Very clean and organized store! High-quality items were scattered throughout and I was able to have such a great time creating cute outfits at such a great price!

I brought clothes in to sell and it was mainly all name brand stuff . I had two free people items with tags still attached along with American eagle and under armor . They didn’t take any of it besides two things from secondary sources, and only gave me $13. I was very disappointed considering the store has a bunch of shein stuff on their sales floor . Having them overlook my free people clothing when they have a whole section for it is absolutely ridiculous. I have heated similar experiences from close friends and family . Do not sell your clothes to this location .

Was really comical to hear that multiple pairs of my lululemon flare pants are out of style when they've been sold out for months previously everywhere lolThat really threw me for surprise! While they stock shein and numerous other fast fashion brands.. brilliant!Items later sold online within minutes.Don't waste your time here.. Unless you want some good laughs on the hideous collection they think is in style carried in store, vs what you know is actually in style. Was upset at first but it's hilarious now with how quickly they sold online. Oh well!! Their loss, not mine 🤣

Some of the employees are lazy as it gets. I took a bag of designer shirts in there (Polo, Lacoste, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, etc,) and give it to the woman working, I wait literally 5 mins in my car and come back in and she tells me that they don’t want any of my clothes because they are not in style. They are older styles and they want new. Half of those shirts are unworn brand new and at most 6 months old. Really? Sounds like someone didn’t want to do there job. Do not give your clothes to the short pudgy dark blonde haired woman with glasses. Her face resembles a female Gary Busey (like 3 years before death Gary Busey too.)

I brought in a bin with 30 or 40 pieces and 5 minutes after drop-off I get the text. She tells me they won't be taking any of it. I notice in my vehicle that the entie bin is as I packed it. She lied straight to my face after I went back and told her. I was treated like a criminal. They seem entitled now with the higher prices. Just because I'm selling doesn't mean I'm not a customer

Second time I visited this location only to find that they were closed HOURS before their posted online hours. Annoying.

These women were amazing! They went over the return policy with me and I did need to return a few things so I stopped in the next day. She remembered me from the day before and was super quick with the returns even though they were pretty busy with logging clothes they had just gotten in. I even scored a north face that looks brand new in a beautiful sage green color they don't make anymore. Definitely coming back for clothes when the spring hits!

I used to be a big fan of Plato’s Closet - I’ve sold here a few times and purchased quite a few over the year! I stopped in today with ~80 items, a good portion of them with tags attached (from a variety of brands like Zara, TopShop, Abercrombie & Fitch, and items purchased from high-end retailers like Saks and Yoox). I checked in and was told that there were 2 people in front of me and the wait would be an hour and a half, and yet received a text just 10 minutes after I dropped off. I highly doubt that they reviewed the entirety of my bag, as I placed my NWT items at the bottom of the bag and they looked untouched. Yes, they’re not obligated to purchase especially if their inventory is high, but they should make that clear instead of continuing to let customers come in with the expectation that their items will be thoroughly reviewed. Unfortunately, the experience is no longer the same and I will no longer be returning.

Just saw the latest video of this location on instagram and I am absolutely appalled and disgusted. Extremely rude and disrespectful to anyone trying to sell their used clothing. You are a used clothing store have some class and respect to those trying to make a bit of money on items they no longer use. Whether you take the clothing or not you should not have posted that video, saying eww to any closes over 2 years old and eww not having a tag. The district manager should be disappointed with the managers here and their decision to post that video. I will 100% not recommend this location to anyone. Treat your customers with respect and maybe you won’t receive poor reviews.

The staff is RUDE and will openly talk about customers who just left in front of other customers, their social media needs serious monitoring - unfollowed and will never shop at or attempt to sell to (good luck if you try!) this location again. Such a shame, this Plato’s had great potential in the new location.

I have to agree with alot of the previous reviews... yes, the employees are usually very nice but most of them should definitely not be the ones making the buying choices based on their own style choices. I have two daughters at home, very trendy, that unfortunately waste alot of clothing they buy, all trendy, most unworn or barely worn, all name brands. This Platos turns down so many great items and gives you the typical saying that we cannot buy these items based on outdated trends or overwear which I PROMISE you, they are not, I'm not bitter cause they didnt buy my stuff, just so very confused and really want the store to do better like it used to.This trip we had Tommy Hillfiger, Hollister, American Eagle, Urban Outfitters, Free People, Brandy Mellville, Forever 21, etc.... all like new, all bought this year or last, and some tags attached! Then you walk around the store and they have the ugliest clothing from the early 2000's as well as stained clothing, clothing with pilling all over it, clothing from Walmart, it's so crazy!! If you do find something it will cost you more than it might have been at the store! I found a dress I liked from AE and paid more for it then the ticket price that was still on it! It really is frustrating to shop here anymore. I think if they hired a buyer or two that know what is stylish and trendy they would do much better.

Waited 2 1/2 hours for them to check one bag. They said an hour to start. Then it was another hour, then another 20-30. They took all of 5 minutes with my items. I only buy Torrid which is an expensive plus size brand. I took a look around at one point and saw clunky Walmart sweaters, and in plus there was next to nothing. So my guess is they don’t really want plus size there. They took 4 items and gave me 13.00. Which is less than I spent in gas to get there and wait in the car with the car running. Never going back.

i had pacsun, hollister, BDG, H&M, Brandy, J Galt, urban outfitters, and more..they took like 2 items. all in season. absolutely NO wear or tear in any of the clothes. i went through every one and not a single stain or anything. i believe that the employees are lazy... AND on their website under "what we buy" i saw ALL of the brands of clothing that i brought in. all clothes are recent, trending, expensive, and barely worn. the person who went through my bag was Evelyn. absolutely TERRIBLE experience. whenever i have gone in there to shop, i leave with almost nothing because everything is worn in, out of style, etc. i have NEVER seen ANY popular brands at all. will not be returning any time soon, unless they stop hiring SELF PROJECTING TEEN EMPLOYEES...do better, you'll make a lot more money...

I’ve been to a few different Plato’s locations around Pennsylvania and this is definitely the best one I’ve been to. The selection of clothing is great, I never leave without finding at least a few good things for much cheaper than you’d get anything at the mall. The selling process is also fantastic. I always come in with just a bag of clothes that I try to sell and usually donate the rest. They’re quick and always buy a few items for a fair price. All the employees are young and super sweet. A great place to shop at whenever you have some free time!

Terrible selling experience. I came with so many unstained, worn twice clothes. A giant bag full of Pacsun, UO, Brandy Melville, Hollister, and H&M. They took a couple items and told me they could not take the rest due to “wear or staining”. I promise you, there is absolutely no wear or staining on these clothes. They ignored extremely trending and in season clothes. Furthermore, you can check the website so see exactly what they are buying at this time. I was completely dumbfounded to see that my bag of clothes was exactly what they’re website says they need. I believe it is due to laziness of the workers, I would not be surprised to see that they just take items off the top of the pile and return the rest to you. I saw many other reviews stating what I have said and chose to ignore them, and i reaped the consequence. Do not waste your time selling at this location. Thank you.

Everyone is on here complaining about how long the wait time is/ how much money they buy your clothes for. If you haven’t realized behind the counter there is 50+ bags of clothing and probably more. No one is also considering that there is no workers anywhere, so obviously it’s going to take longer than it use to take before. They even state that they only pay you back a small % of what your clothes are actually worth and they post what brands they look for. If it’s such a big deal then sell your clothing online. Then people are complaining about not having big enough clothing sizes. You do realize that the clothing they get is from other people and they don’t do it on purpose. It’s not like a normal store where they order specific sizes. Stop hating, and realize it’s a thrift store. Just like any place you will never get your clothing to the full % of what you bought it for.

Sometimes I find some good things here but you really have to dig for them. I can't count the amount of times I've found clothes with irreparable holes, stains, and tears. They don't thoroughly inspect the clothes they buy. I've tried selling a few times and never had a good experience. I've always brought clothes in great condition, current styles, good brands, they rarely buy anything.

Came in two days ago with a Large storage bag and a small tote bag. The large storage bag had about 50-60 items in it and the small had 5, maybe 6. I asked for a text when my buy was complete. Waited an hour and a half. Got my text. I went back, and they told me they were buying 5 items, all of which were from the small bag. In other words they bought probably everything in that bag. yet, the large bag was totally untouched. I mean all items still folded/rolled exactly as I had them. The cashier (very young woman) told me the big bag had been passed on for “dated brands” in it that the store wasn’t buying - I mean there were many of the same brands as the first bag, but I have sold to a different location before so I did fully expect to receive a certain amount of items back. But. it was VERY evident once I took my bag back, that no one had even looked at my stuff. And the fact that they bought everything out of the first bag, tells me it’s highly unlikely all 60 of the others were a pass. It just HAPPENED In to be that I packed all the buyable items in the small bag (the one that’s almost no work to sort). In total, I wasted two hours packing up my clothing, and hour driving total, and an hour and a half for the time they were pretending to check my bag. I will never go back to this location and I just read a very similar review on Willow Grove’s page as well. Dana did my buy at Hatfield. Sellers Beware.

The staff at this location in Hatfield, Pa. is the absolute most professional, caring, cheerful, pleasant & helpful of all of their locations! The young ladies as well as gentlemen always welcome you with a warm smile. They are always ready to help a customer with something that they are in search of anytime. As a matter of fact they are more professional then their upper management that tend to drop in here & there! Perhaps they could learn from the younger crew who run the place. I rate this place 5 STARS PLUS MORE!!!!

Funny. I bought a few items at Plato’s (same location) that ended up not fitting me and put them in my “to be sold “ bag.Perfect condition: Solomon shoes (unused), Nike PRo items etc.I sat and waited 1.5 hours while a teenager told me my items ALL unworthy… yet the same items or worse could be found in the store. Kids can’t make these decisions. You will lose customers based on bias. I disrespect Plato’s. Every store I walk in is run by kids.

I usually love platos, but lately they suck. I brought two huge bags in, they took maybe about 5 items and gave me barely any money for them. The buy included a pair of uggs, never worn, as well as some almost brand new vans. They also tried to give me $12 for my BRAND NEW Michael Kohrs bag that was in perfect condition. I said no thanks, I can sell it myself for at least $100. They don’t take any of my nice clothing and designer bags, then you walk around the store and see the junk they try to sell. Outdated styles, stains, holes, etc. I never wanted to post a bad review, but between the whole MK bag thing, and the overall bad customer service… 👎🏼

went in with 3 dresses— 2 from HelloMolly and 1 from Lucy in the Sky, all bought this spring, never worn before ranging from $48-70 each. After waiting over the expected wait time, they offered me 12.75 total for all 3 dresses. I took the items back and they appeared confused why. A lot of the items in store appeared old, out of style, and worn in. Don’t waste your time.

I brought in a bag with probably 40 items, all packing/forever21 stuff. They only bought 5 items which I’m not shocked by, but what I was shocked by was the amount of time it took them. When I dropped off my clothes at 4:30, I was told they’d be ready by 6. So since I live a half hour away, I did some errands and can back at 6. I then proceeded to wait 2 HOURS longer, and did not get my clothes till 8pm. It was ridiculous. They either need to hire more people or have their etas be more accurate.

Didn't take any of my name brands. Wouldn't except formal wear or dresses that were "too nice" Store had a funky smell and none of the clothes in the store were in the excellent condition of my clothing. They bought 2 skirts that I was getting rid of because I thought they looked tacky and 1 t shirt for $8.I'd rather donate to the homeless or my church...
