had the my darling mocktail, and everyone else in my table enjoyed the golden mule!It was not a cheap dinner, but honestly worth every penny for the flavor and experience. They have limited seating indoors as well as a large tent outside for covid-19 safety. The tables were well spaced, and I felt safe while we enjoyed our meal.I also learned that the White Dog was named after a woman (Mme Blavatsky) who used to perform seances, and she always performed them with a white dog in her lap. Just a neat fun fact. The interior decor is all beautiful portraits of dogs as well, and they have large metal dog sculptures flanking the front of the restaurant. If you're looking for a really nice fine dining experience, with incredible food, and a safe atmosphere, I would recommend this location.

My reservation was at 1230 and we didn’t get seated until 105. It was pretty busy so I’m sure that was the reason there was a delay with being seat. I highly recommend reservations even if you might not be seated at your reservation time. Also no more bottomless mimosas. We were kinda sad to findout that no longer was available because that’s the main reason we came.I ordered the salmon tacos with truffle parm fries. My drink was a peach bellini. We were also give a comp cheese plate. My salmon tacos were flavorful however I felt like more salmon could’ve been given for the price. The truffle fries were really good- crispy and you can taste the truffle and it complimented the yellow sauce

Love their Sunday Brunch! Absolutely the best. Big hearty portions. Beet salad is the best I’ve had anywhere at anytime. Breakfast potatoes are awesome. Omelets, Avacado Toast and French Toast are delicious. Very good lattes. Great location. Ample parking. Very attentive waitress. Great service. Clean. The only semi-criticism I have is that the interior design is not for everyone. It’s a confusing mix of beautiful wall art , interesting ceiling fixtures and beat up, second hand tables and chairs. They also have a rusty wheeled wine cart right in the middle of the floor. I just couldn’t take my eyes off all that rust! I would not normally mention something like this but I think it takes away from an otherwise elegant dining experience.

We had the vegan cheese burger and truffle fries. Very delicious and equally filling. The lemonade was good too. Also love the atmosphere. It's different than what you would normally expectVegetarian options: They are limited but have a great vegan burger if you don't want salad. They also have tofu as an option to addDietary restrictions: Wait staff was very mindful of our restrictions and quite accommodating

Interesting brunch bistro with a locally grown/raised angle and a passion for man's best friend. Cat free zone! Menu filled with egg-clectic omelettes and avocado appetizers, unique sandwiches, salads and tacos, even a separate vegetarian and vegan menu. On Sunday, all you can drink menu for $16, be responsible. Given the organic and local, expect the price adjustment, but not shocking. Indoor and outdoor seating (see photos) filled with a canine themed decor. Comfortable seating and friendly staff. I ordered blackened shrimp tacos (get 3) and a tomato juice. I passed on the Avocado BLT, but others at my table enjoyed it.

Recent visit for our wedding anniversary. The staff commented on our special evening multiple times (we had mentioned it in our reservation request) and provided complementary chanpagne with our meal.Menu is limited but quite nice - all locally sourced. Our server, Grant, was having his first night at White Dog and did a very nice job. I'm sure he'll be a great ambassador for the restaurant going forward. We enjoy all of the White Dog locations and look forward to returning.

One thing to note: this is a very conscientious place. They literally sanitize the bathrooms every 15 minutes during COVID, and I've honestly never seen a restaurant be so thorough with their procedures on everything else. Very impressive.Food was delicious. Had the truffle gnocchi, and my husband had the burger. He said it's one of the best burgers he's ever had - big meaty patty, really high quality and fresh tomatoes. We enjoyed the food!

There are 3 locations, it's been years since I visited the Philadelphia branch, and haven't been to the Wayne branch, but everytime I visit the Haverford one, I am delighted! I like the old English pub look but modern feel, the staff are polite, helpful and knowledgeable. They are pretty accommodating when it comes to dietary needs they have a vegan/vegetarian and gluten free menu. Our entire meal was delicious from beginning to end. They have full bar. Even the drinks our server suggested, were wonderful, a mocktail for me : "Brand new life" - with apple cider and ginger beer, hubby decided to have the same but spiked.

Walked over from Haverford and was seated immediately upon arriving around 5:30-40pm on a Tuesday evening. Plenty of tables inside and outside were free. Happy hour specials were good deals, but I opted for the steak udon salad as it stood out as an unique offering. Entreés were a bit on the pricey side, but the portions were more generous than at first meets the eye. The salad was tasty and more like a cold noodle dish with greens and veggies added in. The shared appetizers for the table were a bit too large for the outdoor tables with four people's mains on it as well, I would recommend a better workaround to the lack of table space for these situations. The flower beds were vibrant and nice to look at, but attracted a lot of flying bugs around them, and consequently, our food, though it never proved to be a real issue, just a mild annoyance. A very cute, upscale local eatery with a distinctive vision.

AVOID AT ALL COST! The food was overpriced and terribly prepared. The meat was incredibly salty and completely unchewable, the egg was supposed to be runny but instead was clearly overcooked. The worst part was the terrible food poisoning that came after, one of the worst I ever experienced which is rare as I usually have a high tolerance. Another member of my party also got food poisoning, confirming that it had indeed came from this restaurant as opposed to someplace else. Upon more research I discovered that this place had 6 health code violations! Clearly these weren’t addressed. Theres much better brunch options nearby that I suggest you go to instead, stay far away from this place!AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
