First off ended up going to Carlisle Karns and got a steak and they looked horrible went to the one in Duncannon and got a new steak cut and it is absolutely amazing Dominic and Kathy were very helpful I’m definitely getting my meat cut here from now on so happy

Good selections prices on par with other grocery stores .. hot deli take out is mostly chicken ... But occasionally they have smoke ribs or pork chops filled or crab cakes . Nice fish deli and meat deli

Staff is very nice but prices are ridiculous. It's like they think since they are in small town and know folks don't want to drive far for groceries they are going to overprice items.

Local beef, not factory farms. Also, local produce. Nice place. Good people. Skip the gas - it's usually 15 cents a gallon more expensive here. But that was then, now the gas prices are in line with the rest of the area.

This grocery store is family owned, and Karns recently bought it around 2021 from the previous owners, the Mutzabaugh family. It offers everything you expect from a typical grocery store and includes self check out, an eat-in area, and all fresh cut and packed meats from their deli. It is only 2 minutes from "downtown" Duncannon and directly beside a Rite Aid pharmacy. They also have a gas station with reasonable prices. The store is wheelchair accessible and motorized carts are available. They also have a hot deli area that sells hot foods for those nights you need a quick meal for the family. All the staff are friendly and helpful!

The location in the former Mutzabaugh location in Duncannon retains the same local vibe and is a nice store, with fairly good pricing. Clean and well-stocked.

Ever since it changed hands, prices have risen big time.. $2.50 for a 2liter? Really? And they call that a "sale!" they put in all these "self-checkout" and little TV advertisement screens in the aisles and only got 1-2 people ringing people up.. kind of a shame really.. but at least they have more organic products, though if they spent less $ on TV screens and more on their workers maybe it wouldn't take 10min to get through the line and wouldn't need to jack prices up so much

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Karns. I knew my stability was bad tonight, but when I crashed my cart into an endcap (why I don't drive) and took a hard fall, they were there instantly and were so kind and helpful I just want to thank them all.

Prices are higher compared to other local grocery stores. Locally owned. Known for their big meat counter along their back wall. Also has seafood.. Has lottery & gambling machine.Does carry Reedsville milk in glass bottles with $2 deposit not included in price when using EBT. Must pay cash.Produce & dairy has discount sections. Discounts now $2 for rotten produce!Lunch meat ends are now $4.99 lb! Everywhere else they are half that price!

Since Karns Foods purchased the store in Duncannon it has certainly changed and for the better. The store is much better stocked and has one of the best meat departments in the area. My wife and I now do 99% of our grocery shopping at the Duncannon Karns.

I don't know how to explain it but ever since they've changed hands from the previous store that was in Duncannon everything is absolutely too expensive and on the verge of me not shopping there and the way that they price things like two for 6 or two for five is confusing and I'm sure it's meant to be that way so that you don't catch it at the cash register the same way Dollar General operates when you first yourself right out of the market you're eventually going to have to lower prices quit playing with the people that made your business grow in the first place every one of us has got to put our foot down and say we're not paying these prices or suppliers are not going to give us these prices and you all need to be quit being greedy for your bottom line

Over priced and going up. Can't even have prepackaged meat. I like looking at the portion. Like I know what it weighs. Wasn't a fan of Mutz, but I prefer them. Like others have said. They were friendly and it felt like a community store. Karns is price gouging

DO NOT BUY MEAT STEAK/SASUAGE the last 3 times I've been here I've bought meat all smells rancid today I bought two ribeyes giving them the benefit of the doubt and it smelled questionable decided to cook it either way don't really know why and it tasted just as bad as it smelled super upset highly disappointed I know it don't mean much but you lost a local frequent customer will be going to enolas Weis market from now on.

I am very upset that This food Store does not cater to people trying to lose weight I am currently on weight watchers and trying to find healthy ways to have snacks they have 1 light ice cream. I have asked to have a little more variety and nothing ever happens the groceries are over price to begin with and the only one they have is almost $5 I won't be shopping there

Local grocery store. Made lots of improvements from previous, but sometimes has issues keeping things in stock consistently. Will still shop there. Prices are fair.
