Staff is fine, management and upper management need to do something to get more staff. Constantly closing early, changing houres and its currently 530 pm and they are CLOSED. Like I said. It's nothing on the lower staff, I assume there's an issue with retaining staff. Again... Management and upper management need to do better to keep staff and hire enough to cover call outs.

Worst experience at a Dollar General ever!! (And I’ve had some unpleasant ones in the past)Went for an advertised item and as often the case at this store, it was not available. But in addition to that time waster was the condition of the store itself. Deplorable comes to mind!I took pictures but I see there’s no where to upload on this site. I couldn’t get my cart down two of the aisles because they were filled with unopened boxes stacked six foot high and down the whole aisle section. It was also difficult trying to leave the store because there was one cashier working and there had to be close to twenty people trying to checkout and they were inline in both directions towards the cashier. If the stores can’t properly staff and stock the store, it should close its doors!!!! NEVER AGAIN.

Honestly i have no idea why this is even here anymore. For the last week they have had a pink "closed" sign on their door. No idea if it is permanently closed or they just dont have staff.Even when they have "open" hours there is a 50/50 chance you will go and the doors will be locked.I've lived in this area for 8 years and we loved having a dollar general so close to our home but at this point with the random hours and the horrible service they just need to close and start over.

The manager is rude to me every time he sees me in the store. He seen me in the store this evening and followed me around while I was shopping with my daughter. Then he walked past the clearance Isle where I was shopping and very rudly said that he is closed and that I should have know that when the music went off.After checking the time (8:15 pm) I asked, at 8:30...he said No, I'm closed now. A little shaken up by his tone and demor I stopped shopping and went to checkout, another shower was their so I stopped so the other shopper could go first. The manager aggressively told me to "come on". He embarrassed me so much, and infront of my lovely 9 year old daughter who was very confused at why this man was treating her mother in such a manner.As I was checking out other customers came in and he told each one that he is closing soon. I said to him, you said that your closed, why are they able to shop and I'm not. He told me to call corporate.....he held the door open for my daughter and I to leave. I have spent several thousand dollars at Dollar General over the years and I'm also a SHARE HOLDER. This store is closest to my home I have been patronizing this establishment regularly for over 6 years. It's sad that I have to inconvenience myself by going to Family Dollar. I'm not sure that I can continue to hold my savings in this company's stock any longer since I don't believe in the service provided to the public. The level of humiliation I experienced was beyond what I can overlook.

If I could give this Dollar General a zero, I would. It is the dirtiest store I have ever been in. The floors are disgusting; there is stock everywhere; loud music playing; it's just horrible. This store has gone downhill considerably in the last few years. What happened? New management? It's a shame, I went in there twice -- the second time I gave it another chance -- and nothing has changed. You feel as though you need a shower after you leave the place. It's a shame -- it was a nice neighborhood store for years -- now it's a wreck!

I'm upgrading an earlier rating of 3 to a rating of 5 now. I don't go here often, but my mom does. My most recent trip was for my mom to get a card for her to send to someone else. They had a really nice selection of cards, as well as other items. The staff were very helpful and friendly, service was prompt, and the store was clean and organized. I'm not sure if it is a new owner/manager, but the store seems to be significantly improved since my last visit. I may go more often for myself now!

Does anyone know if this location is ever open? I went by at 7:30pm on a Friday and the doors were locked but all the lights are on. No sign indicating their hours

Horrible. The merchandise is scattered everywhere. New merchandise sitting on carts thruout the store. Asked a worker if they have boxed matches. They said they don't know. Aisles are blocked off with carts. The employees never heard of "Front & Facing. I recommend going elsewhere

This particular location is very clean, very well stocked, friendly staff who actually take the time to know their regular customers and interact with them. They are helpful. Prices are fair. This location is quiet and not run like a teenage night club like most the other locations I've been in lately. They also are well staffed and get a line checked out rather fast when it gets busy.

I usually like this place but do not come around 15 minutes before they close because for some reason they like to lock the door early which makes no sense. Especially when you’re supposed to close at 10:00 PM. And then the older lady decided to shrugged her shoulders when she saw me knock on the door 15 minutes before they closed.

The store was very busy with many customers during a snowstorm. Sharice and the other young cashier (I forgot his name) were very friendly and helpful, professional and efficient. Great customer service and assistance!

I do not like this dollar general. They have a terrible selection on their doordash and I have no idea why. They are supposed to have the same stuff in the store as on doordash. They are super weird too. They are another store that has a back room filled with stuff but even during the pandemic refused to put stuff out to save for themselves especially when people really needed stuff

I absolutely Love this DG!!! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. In the 10 years that I've been going to this DG, I've never had any issues!! All of the employees there are kind and welcoming. Many times I've seen them go above and beyond for their customers. The last manager was Great. If an item wasn't in stock, he would make a note and make sure it was on the next order if possible. I'm always greeted with a smile and I leave with with a smile:)

ONE employee!!! She closes when she wants to. The store is a mess. Shelves are not stocked. There used to be two male managers who ran the place very well... there used to be more than ONE employee... there used to be stocked shelves. The place is a disaster and an embarrassment. When Penhurst Candy closed and the neighborhood found out we were getting a DG it was great!! It was run well, a lot of product, organized, and clean. Within the past two years it has turned into a nasty bodega with one cashier, long lines, boxes and yellow bins yet to be put out, empty shelves, and generally a place not inviting at all. Moldy bread, outdated chips... this place is a disaster. DG corporate obviously does not care. The DG in Turtle Creek is just as bad, just bigger.

Hidden deals? Yes! Great prices on many name brand and private label items. Employees are always nice but clearly overworked for the amount they are payed. Sign on front door, " Now Hiring: key holder- 9.50 hr ". That's ridiculous.

I love Dollar General I used to work here for five years at a different one this is a nice place. They had a manager there and Christina Carter and now that they don't have her it's different because she made that place go what a great person. Still a decent place though

The staff at the Greensburg Pike location is great! (checked grammar, it's right). The isles are way too close together and really could present an issue for someone with a wheelchair; which is why I only gave it 2 stars.

Lines too too too long. Needs more registers open. Old worn out obsolete cash registers as well. Use some of those profits to invest in new registers. I feel like I'm in the 1970's at the registers. Ridiculous!

Very busy store. Employees are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. Manager Don and Julianne and Evelyn are favorites among customers. Prices are low and stock has good variety. Enjoy the experience.😀

The service was excellent but there is a problem with the cleanliness of the parking lot. Someone needs to clean up this place. It does not look good with the trash all over the place. Hopefully owners will read this and swing into action.
