Dollar stores are always excellent. There are many things that you will see later in a regular store for much more then you will pay at a Dollar general store. I definitely try to buy whatever I can at the dollar store. So far everything I've bought has been just fine. Cashier's seem to be pretty laid-back and nice. I will continue to use our dollar store whenever possible.

Cashier was friendly and helpful with items we were looking for. Store was fairly well stocked. Prices were typical for a Dollar General. The only negative we saw was that there were several carts for stocking merchandise that were sitting in the aisles that made it slightly difficult to navigate some of the aisles. A convenient location right along Route 225 near the school.

Friendly workers (though some are a bit chatty when you're waiting in line to get out of the store), store always clean and usually well stocked (unless there's a big sale then shelves are emptied quickly). Also, they have storage containers, but no lids to go with them so watch when you pick those up. Very convenient stop on way home.

What's not to like about Dollar General? We go there for MUCH lower prices for laundry soap, coffee, paper towels etc. Once again you get the idea they do not have enough staff although I've never been kept waiting at check out. Typical of this area, staff is always genuinely friendly and helpful.

This is a great place to grab toiletries or a gallon of milk. I also love their party supplies and art supplies aisles.NOT a place to buy lightly packaged foods. The soap and perfumes sold in this store make all things not in a can or in the refrigerated section smell (and taste) like air fresheners. We've had to throw away hot chocolate, hot dog buns, and candies due to the chemical taste.Serves us right for not making the trip to a real grocery store! I will note that we've never had this problem with food purchases from other local convenience stores.

Don’t appreciate the cashier walking away from me to stock stuff on the floor. I know she saw me I was second in line and instead she leaves after finish the elderly customer in front of me. Did not come back or acknowledge me.

The main manager at this store is atrocious. She is unbelievabley inattentive to the store and always has a major attitude any time I shop here while she is working. I have had no issues with any other employee, besides her. I cannot fathom how she even has a job here still. Someone needs to give her a reality check, and this store definitely deserves a better manager.

Gotta love the clearence section. Dollar general is definitely a good place if you need 1 thing. Majority of the time there is only 1 cashier open but thats typical for discount stores. I personally like going to dollar general for odds and ends.

It's good to have a "handy market" around that handles a little bit of everything. The prices are fair. The store at Dauphin doesn't stink too bad yet, the way so many Dollar General stores do. Once they get that smell... that odor like a mix of cinnamon brooms and Va-Boom grape-scented all purpose cleanser, well then I just can't bear to go in the places anymore and have that horrid cloying stench infiltrate into my clothing and onto my skin. But as for now, it doesn't stink too bad.

Perfect store for basically all needs. Very convenient for in town and out of towners. Rivals big businesses with phenomenal sales and surprise discounts! Just got 11% off my final purchase tonight! Staff is very friendly, great place!!!

This dollar general is better than most in the area because it is relatively cleaner and less stock is blocking that shopping aisles.I was able to find the few things I needed and a couple extras that I did not.

The sign at the register said they need more "quators". I shouldn't have said anything. But I said there isn't a "o" in quarters. Her response was something like: it don't matter or I ain't worried.... She pretty much told me in broken English to f off. This store is next to an elementary school where I'm sure the kids are smarter than this unfortunately employee.No one likes to be corrected. I get it. But not knowing how to spell quarters and defending it is bad form. Country does not have to mean rude and stupid.

What the heck happened to this brand new store& who the heck is managing this mess of a store inside open containers everywhere....stuff thrown all over.... it's like corporate could care less who runs these stores or how the appearance looks inside unreal how a store less than a year old looks like it's been open for 10years and obviously has a staff that just dont give a damn some are friendly and do well others are to worried about their cellphones and smoking out front

Was here once and was a nice store well organized and even had a staff person ask if needed any help. That goes a long way in my book and doesn't happen often at the other Dollar General stores I have visited.

Lite on stock. Hard to find prices for some items. Fast checkout. Nice cashiers. Low on animal supplies. Well stocked on gardening items.

Came in here on three different occasions and all three times could not find what I want because they were out of stock. Store is Pretty good overall just needs to be stocked up with more items (it's items that they carry)

Great place to shop variety of items to choice from. They have a frozen section and food aisle. Great when you need something you forgot to get at grocery store!

Great place to shop if your a Dauphin resident you save money in the long run. You drive to Harrisburg the cost of gas ,wear and tear on your vehicle versus you can get your basic needs for a reasonable price.
