They have pa dutch birch beer! Need I say anything more. If you like birch beer this is the place to grab it. Also store seemed quite clean and well stocked. Employees seemed nice and helpful. Plus they have self checkout lines here too!

Went to karns on spring rd in Carlisle PA and lettuce was $3.50. LOL. Are you kidding me!!!! Giant, weiz, and Walmart are all under $2.00 a head. Don’t go to this store to save money is my recommendation.

I was there on Sunday and the cashier was mean and rude. She tough the money was fake. I think she was rude that ! Just because I am Hispanic doesn't mean we have fake money!!

It was clean and bright. I usually go on Wednesdays and there really isn't many people inside the store. I like that they sell bulk candy, nuts, and sugar free stuff as well. The employees are very nice and treated me well. Prices are good! Meat counter is awesome! Many different types of meats! Some completely fresh from the back. Have a rack of ribs? They will cut it for you. They make their own ground hamburger. I would definitely recommend going g here!

This store has the best meat counter hands down. The biggest selection and best-looking meat of any grocery store. They also beat everyone with chicken prices. The deli lunch meat prices also can't be beat. If you haven't checked this store out, you really should.

Friendly people and convenient location. The only time I run into low level customer service is toward evening when some employees get lost in end of day cleaning and forget about customer service. So frustrating that Karns is faking into the lazy game if having self check out... NO! JUST NO! either give me a cashier or give me a paycheck for doing the job. Especially frustrating when things don't scan... this is not our job!! Have at least one register open anytime your store is open please.

I love this place! I was able to find different items here at this Karns that I couldn't find at the Karns in Boiling Springs! I needed lunch meat and cheese,they had Clearfield Cheese at this store where the other ones did not have it! There selection of produce was very nice and I got a seedless watermelon. Very sweet tasting! Also picked up some of their own smoked sausage and a great price for their own pork loin! It was 1.99 per pound. I will definitely be back here again in the future!

Went to karns and got fresh hamburger patties. Ate some froze the rest. Went to get some out the other day,meat had turned brown almost black. I thru it away. Bad enough meat is expensive, now it is spoiled.

Karns Food was very clean, and well organized. It is always an experience when you go to a new grocery store, luckily this experience was excellent. They didn't have what I needed, but the 2 clerks who helped me were wonderful.

Best Grocery Stores in central Pennsylvania. Meat department rocks! Produce section has the best local apples you can buy, try them. Baker at the Carlisle store does fantastic work. The hot bar has great food in your in a hurry. Every one is super helpful.

I love Karns!!!! Fresh meet choices, and they will cut, slice, trim package to your liking. You can call in and place an order for the butcher. Produce same deal. Want to home can local vegetables and need large quantity just call and set up when to pick up. The donuts, OMG, cakes, pies, soup, ready to eat chicken...all made right there fresh!!!! You just can't beat small town friendliness with big chain service!

I bought some Popeye from the deli, and it had a sour taste to it, needless to say, I tossed it out. Other than that, the trip to the store was pleasant, it was nice to see a customer helping another customer over being short 1$. The store employee wouldn't let him go, hence the reason I waited in line so long. Only 1 human register open. Smh

Karn's is a place I'm always happy to shop. Things are so fresh and organized. The staff is always pleasant and willing to assist. We even tried their Plain Fried Chicken today and it was great!. I've been to three locations and have always had the same experience.

Bought 10 lbs of chicken legs. Yesterday.Totaling 12.00 + change.Planned to cook on grill today. Chicken had a very bad foul smell.Emailed karns and Called karns regarding itAnd would bring back the chicken to themAt first was told they replace the chicken why would we want more again after this situation but then said had to talk to someone else and then told They would not do anything for usThey don’t refund you , or give gift card at least anymoreThis was not right. To us as a customerWe shopped that store and spent money.I want to get this out there to other ppl regarding karns in Carlisle on spring roadI would also like Scott karns the owner to contact us

I love the meat and seafood counter. I love the cashier service instead of self-checkout, although they do have self-checkout stations. They have a decent produce section, usually carrying seasonal fruits. I have never had a problem with their fresh vegetables going bad a day after purchase. I do not like the way the deli counter pre-slices the meat and lets it sit waiting for you to come by and order it. Not as large as big- name food stores--they do have a nice selection of products, but if you are looking for a specific recipe item, you may have to look elsewhere. Over all, they are a great neighborhood food store with good deals.

The precut cold cuts taste like mixed flavors of the cold case. As do what they package and preweigh. When asked to cut it fresh, I am consistantly met with attitude. Today they aquiesced, but gave me the "ends" of BOTH the cheeses i ordered. Employee convienence outweighs customer satisfaction, I guess. Sigh. I try to give local establishments my business rather than corporate giants, but i have about had it with Karns, Carlisle. .

Love the convenience and location. Bought the 10lb hamburger special. It’ll be the last time. Smelled spoiled. The workers are very helpful and friendly though. I’ll just be buying my hamburger elsewhere. It’s expensive throwing out over $50 in meat at this time. 😕

The Karns meat department is legendary. Their quality is absolutely the best, but if you are savvy, they can also be a great deal. I've gotten chicken wings, bacon ends, and veggies for super cheap (just have to watch for the sales.)Above all, I love their support of PA producers. They stock a ton of local products and produce. From canned beans to hot sauce to fresh mushrooms, I bought a lot of Pennsylvanian goods in my last shopping trip.

Stopped in for the first time. Found great prices on fish and meats. The employees at the sea food counter was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Very pleased with the large selections of fresh chicken and turky. Several employees greated me and my wife and asked if they could help. We shop here when we have to because it’s the closest grocery store to our home. It’s a shame that the quality of the food here is so bad because the location is convenient for us.One one occasion we purchased about a dozen peaches from here and they all had worms inside (no visible entry points or signs of spoilage on the outside of the peaches). All of their produce seems to be poor quality and very low selection.On another occasion I purchased a premade pretzel bun sandwich that looked delicious. The meat and cheese was almost flavorless and the bun was completely soggy.On another occasion I purchased a cookies and cream fudge. It had a bad aftertaste and didn’t taste like fudge at all. It tasted like it was made using synthetic ingredients. The whole bakery section seems to be low quality products.The product brands that this store carries all seem to be very low quality and many just taste bad.In addition, this is the most expensive grocery store I have seen since we moved to PA. Even more expensive than wegmanns which is known for its high quality and top notch brands.Looking at all the 5 star reviews on here and the way they are written my assumption is that many if not most of them are karns employees who are encouraged to give a 5 star review to each karma foods location in order to bring up the google review ratings.

Karns is kinda on the expensive side. If you shop at karns your better off trying to get the deals. 3/9 4/10. Deals like that. This karns is pretty clean. Not really busy. Check out was very painless. Lady was very polite. Fast too. Prices are high. Like I mentioned at the beginning. Bakery was horrible when I was there. 8/6/21.. pretty much nothing in there. They definitely need to step there bakery up.
