They truly care about the pets including the fish. They don't have enough staff (excuse me...corporate?) But the folks who work are all super helpful and kind. Recommend this petco over the local Pet Smart any day. Fish are healthier

I go to this petsmart often but recently they have been out of stuff I get and I would have to have a worker check for the nearest store and a few times the posted pricing wasn't what the system rang up so I had to walk the cashier back and show her what was posted and 2 times it was old pricing that wasn't removed but they did give me the price.

I’ll start this off with that I have been a long time- 20 plus year customer of this location.Have brought all of my dogs here for both grooming and Banfield care. That all ends today and Petsmart can thank their “manager” (and I used that term lightly) I believe her name was Courtney. She was a heavy set woman with an extremely long pony tail.I drove 2 dogs from West Chester— (when there are tons of options closer and in between) and today I was met by the manager in the grooming salon who’s aid they couldn’t take my dogs for a walk in service that I have never been turned down for in 20 years. There were 3 people in there at the time and only 2 dogs. She seemed to get great pleasure out of telling me that they couldn’t take me and very condescendingly asked “didn’t you call first” to which i replied “No, you have it advertised as a walk in service not a “by appointment” service. I asked if they were able to do just one of the dogs since I had driven all this way for this service only. She again seemed to get great joy and pleasure by denying me. She was very rude, condescending, and even after I advised I’d be leaving this review she seemed to care very little. I was applied at how she handled this situation, I would have been understanding had she not been so rude and condescending. Usually managers will search for a solution, especially for a customer as loyal and that travels such a distance to patron their business.Never more. Courtney is the sole reason I will never spend another dollar at pet smart, especially the Downingtown location.Sad customer service and even her employees seemed to roll their eyes at her behavior. She needs some serious training and should not be in charge of people or in charge of resolving customer issues. She is severely lacking upstairs.

I used the groomers at Pet Smart. I have been using the one in Downingtown for the last 21 years. They do need a bigger area for the grooming salon. However, I have not once been disappointed with them.

I made an appointment online for my dog who needs an express grooming bc of his seizures. I have taken him there before and he was relaxed and well groomed by Jose and then Sarah . This time was HORRIBLE!! Davika was the groomer this time. With an express service it is more money and animals areSupposed to be calmly groomed. First off we were told it would take about 3-3 1/2 hours. It took 11/2 hrs. We showed her the knots that are behind his ears and trim him all over and she didn’t touch his ears. His tail wasn’t touched. When We picked him up he was so anxious and stressed out. I took him out to wait and he laid down flat on floor and just peed all over himself. The lack of customer service and animal service I will Never take my pets into that place again!!! And to be told 3 times while I was there I cannot book online if it is an express. Like I booked it months ago, someone could’ve called me to just reschedule. Don’t take you animals there to get groomed!!! Mostly if they seizure.

Went in to get a few items for our Birds they had very nice toys for them as well as food. The stores was extremely clean staff are extremely helpful all around nice experience would recommend them to anybody. We currently have a 10 year old Pomeranian that has recently had surgery for Kidney Stones, our Veterinarian recommended a prescription food for him. The food we needed we were able to purchase there as well, at the same cost as an online purchase. We highly recommend Petsmart.

It was hard to find an employee to help us. When I did find someone I told them that in one of their tanks there were like 6 dead fish. The young lady that was working said "yeah, we'll get around to it". I also purchased some parrot items and one of them was broken in the box when I opened it at home. It wasn't expensive but now I have to take the time to go back. Ugghh...

The staff members are always so friendly and helpful at this location, and I always appreciate how they go out of their way to help! Today I sadly witnessed an obnoxiously rude customer completely lose it on one of the cashiers, who handled the situation calmly with utmost professionalism while resolving the issue. All, please remember to treat your customer service folks kindly, they are doing the very best they can.

This is specifically for the grooming salon, I love shopping here and the employees in retail are super helpful and friendly .I’ve been taking my puppy here to get groomed since July until he came home with open wounds and completely shaved off raw. They have different people working in there every time (which I understand the job market) but I’ve never had this bad of an experience with him being groomed before. I have to take him to the vet and keep him separated to avoid further infection in his wounds from this grooming service. While I was in there waiting to pick my puppy up the dogs in there were screeching and crying it was completely awful. My vet told me to call them back immediately but I can’t even get ahold of anyone because it just rings. Do not bring your dogs here. I paid $75 plus a 20% $15 tip and now have a traumatized wounded pup and a vet bill.

I neeed a hobby. I'm retired, can't have a dog where I live... I started my first tropical fish tank when I was 6 years old. Guppies, neon tetras, basic stuff... If fish costs 50 cents 60 years ago, it ain't 50 cents today!!! My last fish tank was a 160 gallon, curved front glass tank... I had everything in it. Always FRESH WATER, never had nor was interested in SALT WATER fish...Now I decided to get a fish. So I Googled Mapped 'tropical fish near me' and came up with with this PetSmart... Drove the 20 minutes walked into the store, and was immediately 'confronted' by people with their dogs who wanted to sniff me, jump on me, or bark at me 😱.Then it hit me like the proverbial TON OF BRICKS😵... PetSmart is a DOG 🐶🐕 PLACE!!!Not a CAT 🙀🐱 PLACE!!!And it certainly is NOT a Tropical Fish place 🐟🐠...No need to go into detail any further.... Suffice it say, if you want CAT STUFF, or TROPICAL FISH STUFF, know what you want, because the staff at this store ONLY KNOWS ABOUT DOGS 🐶🐕🐶🐕😭🤔😱

Book your bath and haircut for $95 includes nail trim.Arrive they ask do you wamt the nail trim, i say YES. Wondering why are they asking me this because Nail trim is included.Pick up our dog. $100 + $15 for nail GRIND. I said i wanted the nails rounded so the nails wouldn't make a noise when our dog walks. NO mention at that time that nail grind is extra $15. Again online appt was $95.Ok fine on the nail grind trim language yada yada yada.But then, at checkout.Oh it is a holiday weekend so it is $5 more. WT*******? NOWHERE DOES IT SAY THIS ONLINE APPT SETTING, APPT CONFIRMATION EMAIL OR TEXT.RIDICULOUS. NAIL GRINDING? BARELY!!! MY OWN NAIL GRINDING AT HOME IS BETTER.NOT TO MENTION the STAFF. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND I WAS SERVED BY THEIR SALON LEAD, NICE ENOUGH MAN, BUT CLUELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE AT MINIMUM, AND INTENTIONAL MISLEADING TO PAD BILL $20 AT WORST.NEVER AGAIN!
