The pharmacy at 115 Effort CVS is awful they treat everyone rudely I observed this well waiting in line. They are short staffed but everyone waiting was kind and the staff was just horrible to them. They act like you are bothering them and when this sweet older lady didn't understand how to use the pin pad the clerk actually yelled at her it was so painful to witness. I understand being short staffed I work in a similar environment, you don't take it out on your customers, if you can't handle it and treat people with kindness find another job. I will be using another pharmacy moving forward. Avoid the pharmacy the store isn't bad it's clean and you can use self check out.

Jae the Pharmacist was very friendly and helped me resolve my long time issue with my mom's meds. I will continue to review and started with 2 star and will see if their services get better with him there. improve. Too much to note but Jae made my day. Hope he's a great example in the pharmaciy all will improve to a 5 star quality.

This is without doubt the most pathetic pharmacy I've ever used! Today I went to pickup prescriptions. I previously had a letter hand delivered to them stating that I wanted a new prescription synced with my other prescriptions. Nonetheless they filled it now. I was told that they don't respond to written communications. I started at the drive-in window. The screen on the window was down but the system welcomed me saying "a team member will be with you shortly". So I decided to wait. After a few minutes I decided to go inside. When I told them they should turn off the please wait message I was told "we have no way to do that". I suggested that they at least put up a sign, but I doubt they will even do that. If this pharmacy wasn't just a mile away from me I would definitely not use it.An update as of March 23rd, 2024. It never fails to amaze me how truly bad this pharmacy is. I receive a text message saying "We are contacting your DR, for an alternative medication for Rx F." I'm obviously concerned, so I call to find out what's happening. After ten minutes on hold the phone appears to answer, but the call immediately hangs up. So I decide to visit in person. I ask what this is about, I'm told my insurance company might not be paying for this drug anymore, and some other obscure reason I can't recall. They tell me they'll let me know what happens. I ask them exactly what the reason is, since they just gave me a rundown of possibilities. They look it up on the computer and they tell me "the prescription needed to be refilled, they called the Dr. for a refill". They didn't even need to tell me that, instead they said I needed an alternate medication. Just par for the course at the CVS Effort pharmacy.

If there is any other pharmacy that took my family’s insurance in the area we’d go there. They are always “a week behind”, due to short staffing. There’s always an issue with communication, and with them filling the scripts based on the physician orders. Today I caught the manager who was working the pharmacy register in a lie that cost me an hour of my time. When I requested a script for a family member that was on auto refill and should have been filled accordingly, it was told it would be 30 mins for them to fill. I waited and waited. Others came and requested their over due meds be filled and got them and left. So after another 20 mins I asked. He said he herd my family members name called a while ago. I was in front of the counter the whole time, my family member was updating me on the status in real time. It was only after I said something the second time he rushed to get it filled, and magically the pending status changed to complete. He lied about it being done when in fact he never put it through. Accountability doesn’t exist here. When you say how their care is negatively effecting your personal health, it’s met with “oh well we just don’t have the staff”. Do better CVS

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They tell you your medicine is ready and when you get there it isn't or they take two days to fill it. When you are sick and go to the doctor you would like your medication in a timely manner not two days later. They always have an excuse and never answer the phone. I have spent an hour on two different phone lines trying to get through on multiple occasions and they never answer. Where we live they are one of the only close by options for a pharmacy or I would go elsewhere.

Got a text today saying my prescriptions were done now this isn't the first time it's probably like the 5th or 6th time I go to pick them up and they're closed due to staff then you should have somebody there so you can get people that have medications their picked up

Unworthy of 1 star. Deserves -0 stars. This Effort location is the worst pharmacy in the solar system. I was patient and understanding not long ago when they were short on pharmacists, but their -0 star rating goes way back before then, and continues today. Corporate should clean house and especially fire the district manager. Unfortunately for many of us, it's "The Only Show in Town."

It takes a lot to get me steamed. This has been my go to pharmacy for years. A few months ago I was given the wrong variety of a medicine I've been on/they've been refilling for over 15 years. Yesterday and today has been a monumental example of poor customer service, faulty communication, and no follow through. Two attempts from my doctor to intervene and two phone calls to an actual person in the pharmacy haven't moved the needle. And don't get me started on the "push 7 to speak with somone..." system. I'm still waiting for my prescriptions to be filled. Once that happens, I'm done with this CVS.

Very poor customer service. Watch out for bald head glasses overweight guy and doofy clueless kid both in blue scrub uniforms. Had to describe them because unsure of their names but you'll know if you see them. Dismissive, shut the gate on us before we even left to help us, very rude on the phone toward the end of the phone call then hung up on us abruptly. When prescriptions were ready, when we walked to the register, they deliberately walked away just to not help us. Another third associate had to assist us. done with this CVS. Going to Rite Aid from now on.

The new, younger female cashier at front checkout has an attitude problem, pharmacy staff and new pharmacist? are mostly rude, medication disposal kiosk has been full for months and months so they won't let us use it.

Was standing in line to get my medicine because I'm sick and got told the person they were helping was the last one because they needed to go on lunch all at the same time I'm so happy you all get to enjoy your lunch break when I needed my medication so I could start enjoying my day. Really love that I used the last of my gas to get there just to get turned away.

Awful customer service. 3 times I go for my medication and it's says they are open. I drive there and , nope pharmacist never showed for work. Then I go another time and they said they never received my prescription. I leave and 10 minutes later I get a text that my prescription is ready for pickup. Then today again they did it again. Im so done with cvs. Awful..wouldn't ever recommend them to anyone.

This CVS pharmacy is terrible, they ignore you at the drop off counter while they gossip. Then when you finally get waited on they tell you 5 minutes so you shop around and then stand in the pick up line and then to be told it's another half an hour. Person at the register was rude.

This review is for the pharmacy only. My mother called yesterday to let the pharmacy know I would be in first thing in the morning to pick up her prescriptions. CVS told her it would be no problem. I get there and I am told the prescriptions won’t be ready for 20 minutes. Not a problem. I hang around the store till then and go back to the counter. I am then told it will be an additional 30 minutes. Now I am starting to get upset. But I wait. I go back to the counter for the third time and am now told that it will be an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour. Other people are ahead of me and I feel like they were given higher priority even though I was there first. I understand they’re busy but 2 hours waiting in the store??? I will no longer be using this pharmacy due to the poor service.

My son scheduled a covid shor and over an hour later he got a text message that due to unforeseen circumstances it was cancelled. He rescheduled and got in. Today I scheduled for a 5pm appointment and an hour later got cancelled on. Then I rescheduled for 4pm and 15 minutes before my appointment they cancelled. I finally gave up and went somewhere else. It takes days to get prescriptions filled there. They are always understaffed. The line is always long for the pharmacy. They reduced their hours and now take close for lunch. They never have my medications in stock. I'm switching pharmacies. This has been for months. You call and get out on hold for over 30 minutes. I watched them put 3 calls on hold while I was standing on line, and no one answered the phone the entire time I was there. My first covid shot I had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment time to get it. This place is terrible.

If you're reading the reviews, save yourself the headache and go to Rite and in Broadheadsville. Some of the techs are very rude, especially Sarah. At my family's last visit, the pharmacist had to tell her "Sarah your job is to help people, not to give them sass."They do not start filling your prescription until you get there. Even with calling ahead, it took over 30 minutes. I've picked up a few prescriptions at the new Rite Aid and haven't waited over 10 minutes. At Rite Aid they just fill your prescription when they receive it and you pick it up! What an amazing concept not utilized at the effort CVS.

Best pharmacy ever! Everyone was very kind and helpful. Jim and Tammy are very kind and always available to help. The pharmacist is very nice so is the staff. Sylvia is very patient and Lisa alway got a smile on her face,bettering every customer’s shopping experience. The guy at drive thru was very polite. Good!

Every time I go to the pharmacy and drive through, they are closed, without disclosure as to why. They are rude, and then when you go inside, there something always comes up where something is wrong with the system and then you have to wait till the next day, sometimes longer.

Literally the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I have a house in New Jersey and a house down the street from them. I called to get a prescription transferred up here I was on hold for an hour the first person I spoke to was nice but told me I know it’s rough to wait but try us back in an hour. I called back in an hour and a half shortly before my other pharmacy closed and I was on hold for another half an hour to talk to Sarah. I explained that I needed my inhaler I have been up the last few nights sitting up in a recliner unable to breathe. She I guess put me on hold without telling me I was talking to her and then she was gone for five minutes. She was very short and nasty when she came back. I will find a local pharmacy appear as I am living up here more than half the time now. I will never deal with CVS again

This has got to be the worst pharmacy in the world I wouldn't buy medication for a rat over there called on Saturday to have a prescription switched over to another pharmacy because I was away only to find out that there is no pharmacist on duty after countless hours of trying to get somebody to do the transfer someone takes it out of the system and puts it in limbo where nobody else can get the prescription I've been suffering now for 8 hours with no medication because of their incompetence unbelievable I will never ever use CVS pharmacy again ever

This is the absolute worst CVS ever. I've been to CVS all over the country and never have I faced such incompetence and rudeness as I do from the pharmacy staff here. I have had to argue with them every single time I have gone to fill a prescription (which I do often as this location is 5 minutes from my house). The pharmacy techs are always incredibly rude, prescriptions are never filled, they are unable to answer the phone, they will never fill prescriptions for you the same day because they are too busy, the app will say that you have to call the pharmacy but they don't answer and when you go to ask them what's up they say you'll just have to wait for a phone call (even though my prescription was sent in over a month ago).tl;drSave your time and go to a different CVS. Brodheadsville or Tannersville aren't much further and are a million times better than this dump.

Usually this pharmacy is ok. My experience in the last 24 hours changed that opinion. Went there last night 1 hour before closing, they wete out of 1 med (not unusual) and told me, even though I told them I was out, to come back tomorrow.I go there today, saw a sign for covid testing too late and got in the wrong lane, waited 10 minutes for them to rell me to get in the othet lane (behind 3 cars). Then when I get there they say can't fill it have physician call. You couldn't tell me that last night when I dropped it off ?I don't know why but there service has become bad. Update: unless I'm dying & cvs is only pharmacy with med I need I will never go there again. Long story short they sent the state police to my house (2 cars) to ask me did I forge a script (I didn't) also violated my HIPPA rights by speaking to a doctor not my own about me. CVS is the absolute worst.

This particular Tuesday night I found the staff rude to me particularly. I came in to buy an at home COVID-19 test and a thermometer for my grandmother. I was told previously by other people at the test was at the pharmacy counter, but the pharmacist told me it was the front counter. So I walked to the front, I waited patiently behind one woman for at least 5-10 minutes. When I got to the counter, the cashier did not apologize to me for the wait (that is not a big deal, but wait until the end of the review to see why this is notable). I ask her if there are any COVID-19 tests, she then says they are not at front counter, and says they are "clearly at the front." Talking to me as if I am unintelligent. So I said, can you please show me? Clearly irritated she shows me and makes no note to apologize to the woman behind me (who just showed up in line). No clear signage but I was supposed to see it. Then I said, where are the thermometers. Even more irritated, she begrudgingly shows me. So now at checkout finally, goes pretty quickly. She then apologizes to that same woman a second time. Interesting who gets treated with nice service and who is being treated like a burden. I really did try to look for those items on their own, however I have never had to shop for a thermometer and I just did not see it. I will note that I was the only black woman there and every one else was white. Yet, I was the one who received not so great customer service.Thank

.Received a text 48 hours a go that my script was ready to pick up.. Arrived and happy to see no pharamacy customers inside or outside for once! Even better, there are 5 employees working inside the pharmacy. Yay! Quick pick up and no wait, right? Nope. You can just sit in the drive through while we talk, laugh and put away baskets. After all, we have more important things to do that help customers! Oh, and once we get around to finishing our happy conversations with each other and finally interrupt our day to help the customer...your script is not ready. We have been too busy to fill your script over the past 48 hours (see above comments). Try comming back some other time and we can repeat this whole process...The culture of incompetent customer service at the Effort CVS is staggering in its breadth! Though, maybe it starts earlier. Maybe...an interview question goes something like; "Here at the Effor CVS we pride ourselves on being the best at being the worst. We need to know any potential hire can provide exceptionally horrible customer service if we hire you."-all reviews over 2 stars have to come from friends/family of employees...or retirees.

If you are picking up a prescription plan on a minimum of a 30 minute wait it line. Half the time scripts aren't ready. It takes nearly a full day to fill even the simplest things. And now they close for lunch so things take even longer. Avoid at all costs.

This place was the most nasty CVS I’ve ever visit. The woman in pharmacy got annoyed & rude when a guy tried to pick up his prescription. Not even say thank you. What an attitude. Is that how to treat customer? No wonder you are loosing business.

Your company, in my opinion, are a bunch of losers and liars. You deal with problems by making one call to the consumer and then ignore it. After having 2 police cars and 2 state troopers to my house to accuse me of forging a prescription, I got one call from your Corporate pharmacist promising to have the regional manager call me who nevet did. You humiliate your customers and don't even care. CVS is the worst pharmacy ever !!🤬🤬
