Al's is my first ice cream shop since moving to Pittsburgh and no reason to go anywhere else! We started off with a couple of great, juicy hotdogs! My sundae was so large, I guess because of it's deliciousness it was easy to finish! The flavor and the portion sure beats where I came from. Sad to saw I don’t have any pictures but holy moly the servings are humongous. We ordered smalls and couldn’t finish them. Excellent ice cream. My wife the dole whip. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. These guys really know what they are doing and take good care of you. Highly recommend!

Outstanding soft ice cream cone! Huge doesn't begin to describe the serving and the vanilla I had was excellent from the first bite to the last. Other customers were enjoying this spot as well. 5 stars!

Pittsburgh has its fair share of awesome ice cream shops but Al’s ranks near the top of my list. The ice cream is amazingly creamy. Their portion sizes are very generous. We will definitely be back.

This place NEVER disappoints! Very seldom can you say that about a business. Their employees are always kind, efficient, they have great prices and very generous servings. I don’t know how anyone can eat a cone size above a small-they’re gigantic! Great job yinz.

Be warned there will probably be a line; however, the wait is totally worth it! The portion sizes are bigger than what you would normally expect! The large cone was probably as tall as my head, I'd definitely get it again. The ice cream quality is smooth and creamy and stayed firm enough while I ate my cone, didn't drip everywhere (of course depending on how quickly you eat your ice cream your experience may differ).

Great ice cream at a good price! My husband and I finally went here last week and we were shocked at how much ice cream you get on a large cone for how cheap it was. Was delicious!

I don't like the texture of the ice cream. That's just me personally. Their large cone is so huge can't finish it. But the place is always busy in the summer.

I stopped there this evening to get ice cream with a friend, I ordered a small Oreo tornado with rainbow sprinkles on top! Of course I paid extra for the rainbow sprinkles I have no problem with that! I asked for the tornadoes like the blizzards he stated yes, well they're nothing like the blizzards let me start off there! I received a small cup filled with vanilla ice cream and very few Oreo pieces in it and less than a teaspoon of rainbow sprinkles on top! I went back up and said to the young man's could you please add some more Oreos there's hardly any in here, with a puzzled look on his face she walked back and put a scoop of Oreo pieces on top of the vanilla ice cream and hand it back to me! Now if I wanted a cup of vanilla ice cream I would have ordered that instead of paying 579 for the suppose tornado I was supposed to get

🤩😵 The portions of there cones/cups etc. are double if not triple the amount of any other ice cream shop i have ever been to…..They LITERALLY have to tilt the Large cone to FIT IT out the pick up window!If you know any Ice Cream Shop that can top that …. Bring on the pics 📸🍦🏆

Eyes are bigger than your stomach at Al's, the ice cream is the best around and there's more than enough of it, too!A medium cone is more than enough for most people, but if you want to feel like an ice cream king, order a large cone and see what a skyscraper of sweetness looks like!

The smalls are enough for anybody unless you are 18 years old. Ice cream is excellent the special mixed drinks with candy in them are very good, but as I said earlier the small is all you need. Very nice time easy parking in and out.

First time there on August 5, 2022. The cones are HUGE! And the size is not trying to over compensate for taste. It was AMAZING! The ice cream hit my mouth like a thick and creamy mac truck of deliciousness. GO TO AL'S! You will NOT be disappointed. I apologize ahead of time for causing you to think about nothing else but this ice cream. Now, get in your car and go there. What are you waiting for?

Great ice cream shop. Locally owned too. It's a Jefferson Hills landmark! Highly recommended.Just a hop, skip and a jump from the little league baseball fields at the community park on Rt 885. Al's Cone Zone is your choice for that victory ice cream!Plenty of parking at the lot next door.

I'm lactose intolerant so I get the dole whip and it's awesome. I used to get the regular ice cream which is still great according to everyone I know. You get so much of everything here. The "small" size is always massive. Love this place.

Love it! It's quick and yummy! I can walk there from my house and it is always good. Although I don't recommend the cherry slushie it tastes like cough syrup. Other than that great place. You can even get a free doggy dish which is a bowl filled with a dollop of vanilla ice cream and a milk bone on top of you get one for your self.

Very good ice cream. Super huge portions. Got the soft serve medium and I could barely finish it. Next time I'm getting the small. Prices are very much like DQ but you get way more!

Hands down a staple in the community when it comes to ice cream. They also hold a ton of local fundraisers for school groups. Come here with our daughter every chance we get. The prices are reasonable and the team is friendly.
